Lyrics
I think I’m missing a piece of the puzzle
I could drown when I’m just stood in a puddle
A jet black reservoir sits beneath these scars
It’s all I’ve ever known
Please applaud it’s good to know who’s below me
I keep on preaching but I’m so phony holy
I’ve been stuck on repeat
But I’m ready
I’m ready
I’m ready
It feels like a glass half empty
Is more than I’ll ever have
‘Cause I’ve been fast asleep
Standing still in a stampede
I’m breaking my back
But I’m still sinking like a stone
Yeah, it’s all that I’ve ever known
‘Cause I’ve got nothing left
And I’m still sinking like a stone
I see the smoke but I don’t move a muscle
Pretend I’m broken so you don’t burst my bubble
I look up at the stars but don’t see so far
It’s all I’ve ever known
Can you spare me all of the ceremony
Let’s not pretend because I don’t even know me
I’ve been dead on my feet
But I’m ready
I’m ready
I’m ready
This is déjà vu
But I’m a Demi God
I must’ve forgot I’m a Demi God
I always feel so blue
But I’m a Demi God
I must’ve forgot I’m a Demi God

Epitaph Records is an artist-first indie label founded in Los Angeles by Bad Religion guitarist, Brett Gurewitz. Early releases from a variety of punk heavyweights helped launch the 90s punk explosion. Along the way, Epitaph has grown and evolved creatively while sticking to its mission of helping real artists make great recordings on their own terms.

Unique, weird, special, deep, tragic, melancholic, inspiring, sad, hopeful, hopeless, full of energy and despair, love it
Don't get me wrong, it's a great song. But it's not unique at all, it's like one of the most generic songs on the album
you forget the horror part
@@lolicek4863 Completely disagree, i've never hears such a song and rythm & chord progression, literally my gem in this album, I love it
@@cime62 good for you. I just said my opinion, but of course, you have right to have your own.
@@cime62 also, i agree that that bridge part is really great
You ever realize that your life is going nowhere, despite the struggle to make it through each day? I feel like this song is about that feeling mixed with the fact that we, as humans, should feel so much purpose simply because we're sentient and can do so many amazing things. We have the power to make our lives amazing and yet life feels so mundane and empty, but we're practically demigods and should feel amazing because of that.
nah im content with my self.
You really expressed what I feel with this song. You hit it rightly.
This song touches my soul.
The new album is mind blowing. Not as heavy but they added new variation and depth to their songs it feels like
Best song in the album for me. How can you not vibe to this man!.
what a frickin chord progression 👌
amogus
@@callumgriss5422 real
It's insane how good this song is. It's so creative and unique. People saying this album is bland baffle me. I feel like most of those people have no idea about music and can't see nuance - without complicated riffs uniqueness just flies over their head.
Normally I don't like slow stuff or when bands change only if they change and sound good, many bands I love are top tiers for this and Architects can sit nicely along with them. The ending piano part to this song is alot like Hurricane by 30 Seconds To Mars as well.
what the hell is this song? sounds sooo weird, but i somehow like it
OMG YOU LIKE SOMETHING THATS SOOOOOOOO WEIRD? 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 YOU SOUND SO COOL AND QUIRKY
The new entire album blows my mind, it's so fucking amazing.
This whole album is kicking some serious ass. There will be heavy purists that hate it. But I love it. Just a few more tracks to go but so far this is looking like top 5 album of the year
Why does it matter if someone hates it? Only thing that matters you enjoy it. Fuck others
Guess I'm apparently a purist now 🤷🏾♀
@@jasonlovesmusicreacting882 same. This album sounds like butrock
@@kartzzy6101 Congratulations, you don't need what buttrock sounds like.
@@Ninjamanhammer 😆
I can't get enough of that bridge "this is de ja vu"
Architects: Writing Billboard top 10 stuff.
Also Architects: "A glass half empty is more than i ever have."
Buddy that IS billboard top 10 stuff
this chord progression is on a whole different level and I love it
the emotion and vibe I'm getting from this song is that it's about a person who had a good life, but their life's been spiralling downwards, and they're remembering the good times they had while at the same time feeling powerless to change how their life is now
Replace " a person " by " Mankind" and you will get a closer sense of the meaning of the song.
The all album is about climate change and coming doom.
We are Demi god falling fast asleep, standing still in the stampede.
We know whats coming but are not doing anything about it.
Best song on the album, and I still can’t understand why and how
Maybe your stoned 🤔
@@IntegrityWin I think I’m not
Dude I feel it
It is, it’s such a weird song but it’s so great.
This song is great, but I have an oddly strong connection to the last song on this album.
The whole vibe of this song reminds me a lot of the band Red, primarily the chord progression and the orchestral parts.
Yeah...but so much better.
Holy shit when you said that..the song kicked in. I totally get what you mean!
The part with "This.. is.. deja vu.." sounds a lot like 'Between the buried and me' to me and I love it, this song is probably my favorite of the album after Little Wonder.
now that u said so....i started to see the similarities now
me too! thought I was the only one who noticed
Loving the violins
I've been listening to this album since the moment it came out, and it's already one of my favorite albums ever.
Absolutely incredible
The piano melody gives me Saw soundtrack vibes, especially the last few seconds. Great song!
Haha I can't unhear that now!
This doesn’t have to be your jam to be absolutely floored and marvelled at the song writing and musicianship.
I should never have expected anything less from Architects.
Absolutely stunning.
But the songwriting is pretty bland and unoriginal....
this should be a horror movie soundtrack. I can feel that creepiness from the piano part haunted me. would be interesting if Architects makes another horror song tho
I love this one. One of my favourite tracks on the album. To me, it is talking about the pain of existence and if we could reconnect with limitless consciousness then it would evaporate. We forget our oneness and continue to exist in pain, despite our efforts to 'fix' ourselves or pursue happiness.
This is so good. This whole album is awesome. well worth the wait
Getting some Radiohead vibes from the melodies and orchestral instrumentation in this one. Love it
The best song from the album for sure!
How could this song not be the main thing in this album?
This song got a mysterious vibe, I LOVE it
listening to this song, I have remembered RED. The same energy and mood. For me RED and your band are legendary!
This album is as creative as Daybreaker♥ LOVE it.
don't compare them. half of this album sounds like bmth
Daybreaker is a masterpiece
I honestly have no idea how anyone could ever even think about comparing this and Daybreaker
@@Thunderboy261 it's release day there will be A LOT of dumb ass things said. That's just the way people are.
@@vw3ird940 Post Human was amazing though, not this lmao.
I agree man, this fkn album is Dan's Daybreaker & it's crazy good, lyrics are great, features are fantastic. It's a very respectful album with a lot of emotion. This song had me two steppin to the end of the song 😂😂😂😂 fkn sick, hope people come around to this album 🙌
I love the drumming on this album
absolutely stunning, i love it.
Yes, they changed. We all did and we'll all keep doing it, but you can change and still be yourself. I think this song is the best representation of what that truly means. It's easily one of my favs from the album, really awesome.
Most under rated song on the album
Nothing short of a masterpiece...I stopped everything I was doing at the moment and turned into a deer in the headlights looking state when I first heard this tune. This song is beyond moving.
I'm feeling some A Word Alive. I can't help it
Queen of the damned. The background drop of this one reminds me purely of the movie queen of the damned. And it's bloody genius.
a perfect circle feeling
masterpiece just like the entire album. reaaly like the direction they are taking.
Epic my guys. Epic
Can’t stop listening to it
Sick
Sounds like an a end credit song to a movie. I love it.
This would go perfect with the best parts of the show *American Gods*
🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🔥🔥🔥 bangerr
Has Red vibes! Also reminds me of Diving Bells by Starset for some reason. This song's growing on me c:
3:52 I finally found the song this piano part reminded me of! Hurricane by 30 Seconds to Mars! oQo
1000% could be a Red song!
I love it
this is amazing song, its hard to describe all, but that melody.... like whoever came up is really talented
Love this one. The weirdness is interesting. One of my favs now tbh
This is class
This song is super overlooked & underrated
Head Banging.... !!!!
This song remember me just a little to the intro of the serie The 100. I like this song
Wow man such a great tune ! Happy Friday!
This is my favorite song
Wicked cool
This might be my favorite track off the album😮
The strings and piano sections could easily be on the queen of the damned soundtrack,
This album is gonna be legit in 2021
Mi favorita del album ❤🐰
Best song on the album
❤️❤️🔥🔥
beutiful music rock
THIS IS DEJA VU
I love the oriental vibes in that one
That piano at 2:33 sounds like it came straight from Nine Inch Nails' Ghost I-IV album, and I'm all about it. I love weird little progressions like that.
Creí que iba a ser un album equivalente a amo de bmth pero de architects pero esto es muy bueno. Se incluyen buenos elementos del pop y no se siente como un album sin alma
Pero amo también es un buen disco
BRING ME THE HORIZON and ARCHITECTS the best band , Epic 🔥🔥🔥
3:57 lowkey reminds me of Pyramid Song
This song is... interesting. You think you can know how it's gonna go, but then it turns in completely different way.! Never hits me the same!
This one really has an identity, nice one ^^ The structure is still really "expected" tho and simple, I'd love to see more "unexpected" :) But this song is a 9.5/10 to me
🖤
Coolest song on the record
Those drums from 3:00 - so good.
Strange & Wonderous
💙💙💙💙💙💙
Interestelar vibes
Good
Bond song
This song giving me huge Red vibes
listening to this song at 3am...i cri everytim
❤
We forgot this
Iam loving this album❤🖤.....although there is a small part of me who wants to know who coughed and who laughed at the start of this🤔😁..yeah I know iam weird, but curiosity killed the cat...and satisfaction bought it back😘😂❤
Very solid album, for me probably 5 incredible tracks while the rest are still pretty good. Note I am not a fan of ‘screaming’, but that is what Architects deliver and I knew that going in😀🤘.
Queen of the damned soundtrack vibez
I remember " emotion sickness ", of Silverchair with this song.
FromSoft game players be like:
"This. Is. Deja Vu.
But I’m a demigod
I must’ve forgot I’m a demigod"
I like the new album. Shoot me.
the way it started remind me of Chevelles song Still Running
I fucking love this song 🤘🏼🖤
Architects sounding like Porcupine Tree/Radiohead in that outro. Love it.
Time to unfunny reference but demi fiend from SMT 3 nocturne likes this song (end me pls)
But overall entire albums is great so far
smt
@@SethPai666 can't wait to buy it on switch featuring dante from devil may cry series
@@Yuki85 yes, im waiting the remake and smt 5 , these are my fav licence! hopefully the ost will be cool af!
WHY DOES THIS HAVE 2K LIKES ONLY C'MON. >:(
doppee
this song is perfect, and for those who don't like the album because it's too "soft" just don't listen to it, we dont need your bad opinion
demo god to demi-god
demidevimon
This song actually fits Nico Di Angelo or Percy Jackson really well
I heard this before. There is Something about it that I feel I already heard before. Is it 'In This World (Murder)' by Good Charlotte?
Is just me, or the final part is a perfect Nier Automata's soundtrack?
In general, perfect for all Hack and slash games
shit, yes!
