In this video, I show my friend AJ, The Honest Biker, How to Clean her Motorcycle, and explain the do’s and don’ts when washing a bike!
As you’ll see AJ demonstrates that you can have fun when cleaning your motorbike!
AJ's bike was left outside over the winter months, and although it had a cover on it, it was looking a little sorry for itself. Instead of me cleaning the entire bike, I was keen to teach her my easy step-by-step approach to washing a motorcycle, and demonstrate to her my techniques, so AJ can learn how to transform the bike herself.

In this video, I'll show you step-by-step, how to Pre-Wash your Motorcycle and remove all the dirt, grime, unwanted oil, and road salts using Autobrite Extreme Bike Cleaner and Magifoam. After Shampooing the Bike, AJ and I then you how easy it is to apply ACF50 and Autobrite Ceramic Spray which will protect the bike throughout the year.

I've just got a V Strom 650 and it's in pristine condition. I didn't look after my Honda Hornet as well as I would have like when I had it, and it started to fall to bits. I want to do everything I can to care for my Strom, so I'm doing a lot of research on cleaning bikes to make sure I know what to do

Thanks so much! I hadn’t planned to shoot another cleaning video so soon after posting the last one, but yeah, it was a perfect opportunity to help a friend and show you guys what the products can do! 😁👍
I used to valet vehicles and it is always best to use a separate dedicated bucket and clean the wheels and chain first..
I first use chain cleaner and clean the chain with chain brush then rinse off with water, I then clean the wheels.. using wheel cleaner.. then rinse off.. the reason you do the dirty parts first is so you don't splash dirty greasy, oily water over clean parts.. because this will be hard to remove with a rinse because of the oil and grease..

Hi Phil , good to see a dirty bike getting a decent clean and acf 50 coating , I have never used the stuff on my own bikes but I need to try it .👍 And you and AJ having a bit of a laugh doing the job as well , good fun . You can start your own motorcycle detailing business soon .😁
Hi! Yeah, it certainly came up well I’m pleased to say. Let me know if you give acf50 a try, they say it keeps working for 12 months but I like to apply twice a year, just before the riding season and at the end before winter, I’ve got a full video or two all about acf50. That is something that has been suggested, that might take the fun out of cleaning bikes for me! 🤷♂️😁 Thanks for watching! 👍

quick question - how does the ceramic coating affect the acf-50 and vice versa (if at all)? - is it known to be good together, great videos and thanks!
Hey! I’m sorry for the late reply, I missed this. I can only speak from personal experience and using both have worked really well together for me and my bike. Thanks for your encouragement and I apologise for not replying earlier.
Good video Phil. I imagine the Extreme Bike Cleaner is safer for the bike than Muc-Off?
Thanks so much. I’m pleased with the Autobrite Bike Cleaner and did actually have problems with the pink stuff but that is unusual as I do like their products.
