Hey Krugg, I really liked this video's characters and story. I'd love to see more adventure mode episodes with parties of characters, like these two. Looking forward to your next video.
Maybe the one that said to not keep everything for yourself was the case of the bear and wolf. The bear was given up to get could get away and live, I imagine it couldve been the other way around with the wolf too. Very cool regardless!
So besides the actual boons and curses that can be granted, this seems to mostly be an addition for roleplayers to stir up stuff with the superstitious. I like it. I hope we can get some sort of augury to use in our temples in fortress mode.
I think when Shace was warned to beware of those who lacked passion, the gods may have been warning him about himself. He was indecisive. Combined with other divinations, I'd say the gods were trying to tell him to do something with Geb, who was cursed with lycanthropy. Whether that's a directive to kill or abandon her, if for no other reason than because of how dangerous she is.
Dude, I have never played DF and have no idea what's happening in this game but I love listening to your stories. Hopefully, I can one day get into this game and I would love to see you make a Rimworld series.
Kruggsmash, I want you to hear a little story. You see today I saw you uploaded and thought: OMG Kruggs new video! So I specifically went to the store and bought chips, a dip and a soda to be perfectly comfortable while watching it. When everything was finally set up I realized you are by far my favorite youtuber. Keep it up
Cool look into divinations. The "cooldown" between die rolls *should* be a week, per the "week of good/bad luck",, though I guess it could also be longer. And yeah, towns and villages should have plenty of shrines - one might have to wander around with the proper map mode active to find them occasionally though. I believe dwarven and human religions get to have divination dice, and they are the pantheon-worshiping entities. Goblins and elves might get to worship those gods, but don't create dice, and kobolds, well, they are kobolds.
This will probably be the last time I'll mention this, but if you can at some point, please continue playing Cataclysm: DDA. I know its off topic from the video, but the three stories you told were so memorable that I can still remember them to this day. It has what gotten me into Cataclysm to begin with. I loved the 'evil' narrator that would come in every once and awhile. I loved the tileset (which is Hitbutton), I loved the story for the last character as he realizes the world is gone (When he said, "What has happened to the world?") with tragic music playing in the background. If you could, it would be amazing to play it one more time. Another three set of stories, same tileset, etc. It was just such a good video. I wouldn't mind waiting till' October. I'm just saying that video was solid gold... and I wish at some point you could tell another batch of stories from the Cataclysm (as I said, I would prefer the same settings you had the original video such a tile set, but that's just me) Anyway, thanks for your time. This is just coming from a guy who really enjoyed one of your videos. Cheers.
Great video as always, Krugg! It's hard not to get attached to these characters when you play Adventure Mode. I'm sure drawing them makes it difficult. Their personalities certainly shine through in the artwork, and it's great :D
You had it right up to an extent but I feel there's a part to it that was missed. Wolfs are the most common kind of werebeast in folklore, so the wolf blessing was a sign to warn Shace of Geb's curse. "Don't take everything for yourself" All things given to Shace in his life were the blessings of the gods, be it natural like his bear, or a blessing like his wolf. And that if he did not part with some blessings, such as Geb, that eventually another blessing would be returned back to the gods, that being his bear. "It is time to leave it behind." The final word to Shace to leave Geb behind.. Geb's fate was sealed, but perhaps as a final blessing from the gods, the horse and bear gave their lives so that Shace's fate wasn't. And with that the words of the gods went from mere messages to prophecy, because in the end Shace to give back his bear to the gods as a price for the wolf and he had to leave Geb for good, lest he tempt fate with his death.

well there we go, i’ve finally watched all of your videos. i absolutely love everything you’ve done so far, and i’m super excited to see what you do in the future!!
Galena is pronounced like lean meat. Its a town in Illinois where the mineral high in lead is mined. It also happens to be U.S Grants home
You are the Mister Rogers and Bob Ross of Dwarf Fortress. No one else has made this game more accessible. Thank you!
You had to do this now of all times I just finished rewatching Skullhorror and then you go and upload again
Sorry {:)
aside from the drawings, the way you look for the stories as they emerge is what has drawn me to Your channel. other DF Plays are usually just People playing, and it is up to us the audience to find the stories. you bring the worlds to life With Your speculations.
Fairly certain "Have faith and be rejuvenated" would have been a healing blessing if you'd had any wounds.
Hey, i just got to say i really love your videos, ive never really been a big fan of dwarf fortress but your videos make it very entertaining. Your drawings and just the style of the video is perfect. Im one to not leave very many real comments on youtube, but you made me want to leave this message, keep it up.
Hey Krugg, I really liked this video's characters and story. I'd love to see more adventure mode episodes with parties of characters, like these two. Looking forward to your next video.
"Just a couple more nights until a full moon."
oh no
Maybe the one that said to not keep everything for yourself was the case of the bear and wolf. The bear was given up to get could get away and live, I imagine it couldve been the other way around with the wolf too. Very cool regardless!
I actually really loved these two characters. It's a tragic story, but I wish only the best for their future journies.
Your videos are works of art, thank you for making them. :)
I always try my best! Thanks for the kind words and for watching, dude
So besides the actual boons and curses that can be granted, this seems to mostly be an addition for roleplayers to stir up stuff with the superstitious. I like it. I hope we can get some sort of augury to use in our temples in fortress mode.
Gunna need more and long videos of this thank you
Hey Krugg I wanna day thanks for bringing out a video. Remember that you’re amazing!
Well, thank you for watching, dude! It means a lot :)
This channel is so cool
Dude, I have never played DF and have no idea what's happening in this game but I love listening to your stories. Hopefully, I can one day get into this game and I would love to see you make a Rimworld series.
Good work dude
Really loving the inkwork this episode. Very nice. :)
Hey thanks! It took a bit of doing. I've been reading comics again :p
Your story telling is great. Thanks for the videos man.
Kruggsmash, I want you to hear a little story. You see today I saw you uploaded and thought: OMG
Kruggs new video!
"bear with me"
This will probably be the last time I'll mention this, but if you can at some point, please continue playing Cataclysm: DDA.
I'm just saying that video was solid gold... and I wish at some point you could tell another batch of stories from the Cataclysm (as I said, I would prefer the same settings you had the original video such a tile set, but that's just me)
Anyway, thanks for your time. This is just coming from a guy who really enjoyed one of your videos. Cheers.
So relaxing to watch and listen!
Oh good! Sit back and enjoy m'bearded bastard!
Been binge watching your honeystoke series, and i love all your videos! You are awesome! Keep it up!
Great video as always, Krugg! It's hard not to get attached to these characters when you play Adventure Mode. I'm sure drawing them makes it difficult. Their personalities certainly shine through in the artwork, and it's great :D
“Do not keep everything for yourself” probably meant go return those dice you stole
You had it right up to an extent but I feel there's a part to it that was missed. Wolfs are the most common kind of werebeast in folklore, so the wolf blessing was a sign to warn Shace of Geb's curse.
"Don't take everything for yourself"
All things given to Shace in his life were the blessings of the gods, be it natural like his bear, or a blessing like his wolf. And that if he did not part with some blessings, such as Geb, that eventually another blessing would be returned back to the gods, that being his bear.
"It is time to leave it behind."
The final word to Shace to leave Geb behind..
