For anyone in the comments who don't see the joke here or didn't see the livestream last night, the band were sending up the ill-fitting nostalgia of the festival by dressing in elderly drag of their past selves , playing only the hits & no Foundations, & made the whole vibe really weird intentionally. Gerard's singing style & movements were all in character too, a parody of the growling, macho-acting rockstar persona they fell into back in 2005. Hardly spoke to the crowd, & when they did, it was mostly nonsense or unintelligible. If you see other footage on Twitter etc, the stage crew was dressed as doctors & nurses & Frank very slowly shuffled over to his mic with assistance from one of them before thrashing around like the old days as soon as the music started. He even pulled out a white Epiphone at one point. I love the way he just sort of made a gagging noise during this song instead of "trust me". I fucking love this band.
ALSO how mikey didnt look old but was covered in blood. he's addressed that hes od before and that he would've died if he kept going down that road. Welcome to the black parade was also played off key.. my hearttt

As a guy from the 3rd world who grew old listening to MCR this video makes me so happy just by watching it, incredible this was recorded on 2022, hopefully I'll have the luck to see them in concert one day ;(.

I'm so glad some people got to see the festival on Sunday. Saturday we were on our way to the gates when a friend told us the festival was canceled. Turned my guts to ice, looks like it was amazing.

Trying to get back to Australia was a nightmare but it eventually happened. The problems began to arise when I couldn't find a cheap flight back from the original one I surrendered to the Qantas so I could leave L.A. in September. I was to fly back on 9 October to 20 October...I had tickets for 2 of their LA shows but it's be nothing but is have been nothing but shitful and disappointing way to not be able to fly back to see them. Glad you were there to enjoy the awesome of what it woul be! So now I now have to wait another 6 months for them to arrive in Australia in March 2023..
