Wow that was one of the best videos I have watched for a little while. That tent is just amazing & compliments the Yurt as well- I loved Salahs skirt It was absolutely gorgeous. Cheers Denise- Australia 🥰
I love seeing our community pulling together for so many people that have been affected by that hurricane. God has really shown his love through all the people pouring their hearts into recovery. I was just talking to my neighbor about how our area is so different now. Due to all the trees missing from the hurricane you sure can hear the buzz of man made noise. I miss my loud country sounds. I'm so proud of y'all for using your platform as a resource to help even more people. My church has been building tiny homes and my pastor and a couple Deacons have been back and forth from NC delivering these tiny homes to families. Our pastor shares stories and letters from residents affected by the hurricane. My pastor has also been in charge of reaching out to people to see what their needs are. The burden of so many horrific stories shows on his face. NC needs strong ppl to help move the millions of metric tons of debris so they can start rebuilding. And there is still so much need for housing. Mental help should be a priority soon to help with the emotional toll that is so prevalent. Let's continue to pray for all that have been affected, for all that are lost and feel alone, for all that are helping, and for all that want to help but are being held back. Peace and Love Neighbors 💞
Love watching y'all ❤ This tent looks great and reminds me of my childhood when we camped in a canvas tent. Very durable! Glad y'all got more space for your family.(temporary) ❤🙏
How awesome! What a beautiful 4 season teepee/bell tent equipped with electrical inserts, and heater stove capabilities. Wonderful that Stout is helping people who lost their homes in the hurricane. It will be fun to furnish the interior. Thanks for sharing your new homestead addition.
That’s a brilliant tent and to know that the makers are supplying some of the residents who have been left with nothing, a tent to live in whilst they rebuild their lives… ❤
Thank you Mike and Lacie! Pippin and I have been helping with the supplies, recovery, rebuilding and cooking for people that have lost their homes, loved ones, animals, cars, etc. Seeing as we live in my van, we are able to help wherever we are needed. We are based in Canton right now, but if anyone needs help on a homestead, we are available. This was a great way to get people to realize that something like an all season tent can help the hurricane victims as well!
Heavenly Father, I pray that you are helping people see and show your love. I am accustom to tornadoes, here in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, but this is worse than anything I have seen in my life. I ask that you help these wonderful people to see your Grace. You will recover and rebuild. My prayers are with y'all. God Bless!
I have not seen you in a while. I am subscribed, too. THANK GOD, I AM BACK. I MISS WATCHING YOUR VLOGS. GLORY BE TO GOD HALLELUJAH SE MICHIGAN 🙏 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🇺🇸🙏🇮🇱🏡🀄😎🙏❤️🙌🙏
You all walk with Christ, and that brings me joy. Thank you. God bless you all and many prayers 📿 Nurse Judi in Scottsdale AZ and Eucharistic Minister ❤
I love the new tent! I was thinking of maybe putting up a yurt at my mom’s house (where I grew up) and this new tent would be a much better option!!! I love it! I think we would have to build a deck platform and then put the tent up on the deck! I love that the tent company is helping the victims in NC. Great video!
💚 Awesome addition to your homestead, thanks for sharing the setup and unfo with us! Good thing your camping tent did not sustain much damage in the hurricane. 💚
I'd do it. I lived in a milk house in a barn for a year with no plumbing. This looks brighter. More inviting. I've considered it many times. I hope people will think outside the box and help themselves to this great resource.
I DO so luv your posts!! Been watching y'all for a few years now, and keep coming back for more good stuff. . . May you continue to grow, and prosper, in your adventures . . . and keep on, keepin' on with your efforts with a more natural, self-sustaining life style! Thanx so much! :>)
If this tent is staying up all year long, I highly suggest that you put in t-posts into the tie down ropes as those strong straight-line and hurricane winds will pull out the stakes. I've had a canvas garage up for two years now with t-posts and rubber bungy type ties wrapped around the posts. Hopefully you have something strong to tie to the t-posts. Also, long term, I've seen people build this type of tent on a wood platform. Definitely a glamping tent.
This is a very good idea in a situation where North Carolina you have a tent you get a stove for it and you have yourself an outhouse. I have a portable outhouse. You know the kind that you see in the everywhere but I have one on my property, you just have to pay monthly bill, or go the old-fashioned way and just fill up the bucket
Nice tent. Yeah, so much devastation. One of my daughters down in Augusta, GA sent me videos and pics of some of it there. She had no power for about a week. The closed off I-40 at the exit near where I live. My power was only out for 3 days, but I had my solar panels and a handful of solar generators to keep my (and my neighbor's) fridges going. I would live in a tent like that.
That tent is super cool. I bet if you wanted you could put it on a platform like the farm you went to did , and you could over time put more up if you chose to 😁
I appreciate you guys sharing this video with us. I follow a few homesteaders like you to give myself knowledge of things that I might need if I get a chance to live away from the city, blessings to you and your family.🙏♥️
In Australia in the mis 1950’s new immigrants built garages called bungalows whilst building their homes my parents and sister lived in the bungalow for 8 years building the home as they could afford it, loans for new Australian”s was basically non existent unless you had a good job and Australian my aunt did the same thing with her family. My father’s parents had 13 kids😊 Small housing in old shipping containers converted to a home for one or two people and can be moved if need be.
I live in South Georgia and that hurricane tore up my town me and my husband were praying it was aweful I cried it broke my heart to see all the damage 200 years trees in the middle of the house But God was good to me I only had alittle bit of damage prayers for North Carolina I wish I was able to help much love to you y’all Mike and Lacey ❤❤❤❤
❤️❤️❤️ Love that tent. Nice and roomy. I would stay in one while preparing my property for a house. My family on the other hand would think I was crazy. Great video 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
@StoutTent great to know now, all I have to do is be able to come up with the enough money. But I do have a youtube channel, and it could do a great review.
That will be such a great extra space! Once we move to TN we have considered setting up our Kodiak canvas tent as extra space or for people who want the camp experience without having all the camp stuff.
Hi Mike and Lacy! I'd keep an eye on the chickens with that hawk in the neighborhood 😳. What a great tent! My husband and I went to a native American festival in our town and we were told the frames of the teepees/lodges were strong enough to withstand hurricane force winds. I hope life is getting at least halfway to normal over there. Y'all take care❤.
Lacey i totally understand what you are saying about needing room. But, I swear the anxiety i feel while you two are putting up this 2nd tent is killing me! I have been waiting to see your second yurt go up.... I know its my problem. And not yours.. I cant imagine the anxiety you must be going through whie waiting and being patient... ❤you guys and your channel!
When I was assigned to a Sergeant Missile Battalion in Italy in 1968, I had a Hex Tent to sleep in with a heater that burned diesel fuel. It often snowed and was very cold and that tent was great.
Excellent video, thank you. I hope the folks in WNC are able to access these. I hope to have something like this one day, helps me feel my homesteading dream is slightly less impossible.
I love the tent other than the rope everywhere I wonder if you could put something similar to what you cover pipes in the winter. That way no one get hurt on the rope. Can't wait to see how you decorate it!
I have a question for you all. Not sure if you’ll see my comment between all the ones you have. I went on the website to look at all the Stout tents. Which tent did you guys purchase, because there’s a handful of them to pick from. Maybe you could share that with us ❤
Yet - not in cold temps, and snow will be a problem, weight on the canvas. Friends of mine in WNC had one up in White Rock, collapsed during snow and even though they had a wood stove in there, they were cold and had to make other accommodations (little people involved)
That's pretty AWESOME! ❤😊🎉
Wow that was one of the best videos I have watched for a little while. That tent is just amazing & compliments the Yurt as well- I loved Salahs skirt It was absolutely gorgeous. Cheers Denise- Australia 🥰
Hi... Mike Dickson and Lacey nice to see you Love watching your video homestead 🏡🐔🐓🐣🐤🦃🦮🐈⬛🐐🐄🐝🎥👋 bye 👋 bye 👋 bye 👋👍👍👍

We are so happy we got to work with some wonderful organizations providing shelter for those displaced by the recent hurricanes!
@@StoutTentGod bless you and yours
Love that you are thinking about the hurricane victims a 4 season tent is a great idea for people who have been displaced
the people of NC need the tiny home builders of America to all chip in tiny homes for everyone who needs one:)

I love the tent and how its cotton and mold resist , also a place in roof of the tent for a small wood stove pipe very nice, thanks for sharing.
Thank you for keeping us abreast of what is happening in N. Carolina. Very little news .

I would love to come and help you on the farm someday! Y’all rock!
Love the hawk sound ❤️
A great video. Thank you.❤
@martijnDoolaard had one in the Italian mountains up all year made it through two winters, he had a wood stove and even cooked in his.
Love this ❤️
@6:31 - those fungi looks like Reishi or Lingzhi - Asians Chinese use them for tinctures/TCM.
I love your videos and enjoy seeing your tent!
I love the tent other than the rope everywhere I wonder if you could put something similar to what you cover pipes in the winter. That way no one get hurt on the rope.

Looks like the harry potter tents. hehe
Enjoy your videos. As the saying goes if we knew then what we know now we’d have done things different😂.

NICE IDEAL
I love the tent , thanks for sharing .
Me encanta quiero uno donde lo compro
It got part of west Virginia too

The mushroom reminds me of a reishi mushroom, but I can't be sure. Reishi can be made into a medicinal tea, but it's quite bitter.
I had those types of mushrooms growing in my yard. Would love to know what it is also
