Criminally underrated band. I think they really captured lightening in a bottle with When you walk a long distance, its such an important record to me.
Since it isn't already listed in the video, the names of the performers are: Kristine Leschper - Vocals/Guitar Matthew Anderegg - Keys Drew Kirby - Guitar Patrick Morales - Bass
This performance is beautiful and full of raw vulnerability. They sound equally amazing when they have drums and guitars that don't hold back! Go see them live if you can!
Nice performance!... your minimalist songs are beautiful compositions!... the girl's voice conveys feelings from your soul to our souls!... note: my thumbs up is the number #401
Wish they could've showcased a bit more of their crazy dynamics and drums, but still a breathtaking performance nonetheless. Got to see them kill it in SF last week, and they did so once again here!
I didn't listen to the words, I was just complaining about how much I hated the sound. so I rewound to the begining to listen to what she is saying. holy shit I am in tears. this is incredible oh my god.
I wish the drummer had actually played drums instead of keyboard. I guess they either couldn't bring the drums or decided to change it up. This was still a pretty decent performance, though, and I loved seeing them live in Tampa!
Please stop glorifying this band just because they are from Athens. On a scale of 1 to 10, their musical talents get a 4 and vocals get a 1. I have heard better vocals from a sick cat. There are so many other bands that deserve your attention more than this group.
You haven't seen their audiotree session im guessing. Their musical talents definitely exceed a 4 objectively. Copper Mines & No Crying In Baseball exhibit really great song structure and thoughtfully written lyrics. Give another chance.
This performance is the only music that’s felt like it’s actually held my grief
God how i miss Mothers

The bass player has a instructional book on playing bass, it's called "The Patient Bassist".
mothers and daughter should do a concert together. Two Great female fronted bands.
+Juan Pablo Torres Holy shit would be so perfect
+Juan Pablo Torres LOL Daughters, the grindcore band?
+Cory Y haha I meant Daughter but daughters would be a good time too.
+Juan Pablo Torres imagine a concert with daughter, mother, julien baker, and chelsea wolfe........
And Dads
This is so different than their live shows and their recorded work. Not as much dynamic range, but all of the hypnotic qualities and raw emotion.
Kristine Leschper is my absolute idol.
I love the way she sings. Such great band.
This performance is beautiful and full of raw vulnerability. They sound equally amazing when they have drums and guitars that don't hold back! Go see them live if you can!
love npr brings me to great music like this
too small for eyes is tattooed on my soul forever. i cannot hear that song without tears. i want to apologize to everyone i meet forever. i’m sorry.
Beautiful stuff. Her voice is a little Angel Olsen.
Angel Olsen and Trevor Powers from Youth Lagoon.
+Öykü Özer Eh, I disagree.
omg i'm so glad i found them, i absolutely love it
I love this; it's got a sort of quiet dignity and I think it's lovely
Absolutely haunting....
I don't think I could love this more
it's both astounding and heartbreaking this music should go so largely unheard. must be discouraging for such a talented artist
Always absolutely beautiful and haunting... something about their music makes it feel like time just stops
They should've played It hurts until it doesnt
+GameplaysGusGamer That song is so damn good! You can see them play it on their Audio Tree performance on UA-cam!
+AlexSuperTramp That Audiotree set was even better than the actual album amirite
+Cory Y yes you are
agreed. amazing song.
They were playing their quietest songs.
i miss the person who put me on to these cats very much. i know they're out there somewhere, and i really hope they're doing well.
Like a teasing butterfly flitting around you that you just can't seem to catch, on a sunny breezy Sunday afternoon.
Love New Mothers Album, it's Great!
That guitar is gorgeous.

She's cute💕
One word, Awesome!
the front women has the most beautiful voice
Haunting stuff. I enjoyed this a lot.
I like it.

Reminds me of my teenage.
Her hair is so shiny I can't cope
Mint!

Me gustan !!! Suenan Cool !
HAHAHAHA SO FUNNY THAT THE KEYBORDS HAD THE NOTES WROTE ON THEM!!
+Öykü Özer Ask him not me😂
lucfireful Did you learn English yesterday?
He's actually the drummer so yeah playing the keyboard is not his speciality i would assume
ILY
i like more the happier songs.
She looks like Bran Stark
catártico!
Time stamps and chapters please!!!
Mothers is a good band
I also recommend the Mac Miller video of this series. Rest in peace dude. Your missed.
Could someone send me a link to their facebook page? I can't find it lol
These people would die in a fist fight.
How many mic's do you guys usually use? Just wondering. Seems very minimal, nontheless sound great!
Check out our astral projection inspired animation series!
Of Invention?
+Alex Padilla Mothers of Pretention
+Alex Padilla i thought the same thing :D
right because there's no one more pretentious than Frank Zappa, right?
Zachary Newman I disagree.
Zachary Newman oh jeez. can you not?
0:00
does anyone know if they are touring?
+Keba Keba Google is your friend
What keyboard is he using?
Evan Fonseca I think it's an old Casio like the sk1 but I'm not sure
Ugg. I don't know about" the end of history", but the end of music? Maybe.
I find she sounds a lot like Joanna Newsom.
music to enjoy Morphine by. Zzzzz--zzzzz. definitely needs some work kids.
unbearably hip
Is it just me or does every female singer on this channel sound the same with their weird pronunciation of everything they say?
it's just you.
Johnny Arenas It seems to be a thing among singers in general nowadays tbh
automatic dislike
Touch grass
Bob Boilen, what have you smoked before you wrote this review. This is terrible.
+ramzyred in this video they arent using the drums, and the singer is sick/cold. This band is still awesome
Wrong

I give this band a 9 and you a 1 just based off of your review. It seems your last name should have a double s.
