If you've never read Dr. du Bois' novel "The Quest for the Silver Fleece," please read it as soon as you can. It is one of the best works I have ever read.
Keep in mind he was a Communist. A lot of the appeals to pain, racism, etc with the end goal is political power.

W.E.B Du Boise was living in Ghana and died in Ghana, so I traveled from DC to ACCRA GHANA to visit his grave, November 2014 I was in Ghana and the my dream became reality to see Du Boise grave, his beautiful house, library,and I read a his book. The place tourist attractions place so will advise every blacks in the diaspora to go there to visit AFRICA the motherland, I built 22 apartments in Ghana for renting. Snoop Drift-Era 'Du Boah' is the correct French pronounciation. However, he pronounced it 'Du Boys' out principal.
