    They are incredible little beasties, I used to keep them when I was younger. They are very curious, interacting with everything around them and investigating little spots all over their tank. I really miss keeping them.

    I have had 1 Cynops for 11 years. It never took to water, so about 5 years ago I put it in a terrarium. It seems very happy that way. Your'e enclosure is awesome!!

    Great new additions! The flow shouldn't be much of a problem once they get more chunky and big.

    i was going through my liked videos and i have to say this is *BY FAR* my favorite herp habitat ive ever seen. i find myself really inspired by it and think id like to make something like it someday, maybe a really big multispecies one (although i guess that would mostly be a fishtank with land attached)

    This is a beautiful setup! I wanna do a roughly 50/50 Paludarium setup for my tadpoles / frogs I catch (then to release them back where I found them at once they're grown) n such. We always thought of making a fish tank, layered, with a land mass in the middle or to one side of the tank for normal fish and maybe frogs. Just not sure. Yours is just amazing.

      Thanks, Bro... It was definitely well thought out.. It's a new type of habitat for me, so it's an all new aquatic undertaking .... It was a "safe" choice... as the habitat continues to evolve, so will my ability to maintain and care for it..... Herpetology is fascinating and this is just the beginning.... Gratitude.... Tank On!

      i want to create one of these tanks,I have a 55 gallon tank, i want to put some fish, turtles, fire bellied newts, red eyed croc skinks, chinese water dragons, and green basilisks. I've seen a sucessful video where someone did it, I can't figure out how to scape it! my email is beatbenftw0417@gmail.com, can u contact me and tell me what i'm doing wrong, and how I can make it better? thanks!

      PepeTheFrog putting turtles and newts in the same fish tank to get is not a good idea. The toxic from the newts and the turtle's aggressive behavior.

      Brovi, ..Extreme Gratitude.... I have to tell you that back when you introduced us to your new Gecko's a few months ago is when I started considering keeping other types of inhabitants in the "Greenroom".... I knew the natural habitat had to be the focus, and without much more than your inspiration I went ahead and built the enclosure...It's been an AWESOME ride and I'm grateful to you... It's crazy to think that those two Gecko's and that vid. were a catalyst for the "Paludarium", but its true....and it's great.... Seriously, Thank You!.....

    Fire Belly Salamanders are so nice, I got them years ago, but watch out for them escaping...it happened to me :(
    And they will love life food the little salamanders, like the tubifex /bloodworms feed :)
    Moss is growing in fast and nice underwater and emers,
    TY for the great footage of the new animals in the tank !

    • @DylanTommyNaturalAquatics

      ...Thank You.... In the first hour in the tank the tiniest one climbed up and onto the surface....So, now every time I lift the lid to go inside I always consider that their may be one up here, somewhere that I don't see.... I try to keep track of them.... Lately they spend most of their time in the water feature, in the open..... I want to "grow em Up", I've been feeding frozen bloodworms, but they like moving prey... I noticed they've been digging for detritus worms.. It's been AWESOME... Thanks for watching.....

    • @69bonesz
      @69bonesz 9 років тому

      I remember they like living food more...eh my fish and earlier also my salamanders like the fly's my bf catch in summertime with his flybuzzracket :) Like Daphnia or white misquito larves IDK if your shops sell them?
      And if they feed on your bottom critters it is always good ;) And mine escaped also to a little glass and lid space I forgot to close good....find them back as mummie's :(
      But when I see your footage I miss those little lovely faces :)

      If you have cerntain species of shrimp it can potentially crawl into their skin and eat them from inside out. Other than that it looks ugly and nasty.

    Question. Lovely stuff btw. I'm designing an open-top Paludarium (maybe partially open front as well) and I was wondering what animals you would recommend outside the water (or amphibious). Keep in mind they can almost never leave the Paludarium. I have a wife who would divorce me if she found a creature crawling around our apartment.

    • @DylanTommyNaturalAquatics
      @DylanTommyNaturalAquatics  9 років тому

      ....... Ya, eventually..... They'll definitely eat any of the young shrimplets... and when they get larger they'll be able to do more damage, but right now they're still juveniles and aren't fast enough, nor coordinated.... the shrimp don't even see them as a threat yet.... they don't flee and the confrontations I've seen are always over food.... the shrimp can more easily remove deeper hidden food particles (Bloodworms) from under the rocks and the Newts see the shrimp feeding and go after the worms...... so.... I'll wait and see.......maybe they'll last.... Thanks for watching..... Tank On!
