CRI does not affect the quality/ color of rgb it puts out, it's referring to the accuracy of color rendering of objects illuminated by the white light

The Wyze app is huge (Android at least) and takes too much space on my Samsung galaxy phone. So i uninstalled it. How can we control the bulb without the app?

Yes you can through device grouping. You can also still individually change bulbs and save presets with multiple colors within groups.
In my opinion, it's best to utilize smart lighting in areas where you need various types of lighting for various occasions, such as your bedroom, where you might want to change the brightness of the space based on what you're doing.

Yeah I got it for like 10 dollars so I’m not that mad but fuck this bulb
I just got myself a box of 4 for around 45 dollars at micro center, Personally I use wyze already for all my home things like security and such, For me I experienced no issues.
So I’ll just need a phone to turn on/off the bulb instead of flicking the switch. What an advancement.
For me my light let's me shut them via switch or phone
