1. On May 10, 1940, German troops invaded the Netherlands.
2. On May 15, 1940, the Dutch armed forces surrendered.
3. The ROYAL family left for London, and a pro-German government was created in the country.
4. Two SS divisions (23rd and 34th) were created from Dutch volunteers.
The Netherlands was liberated by Allied forces from German occupation on May 5, 1945.
