This is the payload comparison of the 10 most powerful rockets ever built (as of 2024). For some rockets like the space shuttle, the orbiter also counts as part of the payload.
Rockets featured in this video: Starship, Saturn V, Energia-Buran, SLS Block 1, N1, Space Shuttle, Falcon Heavy, Delta IV Heavy, Long March 5B, Angara A5.
Made with materials from SFS - Spaceflight Simulator PC version.

Something to note about this video:.
1. Rocket concepts and upcoming rockets that haven't finished construction are not included (by July 2022).
2. Shuttle can only carry 25 tons to LEO, but why does it have a higher rank than Falcon Heavy? The space shuttle also carries itself + 7 astronauts into orbit, so the payload weight also contains part of the shuttle orbiter. And the shuttle has a much greater liftoff weight than falcon heavy also.
Did you play Sfs before the Pc version came out too?
You need to watch hazergrayart

wheres proton
@@RandomizedRandom Proton's maximum payload to LEO is 23.7 t, less than Angara A5. And Angara A5's purpose is to replace Proton.

Your rocket builds are realistic keep it up man!
It's cool to see "tiny" Energia between other huge top 5 monsters.
Man, I had chills! 👀🍿❤️
This Build is So EPIC!
This is MASTERPIECE, litteraly
Simply Impressive!
Amazing video :D
Simple Builds but Impressively Well done
that is not really simple, just try building something like that
I don’t think that’s “simple” I tried building the rockets shown in the earlier video titled “first orbital attempts by each country” without bp edits and it ended looking terrible.
Haha! I was right! Great vids, btw. Keep it up!!
Amazing
That Delta IV upper stage looks neat
Love it... better than SFS DUO
Good vid
nice
Amazing! The attention to detail is amazing. I am glad to chose to include Shuttle, Buran and Starship orbiters as payload, because it is really only fair. Awesome!
(Ok, but how did you catch the booster with the tower in SFS?!)
Mod maybe

Where timestamps (before u say, yes I know they have given timestamps in vid)
I cannot wiat for the engine plumes update to see those rockets in more epic view (now its epic too)
Amazing, past technology could easily campare with modern..
One most important info is missing for me-the size of cargo BC its quite important 🙂.
hello and created a version without dlc of the car
can i post the bp?
No second stage on SLS was a little weird. But other than that, good job.
it's because the sls first stage can reach orbit
Just imagine how much writing had to be done for all these rockets
The is wonderful!!
Can you share the custom asset packs for the shuttle doors and landing gear?
Hey, which block variant was the SLS?
You should make a timeline of rockets from v2 to Artemis 1
“No beetles were hurt during the creation of this video”
Mister Musk you are beautiful creating Rockets.
Nice work. Btw,I wandering what mod you use to edie parts, thanks
Great video but actualy energia its the rocket without shuttle (buran) so energia would be just the fuel tank with boosters
Sea dragon?
Is still development
Sea dragon was never actually built,it was just an ambitious project to send very big payloads to space
If it was built it would be tied to starship version 3
No I only see rockets
I take it your eliminating the 2nd stage of off planet vehicles since the measuring stick that has been chosen is LEO?
Perhaps the Falcon Heavy should have been compared in re-usable mode since the Space Shuttle & Buran were compared in this mode.
Also the Energia launch vehicle (sans Buran Shuttle) was capable of 100,000 kg (220,000 pounds) to low Earth orbit, and attempted the delivery of the Polyus Satellite.
Bro u have the perception of the reality
How did you detach the solid rocket boosters from the space shuttle😮
SpaceX’s latest star link satellites have been substituted with Volkswagen Beetles
beetlelink
Why u show the landing of the starship and superheavy but not the falcon heavy boosters?
I have the same space shuttle as you is it a blueprint??
SpaceX Starship will is 121,5 m (400 ft) due using hot staging. They addation interstage betwen booster and ship.
Hmmm they are some other rockets you could included like the Long March 9 but it never was flown and no one knows if it ever would so yeah, couold be cool addition but maybe would not make sense i guess
The cars are looking cute 🥰
The car looks cute**
You can have a more than possible payload weight if u use infinity fuel cheats and capped more than 10 engine
How does the fairings do that in SFS?
noice
wow
I play mobile an shuttle work completely fine and I’m talking about really good realistic shuttles from bp
This edition can't be topped.
I loved the one of the energia, but the N1 is actually more powerful than the Saturn V, SLS block 1, you should have put it in second...
please add GSLV MACH 3 too..
Imagine if the volkswagen bettles de-orbited and chrashed on to eath 😂
Just a normal day of sending *volkswagen beetles to space*

When nasa saw a guy use their SLS block 1 to transfer payload: How dare you
How do make so realistic rockets?
BP edit
Why did we send so many VK Beetles to space ?
i used bp to have the launch pad in space
easy sattelites
does space shuttle has mod
Why in the first launch it’s just bunch of cars?
The cars are ther to show how much weight each rocket can carry.

ARE THOSE CARS
Ohh u just test the payload I got it nice try but where is sea dragon
Sea dragon is just a concept so he didn’t include it

Sea Dragon was never built. There were plenty of gigantic rocket proposals that were never built, such as Nova, Nexus, and LMLV.
SLS look like Ares-5.
You forgot the Sea Dragon.
There are *many* paper rockets that weren't included.
Sea Dragon was never built. Many other proposals, like LMLV or Nexus, also never flew.
Почему это выглядит смешно и в тоже время поразительно

I like how despite it's size Energia could launch so heavy payload into Orbit... Amazing Soviet engineering. Despite this the Russians are known that if they make something that works and it is amazing and beatiful, they will just abandon it...
It cost like 300 million dollars i heard but not sure
Ariane 5 or 6 aren't in that 🔝 10 ?
To include the Ariane 5, this list would need to be extended to 'top 15 🚀'.
11) Proton
12) Falcon 9 Block 5 (expended)
13) Titan IV
14) Saturn 1B
15) Ariane 5
Adding some launch vehicles in development that are expected to launch in the next three to four years would push the Ariane 5 even lower.

hi
Are you bulid the rocket launch
Your data is messed up and your rankings are TOTALLY INSANE.
The N1 has the second highest take-off thrust of ANY rocket ever launched (behind Starship, and WELL ahead of SLS Block 1) as well as the second-highest weight (again behind Starship, and WAY more than SLS Block 1).
Among OTHER mistakes.
Starship had 15,500,000 (appx) pounds of thrust at takeoff (it had 2 of it's raptors not ingnite or flame out BEFORE the clamps were released for takeoff on it's only launch to date, it's rated at 16,500,000).
N1 had ballpark 10,200,000 (and is also mentioned as appx 45 MegaNewtons, so about 45,000 KiloNewtons).
SLS Block 1 about 8,800,000.
Saturn 5 was initially rated at 7,500,000 but the last few built got "uprated" to about 7,800,000
Space Shuttle about 7,150,000
Energia about 6,500,000
I don't speak KiloNewtons specifically, but it appears that a Newton is a Kilogram as a force measurement?
My no dlc sfs space shuttle can put 0 car in it
