I had no idea about the chemicals in coffee. I don't drink coffee out only at home bit I certainly will make a change to organic. I would love to try some of this couples coffee. Great video Lacy and Mike thank you!
I went to the website you shared and it is showing different prices but not the size. Can I order through you? I want the credit to go to you and your family.
My family and I have been watching Fit Farmer for years now and when you said Missouri my 4 year old got excited. I'm going to tell my local shop here about 2 hours north of you guys to order some. (Local + organic = great combo)
There’s no way I would do Starbucks coffee I buy what is reasonable at the store, I do like a medium to dark roast. Nice video ,the kids were so cute and well behaved. I am going to try the moose run coffee! I have to agree with them your channel is great if you are wanting to learn about farming and homesteading. I am all for supporting small family businesses and did not realize how you are getting chemicals in the store coffee.
Hi Mike and Lacy! This story is so touching it's so wonderful to see people following their dreams. You all were a part of our decision to get away from the city to homestead. Love the video. Thanks for inspiring us to examine what we consume! It truly gives more thought to the foods that cause inflammation and why. Love and blessings!
Wow, this really open my eyes on how coffee is produced. I did not know that coffee was sprayed so much. I definitely will start looking for organic coffee roasters in my area. Thank you.
I love y'all and I love coffee!!! Me & my husband drink 2 to 3 cups a day! We are in NC and watch every video! We are gonna be selling our house soon so we can homestead 100%. We live in cabarrus county and we do garden now but want to get animals when we find the land to move to! Thanks for all of your knowledge!!!
I am from New Orleans and 4am you can smell them roasting the bean. Community coffee talk about memories of home. I drink Community chicory. Coffee milk was given to me as a child of 5 sitting on a gumbo pot sipping with my ma mere. Coffee is a tradition in my home.
I can make Star Bucks coffee for pennies. Make a campfire put an old fashion coffee pot on the fire and throw some coffee in and leave it for a few hours. Perfect! It's also called John Wayne coffee!
I would love to try that coffee. I remember when I first started drinking coffee. I tried so many different kinds before I found a couple I liked. I use to train in the gym with a private coach for about 4 years. She had recommended me try coffee since I had a strict diet for about 2 years. I ended up loosing 10 dress sizes and 50 lbs. since I’ve recently moved To the country I’ve had trouble maintaining my physic. No gym around and not much room for exercise equipment. Still sleeping on air mattresses and repairing manufactured home. We downsized over 1,000 sq ft. 😮Drastic change. Have a happy new year 🎆 Mike and Lacy.
Mike and Lacy what a great video, and yes I love Coffee, right now I'm on Vanilla Creme Brulee, I've never tried organic coffee before, I'm sure it's very good, I'm watching y'all from West Tennessee, y'all take care
I like cold brew only and only with LOTS of Cream, maple syrup and caramel ice cream syrup or chocolate ice cream syrup or both!!!! A lot more Cream than Lacie used.
I have heard of Moose run coffee but have never tried it. What a wonderful video today! Y'all just made me go and brew a cup of coffee for myself on this cold day here in Missouri. ❤ Now all I need is a cow to get fresh cream too.😁 Thank you for sharing your amazing experiences and tours with us; how fun!❤
I love to support small businesses! I will check this out and order some coffee from them! I don't drink Starbuck's and try to only suupport American businesses! Thank you for telling us about these folks! Ok! Order placed & supporting a fellow Missourian!
This is incredible! I'm absolutely in love with coffee 😂. And have to have organic due to health issues. I'm so excited to hear that they are in Missouri! Thank you for posting this.
Agreed!! I never do StarYucks I use Honduras coffee, 1/2 cup (5 coffee scoops) to 1/2 gal canning jar, add filtered well water, 2 days in frig and Low in acid! Smooth !! Thank y'all !!
I'm really happy to see that you r promoting local people's product ❤...it is what a country needs. We people most often fall into a illusions of corporate products n we forget our local people's hard work and their products....people should give more importance to local people's products. Where I was born n bought up all where hyper markets n corporate products... But now I'm a grown one so I'm making healthy choices by choosing farmers markets n their local produce this way I'm helping my people n myself....always choose our people's local produce 👌👍❤
Earned to drink coffee working early morning factory work. Since then learned I am not a factory worker, got an office job and continued drinking coffe and that is the rest of the story.😊😊😊😊
Good video showing what it takes to grow sustainable coffee. And to show support for small business. Coffee is a wonderful business. We buy only Kona coffee directly from the farms. You can go to the Kona coffee belt on the West side of the island. And buy AMERICAN grown coffee. There are exclusively organic farms as well. We don't have any major "vices" . And we are at a point in our lives where we don't have to justify our financial purchases. And to those who want to judge others for buying something that you think they shouldn't. Please moderate your own purchases.
Coffee, yes! I drink organic bean coffee. I no longer have acid reflux since.😊 i recently started making coffee in a french press.😊❤ I add Cayenne pepper tincture, honey or maple syrup, and real cream. It's the best!!!
I'm so glad to learn this. My family is a huge coffee coneseur. I had no idea that mainstream coffee could cause health issues. Im switching. Thank you!
I am a person who says to the people who say, "America runs on Dunkin", This lady runs on organic medium roast home-ground, fresh brewed coffee! In some ways, I am a "coffee snob" but only because I cannot drink the conventionally grown coffee. One cup of it (conventionally-grown coffee) is okay every once in a blue moon, but I usually suffer terribly the next day with flu-like symptoms, so the struggle is real! I actually am growing an Aribica coffee plant right now, but it is tiny and indoors most of the time... Even when it's old enough to produce, it likely will not produce much - LOL I am looking forward to trying some Moose Run Coffee! Thanks so much for sharing their link! We are always looking for "something different" either as a treat or to work into our rotation of delicious organic coffees.
Mike abd LKacy, love how u train your children in the ways of God, how yo work outside in the garden eary in life, your personalities spell Patience through and through. Love your traveling with all the family.Rhoda Bowen, Conyers, ga
Thank you for posting this video! I have a personal story of my last cup of Starbucks coffee 11 years ago (I’ll share at the end.) We as well enjoy a clean cup of coffee and clean ingredients and let’s face it in America clean eating can be a challenge, but it can be done with due diligence to having a Homestead, buying from farmers, buying organic & buying clean ingredients (as much as you can) from the grocery stores. The last time I had a cup of Starbucks was 11 years ago and goes like this. I was working at a telecommunications company and decided to run next door to Starbucks for a cup of coffee. I really hadn’t drank a lot of Starbucks before this but this was the straw. I walk up to the counter and ordered my coffee. After a minute the guy behind the counter hands me my coffee and I start to walk out slurping a sip. My reaction was….”this is ham?” I took another sip to verify what I was drinking. Yup….for sure it tasted like burnt ham…..not even joking (lol.) So I walked back in handed the cup to the guy behind the counter and told him this coffee for some reason tastes like burnt ham. His eyes squinted in surprise and as he’s smelling it he asks me if I’d like a new one. I simply replied “No Thankyou” walked out and never went back into a Starbucks. 😄
Thank you guys...IV lost so much interest in certain you tubers I follow as the raw reality of what they started out to do has been lost in their desire to become film stars (so sad)...so guys thanks for keeping it real and down to earth (no pun intended)...
I'm not a fan of Starbucks either. I had a sweet subscriber send me a gift card for Moose Run coffee a few months ago. I have enjoyed it, and just ordered some of their new Rustic Cabin :D
All the family work hard, but it certainly will be worth it. I have very weak coffee and my husband really likes his coffee. Lacie is looking fantastic
What a great video Mike. I had no idea about all the chemicals but now I do. Super good info. I bet business will pick up for Moose and family. Lacey, I had coffee from Starbucks 1 time and was sick for 24 hours. Never again.
I would like to thank you for teaching me some thing I didnt know through this show, I have got to a good old age but still love to learn, I wish you and family a happy new year. from the UK.
My parents were tea drinkers, and the only coffee I had as a kid/teen was folgers yucky junk. In college I started working at an awesom coffee house (not a chain one). Every morning I got there at 6 am and I had to grind the wonderful whole bean coffee enough to fill 12 big filters. It smelled wonderful and I soon learned the way of the coffee. The owner bought his beans from White House Coffee Company in NYC. These were high quality coffee beans. Chocolate Almond coffee with real chocolate and real slivered almonds in it. I used to eat those beans. Sadly now most coffee is sprayed with flavor and it is mostly ground and dried out. Sadly White House Coffee no longer exists. Like everything nowadays it is lower quality.
Love your travels, homeschooling your children, precious hezekiah, Skylar, her friend Anna, Micah & can't remember oldest sons name but hes a worker bee. The yurk is grat but pray yall will build a brick house there one day & use yurt for canning and a school for your children. Mike I love how u witness to those around u. Keep up the good work. Rhoda Bowen
Big coffee drinker - especially in the morning. I usually buy the Dunkin' Donuts ground coffee at the grocery store. I will not buy Starbucks coffee - don't like it - especially the cost. Interesting to see it being grown, etc. UGH - I can imagine the backaches the pickers get after a day of picking. Kids are growing up too fast - so fun to see them a few years ago and where they are now. I feel the same way with my grandkids.
Omg grew up on coffee. My mother drinks 2 pots to herself a day. I can drink a cup right before going to bed. No problem. My sister takes a sip a gets very jittery. Not good for her. We were given coffee at the age of about 18 months with milk. It has Theophylline like properties and helps with Asthma. Real thing❤
Well dang! So much information!! I'm a BIG coffee drinker and this video was enlighting in so many ways!! I don't think I would be a good picker. I didn't realize Starbucks wasn't Organic!! I will definitely be checking out Moose Run coffee! It's really cold up here on the mountain in Sparta, NC till next time, stay warm🤗.
👍 Agree 💯 percent. I buy organic, fair trade products. I like green coffee beans that I roast & grind prior to making my morning coffee. It's so delicious 😁💖
Love coffee. Drink 2 cups a day every day! Look forward to it every single time. My mom made me milk coffee when I was a toddler, I’m sure that got me addicted ❤️
I drink tea more than coffee. However, if I do drink coffee, I make it at home. This way, it is made to the way I like. What I mean is that it is not too strong or too weak. I have had coffee on occasion from a gas station or restaurant that made my hair stand on end.
We love coffee but because of how it’s ground and what can be ground up in it in manufacture companies, I buy whole beans and grind it myself. I try to buy organic, but now the big question is, “is it really organic!?” Because we don’t know, right? If the government lied about one thing certainly they’ll lie about everything. So, we just make sure we pray over everything we consume, even gum. I think this is one of the reasons God tells us to bless our foods not just to be thankful but to purify and sanctify it before it enters your body. P.S. We do not eat out. You don’t survive cancer by eating McDonald’s. Woohoo praise God from Whom all blessings flow!
😢Same here! I love a dark roast Folgers, Mccafe or Dark roast Maxwell house, mornings wouldn't be the same without a cup of steaming coffee!😊 Definitely can't afford the good stuff!😂
Thank you!!! I have been saying NO to Starbucks for almost 20 years! I’ve been challenging everyone ai know to quit a Starbucks..too few have been listening!
I dont drink coffee... at 61 years old im kind of a freak. However, I really enjoyed this video. Mt sister-in-law has a realtive that has a fancy tea shoppe/company. They oride themselves in selling only the best teas out there. Gotta support those small businesses!
Wow , nothing happens by chance, I'very been looking for someone who roast coffee. I' do love to try Moose run . Looking it up now Thanks for posting great videos, see you on the next!
I switched organic just over a year ago and my gut is much much better. I no longer take acid reflux meds. A little more expensive yet I’m not on meds. Camano island recommended from Melissa Norris however I definitely will give this a try.
I had it one time snd it gave me the worst stomach ache. I don’t drink a lot of coffer and when I do it is decaf. Caffeine makes me jittery. Love your channel. Happy New Year
I like Dunkin but buy mostly walmart brand Donut Shop b/c it’s cheaper. Found a local store that sells green coffee beans you can roast yourself in a popcorn popper. Going to try it maybe but it’s ethiopian i think, not columbian which is best and not bitter to me. I could give it up i think. Too much acid. Kinda like picking blueberries. Great educational trip!

I like coffee but not enough to pay what Starbucks charges.
Thank you for posting this video! I have a personal story of my last cup of Starbucks coffee 11 years ago (I’ll share at the end.)

Watching this made me desire a hot cup of coffee! So I went and ground up some organic beans and treated myself to an afternoon coffee! :)

Adding real cream like you did to it makes all the difference in the flavor, love it
I am a tea drinker, so was my mother she was from New York state, two of my three children drink coffee.

Why would you drive miles away to pay 10 times as much for coffee you can make at home?
Because that’s what they want to do?
It’s an adventure, and they’re educating themselves.
That is so true.
Good luck to all in the coffee drawing!
Thank you for this video and sharing about a fine business to support!
WOW! Now I know why every time I used to drink coffee it would make me sick and I love coffee. Thanks for the information.
It's said that an apple will give you more energy than a cup of coffee, but I've never been a coffee drinker to compare.
Bam just ordered my Ethiopian Coffee from Moose Run Coffee!!! Great Info 🖤
Yes THANK YOU
We live in Missouri, where mostly grape growers reside in farms and Homestead near us don't see any coffee growers around us, or in Southern Missouri

Wow , nothing happens by chance, I'very been looking for someone who roast coffee. I' do love to try Moose run . Looking it up now Thanks for posting great videos, see you on the next!

Yes in the morning I have 2 to 3 cups of coffee..I never get Starbucks 😊
I LOVE coffee and tea.
I have never spent the first dime on Starbucks coffee or any other high tech coffee, I only drink hot, strong, and black coffee.
I think you'll love our Grindstone Blend :)
I switched organic just over a year ago and my gut is much much better. I no longer take acid reflux meds. A little more expensive yet I’m not on meds. Camano island recommended from Melissa Norris however I definitely will give this a try.
Enjoyed the video . I LOVE coffee
I had it one time snd it gave me the worst stomach ache. I don’t drink a lot of coffer and when I do it is decaf. Caffeine makes me jittery. Love your channel. Happy New Year
This was a wonderful video. Ty
Really great information about the process is reg coffee and organic
I’m Cuban/Puerto Rican so we drink coffee all day. I drink Cuban coffee in different ways.
Love my coffee. Strong and black.
I prefer to make my own coffee at home. That way I am in control of what does (and doesn't) go into it.
I've never tried or bought Starbucks because they pay the farmers crap
