I love seeing how much your style has changed over the years. like the earlier ones were simple but effective and then we come to years like 2020 and it's so much fuller and clearer sounding. My favourite thing is coming back to see these every year and this compilation made me tear up a bit. dodie, you have an incredible voice and such immense talent, thank you for all of these eerily beautiful Christmas tunes.

I have a tradition where every year I play the Dodie Christmas Video for my dad and he's so impressed that it "sounds like the same song but like a different song" then he says that the minor one sounds "a bit sad isn't it?" And then he goes back to being impressed and sings a long a bit

i always forget just how hard the 2020 mashup/ trailer actually goes
floors me everytime
my son was born on halloween 2017 and i remember watching the very first one with him when it was released. he was a super cranky baby, and he been crying nonstop that day, and i was sleep deprived and overwhelmed and out my depth, and i turned it on and he calmed RIGHT down and listened and it was an absolute miracle. i just watched this entire compilation with my 5-year-old sitting next to me. he's a lot less cranky these days and still absolutely loves christmas music.

If ever Tim Burton makes a story about Rudolph, I want to hear Dodie's version of the song in it!

Classic Christmas songs in a minor key hit the perfect melancholic feeling that spending holidays without certain loved ones give you. That bittersweet "I have wonderful holiday memories with you, but I miss you so much today."
So last Christmas was supremely shit for me. Covid had me locked up in my room, and I think I ended up crying pretty much all day. The only thing that I remember making me smile around that time was watching Dodie’s ‘21 Christmas video.
This year’s on track to be better 🤞, but I just wanted to say that Dodie brought a little light into a real sad time for me.

God the clip for 2021, at 4:20 just scratches the DEEPEST ITCH. They're not even my own memories and I feel so nostalgic and sentimental and yES i had a bit of a cry at that one.
