Danii Decay my initial revelation was with the bike incident at the beginning - that's when I realized - 'this is going to be a visual metaphor - and Death on his horse made me think about the Joanne era. From the jump I started to piece elements together - when it really clicked was the 0.5 second "flash from reality", when she gets pulled down to earth. My feeling throughout the video was unnerving - the contrast between the robotic sounds and the earthy visuals... This felt very ARTPOP. When the mural scene occurred, I thought, 'damn, this is a trip!' When the ending happened I was shooook by how cohesive it all was - the same way the transition between C-2 and 911 had me shook, that transition from death to life was equally shocking. Literally. I've been an admirer of LG for 12/13 years, so that's why I 'got it' right away. 🤦♂️
