I honestly know how awful this can make you feel. Just hours after my cat, Molly, died I was watching UA-cam, and someone fake cried, and just that made me break down. Take your time to get through it. I won't say sorry, or she's still there, because none of it helps. I'll just say, it sucks, and take your time getting over the grief. I love these lyrics.
I feel like they're so different than most songs lyrics.
To me I think of the lyrics basically telling a story about a girl that talks about an imaginary great and wonderful life that she wishes she had.
So when she says "Lucy in the skies with diamonds", she is trying to say that she is day dreaming about having a life she would enjoy.
At one point she says
"and she's gone."
I think when she says that shes trying to say that shes gone from reality and any problems shes been focusing on, because she's in her mind/ day dreaming.

I'm just saying what comes to my mind when I read them.

I love that a cover this beautiful still feels like it's made by a real person. Sometimes covers and videos feel so produced that it feels isolating. But, Dodie, your videos are like scrapbooks, complete with little messages and accidents that help create this wonderful creation that feels so real and human
