0:40 Shoot, made a small mistake. Drowssap is Dakota's mother's maiden name, not his maiden name. Hope that small mistake didn't ruin the whole video! Me being a bit of a perfectionist, this small mistake makes me want to just scrap the video, fix it, then upload it again, but ugh. it's such a small mistake, it's not worth the hassle. So yeah, Drowssap is Dakota's mother's maiden name.

btw, Cavendish studied time travel for 20 "cycles". He didn't say years.
(It could mean semesters, or trimesters, or moon cycles (months)).
@@heathertoomey7068 @Heather Toomey Usually in the way he said it, it would be interpreted as 20 years. (And in the French version, Cavendish says "I didn't study time travel for a duration of 20 years of my life to go around pushing a cart filled with pistachios). To me it just makes more sense since time travel must be a very hard job to get. If it only took 20 months/semesters there would be way more people becoming time travelers just to win the lottery and hide somewhere in the past. And there must be a lot of things to learn to become a time traveler. Remember, Cavendish knows how to fix their time machine, time-related gadgets (like the age-regressor ray), and he can fly a plane which was probably part of his studies.

My main takeaway from them being from the future is we don't know how the education system works; so they could have gotten out of school a lot earlier.
The idea that Dakota already lost a partner is one that is very interesting to me and does make sense. If he couldn't be there for his first partner, he's gonna be there for his new one.
And I agree, we really need to see Cavendish caring for Dakota a lot more. My thoughts are that he should be in a situation where he is forced between either saving Dakota or getting a promotion. His obsession with getting one, gaining recognition could serve as a narrative means to show how much Dakota means to him.
I would love a spin-off of just Cavendish and Dakota time travelling from The Cretaceous period to Ancient Rome or even to Present day. And if by the first season the writers exhausted any time period to go to, they could just start season two with them being P.I.G. agents and go on weird alien adventures. And they could throw actual counter agents to counter them or maybe made them the B-plot with Brick and Savannah as their nemesis.
I mean if they need a B-plot to make it more interesting they could just include Doof and Perry again. And maybe even have a C-plot about other characters from P&F or MML

Honestly I'd be a bit disappointed if this was the way they chose to go, i love Dakota and Cavendish but I also love Milo and his friends! However Would I still watch the crap out of a Dakota and Cavendish show? Yes. Yes I would.

yess this is what i’ve been thinking all along! Cavindesh makes us think that Dakota is careless and stupid but if you pay attention it seems like Cavandish is the careless one. I mean he did die like 100 times
"Cycles" doesn't necessarily mean years, it could be like a "term" or a "semester" in school, which where im from, there's usually 4 terms and 2 semesters per year. Personally I have a headcanon that the reason Cav seems so much older than Dakota at their "current" age (when they seemed so much closer to the same age in the past) is because "barrister in the queens court" was a mission he did on his own (for whatever reason) and it took him a lot longer to complete than expected (I pin it at 7-10 years), its also why the other agents and block don't really respect him. I put Dakota at early 20s when they met, and Cav closer to 30, so originally they would have been 7-10 years apart and now they are 14-20 . ALSO pretty sure it was the "destroyed earths second moon" thing that got them demoted. I also think they've been partners for around 7-10 years of linear time, which actually works out to about one cav-death per month.
We can all agree THAT they are just made for each other.....
I love your analisis theories. If Dakota's old partner died, he could've started with saving him and not eating a burito. Or even after saving Cavendish a few times he could've saved his old partner. So probably his old partner just left him.
Thanks! I feel like since it's against the rules to go back in time to save your partner, that's why Dakota didn't do it. But he deiced to go for it with Cavendish because he didn't want to lose another partner. And if he decided that after saving Cavendish, he would go save his old partner, then he wouldn't have met Cavendish. He would have to undo their entire friendship if he were to go back in time to save his first partner.

Maybe there was some reason why he couldn’t go back and save his old partner. Like maybe he died while talking to Mr. Block or another time agent or something so Dakota would’ve gotten caught?
I mean he does seem like he already knows Brick and Savanna, maybe they were working together with Dakota and his old partner on a mission when his partner died?
Maybe he saved his old partner and then wiped his memory so he wouldn't report him.
Maybe Dakota left HIM because he was such a stickler for rules that he would tell on him even for that. Maybe that's why he bonds so much to Cavendish, because Cavendish refused to report him when he did something good.
Maybe (and this is just the writer part of me that came up with this, and I’m not super-familiar with the series myself, so take that with a grain of salt) there’s 2 more possible theories: 1- Multiverse Theory could be at work for the first partner, which means that a different Cavendish WAS said partner, or 2- Dakota’s first partner was somehow related to Cavendish, and the loss made him even more deadset on keeping Cavendish alive. Again, I’m not super-familiar with the series, and I’m just basing these ideas on what seems more logical in terms of plot, and not… plot. I mean, I’m looking at this from the writers’ point of view, and not the characters’. Sorry, not very good with words, unless it’s about my obsession with pre-gunpowder weapons and warfare or when I’m working on my stories, lol.
I think your theory makes sense, and also remembering that Doofenshmirtz was the one who "created" time travel, no wonder why the job is dangerous.

Also I really like that the only explanation we get in the show to why Dakota is constantly saving his partner is "He's Cavendish, what can you do?"
I have a theory that Cavendish is related to Milo, that's why he has so much bad luck

Trying to guess age based on physical appearance is tricky. For example, it has been said that the more recent Presidents all aged more than 8 years during their 2 terms, supposedly due to the stress of the job. But if you look at a lot of Hollywood celebrities, they look a lot like they did decades ago! Heck, Tom Cruise is almost 60! Look at him! That's not fair!
So my theory, that we need more episodes to prove or disprove, is maybe Dakota is actually older than Cavendish!
Or maybe not.
It is tricky, especially when time travel is involved. Dakota could have aged faster because of him going back in time to save Cavendish. I do like the idea of Dakota being older than Cavendish since sometimes Dakota acts more mature than Cavendish. And it would be a little plot twist. But they intentionally drew Cavendish to look older in the Christmas episode, so I dunno

Hey i have an idea for a milo murphys law theory you could do, why is saving the pistachios so important? At first it just seems like cavendish and dakota were given the mission juts to keep them busy, but then when they get demoted the job goes to rick and Savannah. They're supposed to be first class agents so why would they be given that mission? Were they just not good at their job? And why send anyone on that mission if it was just busy work? Besides couldn't their boss just have them bring the pistachios directly to the future?
I feel lile their is definitely something else going on... Though it could be nothing, just seems wierd
There is also that incident in the Christmas episode where Mr. Block's future-self tells him to not fire them that night. Then the crossover happens and then Block ends up firing them. So did his future-self know about the pistachon invasion?
But technically Cavendish and Dakota caused the pistachio invasion by saving that pistachio tree, creating the first pistachion. I guess you can say that Block wanted to fire them for a while, but his future-self told him not to because ever since the first pistachion was created, the world would be destroyed without Cavendish and Dakota. So keeping them around until they fulfill their destiny would be for the best.
This could be a good idea for a theory if they didn't caused the pistachion invasion. Because then Block could have had his future-self tell him to give Cavendish and Dakota that mission, knowing that they can save the world. Keeping the real reason for their mission a secret to not mess up their destiny and the timeline too much. But if Cavendish and Dakota caused it, then it would be easier to NOT give them the protecting pistachios mission, unless Block's future-self didn't know what caused it, he just knew that if Cavendish and Dakota stick around a little longer, then the world would be saved.
And like you said, Cavendish and Dakota get demoted. Why didn't Block's future-self stop that from happening? Unless after he demote them, the world is still saved, so Block's future-self allows that to happen thinking that Brick and Savannah will end up saving the world, that's why Cavendish and Dakota didn't get credit for what happened because Block think Brick and Savannah are suppose to save the world, that's why they're still protecting pistachios in season 2 even though the threat is no longer there. Hmmm, maybe there is enough material for some sort of weird theory. But it's a theory that is completely unintentional by the writers, cause this is too convoluted. It's like building a puzzle, connecting all the pieces together, but the image you're left with is not the same as what's on the box, but all the pieces still fix together.

Yeah, I thought of that, too! Cause 31 divided by 10 is 3.1, 39 divided by 10 is 3.9, and both of those and everything inbetween would be considered 3. Besides, Milo says "our three year old parents", so Dakota (and the teacher) wasn't necessarily included.

This might sound weird but why didn't Dakota go back in time to save his first partner it could be because he was to sad but I'm not sure maby he's partner had to sacrifice himself for the valley and there was no other way to save it so if Dakota would have saved him the valley would be gone
When's the next episode
1) 3-years-old can be anything from 3 to 4 years. 3 years 11 months is still 3 years old. So the parents could be up to 40
2) the fact that Cavendish was a barrister in the _queen's_ court indicates that, in the canon of the show, Queen Elizabeth lives(d) at least another 150 years

Why haven't you been uploading? Did you quit, does it take a long time to edit, or is there something going on?
Mainly haven't been uploading due to work (I have to work more than usual due to COVID). That's the main reason why I pretty much only posted one video this year. BUT, that doesn't mean I'm quitting UA-cam, it just means I'm taking an extra long break for now. I barely have any subscribers so I figured no one would notice if I disappear for a bit but I guess someone did! Thank you for checking up on me!

Nope, maybe it's because I'm a really small channel. But usually you need a boarder around the video and only use audio from the episode when necessary. Try to avoid using music from episodes because sometimes it'll automatically detected it and strike it even if it's fair use. The main thing is to put as much original stuff into your video for it to be fair use.
