Agreed. The dial actually changes color depending on the angle of the light hitting it. It can look almost black with more angled light, and then slowly change to a silver with more direct lighting. Really elegant. I can't believe that this Yachty doesn't get more love.
I bought my wife the YM37, with the dark rhodium dial, because she wouldn't wear her other watch while doing sporty activities, like going to the beach or going for a hike. The great thing about it is that it looks good for dressing up as well.
My favourite is the 40mm steel with the platinum bezel and grey speckled dial. They are easily picked up for not much money. Shame you didn’t cover that model in your video but I suppose you can’t do ever variant. Otherwise a very informative video and nice to hear your own opinions rather than just the company line.
I must be a weirdo. My favorite is the everose 2 tone with the brown dial. Rose and steel looks great to me. Really like the rose and steel rootbeer gmt also. Side note: Slap that solid rosegold YM on a black alligator and it will be as dressy as your average man would ever need.
Just watched this as have on order a yacht master 40 on oyster platinum bezel turquoise second hand and asked on your thoughts on getting a jubilee bracelet for it ?? Kevin
I would love to see a comparison between an Explore 2 orange-black, Sub no date and Daytona black dial. These three will be great contrast in styles and sizes.
JAMIE SIEU Except...... HE IS REVIEWING THE YACHT MASTER LINE....**AS, uhhhh, SUBTLY, (I guess?!) MENTIONED IN THE, uhhhh, ****TITLE*** OF THE VIDEO!!!!! What is WITH you people?!?!?!**
@@steveb8571 I know he's reviewing the yatchmaster line, and I think it is great. I am not criticising his review, and merely making a suggestion for the next review. Is that okay with you?
I love the YM, it's a luxurious Submarina designed for those who want more than the tool diver watch look. I have the MY steel and platinum, I picked it up for nothing as the rejected model with the rarity factor. Finally, the dial is not silver, it has a platinum dial and bezel. Nice review.
Great Video, I’m wondering if I can swap the SS YC 40mm bracelet with the Oysterflex one of the 42mm with the glidelock ? Does it have the same 20mm lug width? Thanks 🙏🏼
I have a question which you may find stupid but still i gotta ask. I have the same watch like that on 3:00, the only thing is, it's bracelets are not golden and the bazel is just platinum, it looks more like 168622 YM, and it has "SWISS T
People fall in love w the steel 40 rhodium and then give it up bc it’s not a popular model? Sounds backwards I would love it even more if it’s not a popular model that not many people have...adds uniqueness to the already long list of amazing traits it has. One of the reasons I don’t want a Sub is bc everyone in their mother has it.
I have a budget that could afford most Rolex watches but for some reason I am so attracted to the YM40 with the rhodium dial. Am I being foolish? Will this retain some value? Between this and the ceramic bezel white dial daytona but I cannot swallow the grey market mark up of 10-15k.
In my humble opinion, the Yachtmaster is one of the most beautiful watches Rolex makes. And the Yachtmaster II is one of the ugliest. My preference always goes to white metal, be it steel, white gold, or platinum. Yellow and rose gold often look garish. Not really my cup of tea.
Love the Rhodium 40, though I fell in love with the dial and the touch of blue hands; sometimes I think 🤔 it’s ladish and curvey. What do you think ? Shall I wait for a similar version in 42mm ??! 🤔
Ladyish?? This watch totally reeks alpha male and testosterone. Nothing girly about it at all. It's definitely a more classy and elegant version of the Sub though.
Terry O'Dell it’s good to know it’s perceived this way. You are encouraging me to add it to my collection. I am waiting for used version out of warranty at good price. May be the older version is a better deal, no need for the 72hrs reserve. I love both the blue and the rhodium (love the blue hand on the rhodium). I think the rhodium is more unique. I love the blue color but there are many blue watches out there, specially that I have a Batman and a JC and thinking to have a Bluezy too. Tell me, you guys what do you think 🤔 of that..😄?
@@Romio666 You're right. There are a lot of watches out there with blue dials demanding a big premium (the AP and the PP come to mind). That being said, I'm still having a hard time making up my mind between the blue or the dark rhodium dial. I think they both look awesome. Like I mentioned in another comment here, the dark rhodium dial actually appear to change colors as the light hits it at different angles.
Kris Mason NOT the same for everyone! We each see different “ads” (NOT “adds”, sigh [rolling eyes in exhaustion]) Look: great that you personally feel that way. But contributing THIS as a comment is akin to me publicly musing about flaws I might find in my toilet bowl. UTTERLY POINTLESS. You do realize that each visitor/viewer receives a different “ad experience”, yes? Or did you not know that?
Feel Good Concept Go away! How is your commentary contributing anything even VAGUELY useful to this platform? PS: you’re not even abbreviating “ads” correctly, you jackhole.
The rhodium dial in person is one of the most beautiful I've ever seen
After I watched the video by ‘The Timeless Watch Channel’ on this model it shot right to the top of my wish list. Can’t wait to see one in person!
Absolutely, i got one with rhodium dial and have to say pictures don't justify it. I'm still amazed why it's popularity is not higher.
MC Dermott I have this watch - can’t get it off my wrist. My Sub hasn’t been on my wrist in ages.
Agreed. The dial actually changes color depending on the angle of the light hitting it. It can look almost black with more angled light, and then slowly change to a silver with more direct lighting. Really elegant. I can't believe that this Yachty doesn't get more love.
It doesn’t contrast as good as the other versions. Its is nice tho
I bought my wife the YM37, with the dark rhodium dial, because she wouldn't wear her other watch while doing sporty activities, like going to the beach or going for a hike. The great thing about it is that it looks good for dressing up as well.
And the yachtmaster 40 with the blue dial didnt rate any mention??? Best looking of the lot in my opinion
Ya, completely ignored. not sure why...
I want the full platinum with the diamond & sapphire serti dial....too bad there's only one of them.
Love the YM !! My favourite is the everose chocolate, they are all stunning though !
The rhodium dial is awesome
I don't remember the last time I commented on a you tube video but I wanted to say you do a really great job with these videos!
Fantastic review! Very informative. Thank you!!
Well done. Nice video mate.

Yellow gold with the mother of pearl 😍
I have a yatchmaster ll white gold it a bit hard for me to tell correct time, but it a really nice looking time piece.
Great review, Lovin the Yacht Master 'Root Beer, I think thats going to by my one sports watch
Super helpful video, thanks
My favorite line in the entire Rolex range. My choice is the 2012 platinum dial (now discontinued) ref 116622.
I must be a weirdo. My favorite is the everose 2 tone with the brown dial. Rose and steel looks great to me. Really like the rose and steel rootbeer gmt also.

A Rolex with Precious metal "Platinum Bezel" and a 70 hour power reserve for 12k retail 🤔
Love the YM 40mm Oysterflex. The only colored gold I would wear.
Your picture of the 37mm is actually the 35mm isn't it? I believe the 37mm is only available in rhodium, rose gold and two tone rose gold.
Love mine with the blue dial. Amazing piece!
I have the YM40 blue dial. It’s sporty yet so elegant!
The first steel YM has a platinum bezel AND platinum dial.
Super Review, thank you very much!
I’ll take the stainless steel rhodium in 40mm💯🙌
Love the rhodium dial but I ended up buying a 1997 35mm yellow gold with the blue dial and omg I fucking love it.
Just watched this as have on order a yacht master 40 on oyster platinum bezel turquoise second hand and asked on your thoughts on getting a jubilee bracelet for it ?? Kevin
Rolex is king of watches
Not really... its just the most popular midrange luxury brand....
I have the discontinued yellow gold and stainless version in 40mm
I would love to see a comparison between an Explore 2 orange-black, Sub no date and Daytona black dial. These three will be great contrast in styles and sizes.

If I ever buy a Rolex it will have a Rhodium dial....more important to me than the actual model....even the OP is lovely in Rhodium
I love the yacht Master but blue dial 😍😍 way way more special than a submariner, sea dweller or Deepsea

CK ROY when did you pick it ? For how much ?!
Please help! 16622 or 268622? Or just go for the 126622?? Thanks!
Wrist size at 10:44?
Great Video, I’m wondering if I can swap the SS YC 40mm bracelet with the Oysterflex one of the 42mm with the glidelock ? Does it have the same 20mm lug width? Thanks 🙏🏼
Is the rumour actually true though? That the ym was supposed to be the new sub?

To be precise, it looks like the one on 4:23, but instead of "SWISS MADE" it has "SWISS T
Love the rose gold ym but I hate wearing rubber bands

Rami Abdelkhalek I have this watch - nothing girly about it. It’s my favourite watch 8n my collection by far.
Ala n Mckenna thanks, but I think it’s better to buy it used later, when there will be more available in the market out of warranty.

James Bond thought the Submariner was sufficiently elegant to wear at his wedding. I appreciate your honesty in not liking every watch.
The yacht master would be cool if it was 5k.
James Bond got married wearing a Submariner: hence, the watch was sufficiently versatile and remains so.
The add’s are getting OUT OF HAND!!!🧐

The oysterflex. It’s a bracelet. Not a strap. 😂
Too much ads here...

It was just in case you were not aware
Are you seriously saying people buy this then move away from it to a submariner? My brain is hurting now ...
They not that special anymore
