I like this because in the very early 80s I say Dire Straits in concert and they had this "young and upcoming Canadian artist" with them as a guest play a couple of songs... you guessed it, Bryan Adams.
😂Didn't we make Canada apologize for Brian Adams?! JUST KIDDING! It's from a meme.... Lazlo Buring, you're an awesome Time Vampire! I play one song, look up and an hour (and 12 songs have gone by)...😊
This is fucking excellent. The finger picking, the phrasings, timing, the staccato, the bends, intonation, its all pitch perfect! So clean too. Absolute master piece my friend! Mark Knopfler would smile :)
Can't write better comments than the ones done already, but if you're new to this channel this isn't a fluke - all the content is really this good. Congrats on finding it haha.
I thought Heavy Fuel was the predominant influence, but now you mentioned Six Blade Knife, I can totally hear that too, mainly in the timing of the phrasing. Good observation.
Saw him in concert once (3x for MK) It was surprisingly fun. This is a fantastic cover of a teenage favorite. Listening to this on the beach on the south tip of the north island of New Zealand.
Absolute perfection!! And I’ve always loved the Bryan Adams original but I agree with the comment above that I like this version even better-Laszlo, you are a true musical genius!! 🎼🎤🎸🥁🎸🎹🎸
Was never a fan of Bryan Adams, or this song. Mark Knopfler on the other hand, writes exquisitely, and his style is perhaps the only way to redeem this song. Well done, I'm pleasantly surprised.
I like it! It is definitely good, but I think I have to give Bryan the edge (could be I’m Canadian and grew up with listening to Summer of ‘69). Of course, what if Bryan and Mark did a duet with some harmony? Could you pull off that mix Laszlo? 😁
I really love your music and videos, but I have a favor to ask ... could you also include in your videos a picture-in-picture of you also playing the rhythm guitar on the same song? I really appreciate your talent and can't get enough.
this is you on your best, love it man, great stuff! one tiny tip: try and see if you can learn to grab / add your voice as a bit chorus as if you are in some parts the other band members adding vocal background, it's all that is missing imho. right now, it's more a case of - fantastic as it may be - Mark Knopler playing and singing Run To You, in the style by the Dire Straits, yet stilll solo with drums. Backup vocals and adding a base would make it legendary. and quite frankly, lift you / your channel up tenfold always been enjoying your vids though, dont see it in any way as criticism, just as a true compliment to your talent! may i add that your solo's have gone from absolutely fabulous to legendary
Knopfler did say he was going for a ZZ Top-ish sort of sound for Money for Nothing (and this cover clearly leans into that mid-80s era Straits sound), so yeah - I can get that.
Great job, you have the 'money' humbucker sound dead to rights! Actually when I saw the title I was expecting a 'sultans' strat style version: that would be quite different but might be a lot of fun too?
Moest echt even denken hoe het origineel ook alweer ging. En dat is niet omdat ik het origineel niet goed ken. Het geeft maar weer goed aan hoezeer jij je een nummer eigen maakt. Ga zo door!
I think I like this better than the original.
You’re not wrong.
Think your right 😊
And for a darn good reason too :) It sounds about 93 percent less cheesy than Bryan Adams.
@@vojtechhoracek7704what’s wrong with Bryan Adams?
@@sinnerboy6009 Nothing wrong as such, it's just that he's the rock equivalent of The Simpsons to Dire Straits' Futurama.
I like this because in the very early 80s I say Dire Straits in concert and they had this "young and upcoming Canadian artist" with them as a guest play a couple of songs... you guessed it, Bryan Adams.
That's very cool. I wasn't aware!
😂Didn't we make Canada apologize for Brian Adams?! JUST KIDDING! It's from a meme.... Lazlo Buring, you're an awesome Time Vampire! I play one song, look up and an hour (and 12 songs have gone by)...😊
Run to you on heavy fuel
Let's please appreciate that guitar tone one more time
This is fucking excellent. The finger picking, the phrasings, timing, the staccato, the bends, intonation, its all pitch perfect! So clean too. Absolute master piece my friend! Mark Knopfler would smile :)
Thank you!
I am sure that both artists would love that version. Great.
What an excellent version. Im sure this would have had success if Dire Straits had actually done this.
This is the most convincing crossover you’ve done so far. 🙌
Very cool version, love the vibe, and the solo is amazing ;)
Thanks!
Can't write better comments than the ones done already, but if you're new to this channel this isn't a fluke - all the content is really this good. Congrats on finding it haha.
Thanks once again my man!
I've been binging for the last two hours!
Congenial adaptation that does both BA and DS/MK justice. Your work is some strange sort of musical wizardry. And your playing is impeccable. ❤
The guy made Run To You sound like it’s a cover from On Every Street!😊
Copies are a form of flattery and rarely better than the original. This however, is an exception…. Excellent!!
Thank you!
I could listen to your Knopfler playing all day long! You nail it every time! Thanks
I hear a lot of Six blade knife in it.
I thought Heavy Fuel was the predominant influence, but now you mentioned Six Blade Knife, I can totally hear that too, mainly in the timing of the phrasing.
Good observation.
This version is a No.1 Hit in my book.
Mark and bryan would be proud!❤ amazing!!
Cool version, as a kid I wondered what "Runtering" was... I'm gonna Runter you. Good times.
Euphemism
I love this cover! The tone and solo are amazing! Well done!
Love these if it were written by songs especially like Dire Straits. More please. Thanks. Great!!!!
Absolutely brilliant. Again 👍🏼
I heard the algorithms like comments, so here's one for you. Although I don't know what to say because I'm speechless atm.
They sure do! Thank you!
That is much more enjoyable than the original.
Saw him in concert once (3x for MK) It was surprisingly fun.
This is a fantastic cover of a teenage favorite.
Listening to this on the beach on the south tip of the north island of New Zealand.
Very nice! Enjoy the rest of your holiday mate!
Beach? Southern tip of the NI? You mean the rocks?
@@DiscoFang it's still the beach! I didn't say sandy beach. A far cry different than the bushes of Northern Alberta I normally see.
Guauuuuu Laszlo 😍👌👍💪🥂👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 Amor desde Gijón (Norte de España) 💜🍀🌹
wow fantastic performance ,,,,,,,,,greetings Renee
I absolutely love it ❤ such a classic song but oh so good 👍🏻 brilliant 👏 👌 👍🏻
Again FUNtastic. THANK for the JOY!
Такое ощущение, что любая более-менее мелодичная музыка будет звучать, как минимум, хорошо в стиле Dire Straits.
Отлично!
Thank you for what you do.
This is just amazing. I've always wondered if there were someone out there with MK's chops. Now I know. Spectacular!
Dude! That is absolutely professional work right there.
SZUPER! GRATULA!
Just amazingly accurate! 💯👍🏼
LOVE IT!!!
Fantastic! Every one of your videos is a winner, I've found. 🎶👍🏻
Thank you!
A very intresting project !
a great share !
cheers ritchie .
👍👍....You've Got That Knopfler 🧬 Gene....
Absolutely incredible, as always. Thank you for this.
What a cool version! Do you play all guitars? And the other instruments?
Great cover again. This sound reminds me of the band Los Colognes.
Absolute perfection!! And I’ve always loved the Bryan Adams original but I agree with the comment above that I like this version even better-Laszlo, you are a true musical genius!! 🎼🎤🎸🥁🎸🎹🎸
Superb. And played on an Epi rather than a Gibson. Cool.
But, but, but, surely it is Mark Knopler!!! 😜 😁
It's amazing 👍👍👍
Mark Knopfler ❤️
Dire Straits ❤️
Bryan Adams ❤️
Was never a fan of Bryan Adams, or this song. Mark Knopfler on the other hand, writes exquisitely, and his style is perhaps the only way to redeem this song. Well done, I'm pleasantly surprised.
Dear Laszlo, this is so beautiful :) Kudos and thanks!
That was awesome. I can't get enough of this channel.
Always tasteful, always credible
This is one they shoulda written

How about Pink Floyd's "Another Brick In The Wall" (all three parts)?
Letter F. I love it
Ah, I spot a Lagavulin
Well spotted!
Just WOW!!! 🎸🎶🎵
Great cover of a great tune
Very nice, great guitar sounds!
Love this a lot, such a good mashup 🔥👏
Great solo, my favorite
Cool version 😊 Have the original musicians ever given feedback from one of your Dire Straits Style versions? 🙂
Not yet!
eres realmente muy bueno y original !!🤣
Wow!
I really love your music and videos, but I have a favor to ask ... could you also include in your videos a picture-in-picture of you also playing the rhythm guitar on the same song? I really appreciate your talent and can't get enough.
I've done that a few times, or atleast cut away to rhythm guitar. Could do a picture-in-picture sometime. Thanks for the suggestion!
Very Nice mate...🎸😎👍
Epic version !
wow!
Thanks!
Thank you very much!
👍brilliant

If you’re not a Dire Straits fan… this will make you one!
Could you please do "Sultans of Swing" if it were written by Dire Straits ?
:D
Hahah, I did!
I absolutely LOVE it!
Brilliant!
Got a zz top feel. You should do some of their songs
I did sharp dressed man! It's also on my channel 😁

Just 😲😲wow
Masterpiece, again.
awesome - love it.
Was wondering how you got both a fat tone with an amount of crispness. Both pickups, of course!
Excellent as always!👍
Hahah thanks. Doubling of the guitar also works magic!
Awesome
NONE FINER, AWESOME, WONDERFUL...BUT I WANNA SEE SOME OTHER GUITARS, APART THE LES PAUL LIKE THE RED TELE & RED 62 STRATOCASTER...
Haunting and beautiful :)
Next one maybe Herman Brood Saturday night written By Dire straits ?😜

This is waaay better than the original! Did you make any tabs?
Thank you! Unfortunately, I don't have any tabs
@@LaszloBuring I have made tabs for 2/3 of the song. Would you like me to share it with you when it's finished?
I m laughing my tits off!-amazing!

Wow, weer een topper!!
Bedankt!
👍👍👍
Much better than the original!
JJ Cale vibes....for sure
Summer of 69 next?
Dang, this is better than the original.
I prefer these performances over the Ricardo Montalban ones.
I'm not aware of those 😂
Running for Nothing??
So just cardio then!
Awesome
