Arduous, is absolutely correct. I am so sick and tired of the whole thing. I hate doing the exercises, they bloody well hurt, like hell.
I just want it all to go away.
Prayers to feeling better
First really honest description of knee replacement post ops recovery I have seen.
I was off my Walker at 3 weeks and off my cane at 5 weeks but my therapist told me I was ahead of the curve.
I've had my surgery in April and let me say by the grace of God i'am starting to power walk so soon!!!and we are in june.with no pain whatsoever.my surgeon is Dr.Savage! But i give my God all the Glory
Hi, you should share your entire transformation story here, I'm glad for you
It sounds like life will be bad, but a friend of mine had both knees shattered in car accident, he went no surgery, physical therapy and he's still having pain. Either way it's tough. I know people who had good experiences and those who haven't. I dreed this day, but if im going be recouping w/o surgery with no end in site, im choosing surgery
It has been a year since my knee replacement surgery and I am still in constant pain and have very little movement. I've had 2 manipulations and I did my exercises faithfully. My surgeon is just as frustrated as I am, do you have any suggestions?
I am 55 years old. Today is Week 4 since I have had total Knee replacement. Question is my knee is still very tender and frequently swells up after physical therapy in which I do about 4 to 5 hours a day. Is this normal. And when should I transfer from my Walker to my cane.

@@shanegilbert9510 4-5 hours a day of physical therapy? Well, how stupid do you have to be? Are you a professional athlete? Why would you do so much? It is a moderate routine of no more than an hour. Rest is what heals.
You're never the same after a total knee replacement they're heavy! 😡
2 weeks out from TKR and still have some pain from the results of the tourniquet they used. I suggest anyone getting a TKR get a Cold Therapy Machine and 2 battery operated compression sleeves for both legs. I also use a heating pad after using the cold therapy machine. Having a recliner that reclines almost level is also needed if you want to get a good nights sleep. A pill box also is something I suggest for the different medications and different times you take the different medications works better than reading the pill bottles every time they need to take them. Keep the Faith and you will survive and be back on track.

Shane if you are doing 4-5 HOURS or physical therapy a day at 4 weeks ...that's too much!!!! This is why you are getting the swelling and extreme tenderness. Is your physical therapist allowing you to do that much??? At 4 weeks. You should be doing 45 mins to an hour twice or three times a week with your physical therapist and the same amount 45 mins at home on non physical therapist days. After any exercise. ICE ICE ICE that knee for at least 30 mins. I am 12 weeks out and doing great...

What to expect after knee surgery is a nightmare!! Don’t do it!!
Yeah the everyday pain not being to walk up and downstairs is a pleasure then having your knee give out at anytime a pleasure then standing a pleasure sitting a pleasure walking a pleasure sleeping a pleasure. But best of all the constant pain was a treat.
