Brief background about Jack: He originally worked for Beckett and when Beckett wanted him to ferry slaves, he freed them all and turned his back on Beckett, leading to his label as a proper pirate as recognized by the British Empire. Beckett burned the Black Pearl (Then the Wicked Wench) as it technically belonged to the East India Company. Jack and the ship went down and Davy Jones appeared. That's when Jack made the deal that comes due in Dead Man's Chest. Ten years for he and his ship in exchange for 100 years of service on the Dutchman.

They do touch on this again in 'Dead Men Tell No Tales' in a cool way! In fact, it was that ship which sank to the depths and was later raised by Davey Jones and was renamed, 'The Black Pearl'.
Very few villains in cinema could ever capture the tragic journey similar to Darth Vader, but I always thought Davy Jones's journey in one and two came pretty close to it! It's such an understated performance in these films, but Bill Nighy absolutely kills it!
Elizabeth Swan, I dare to say, is one of the most badass, loved and remembered female characters in cinema... Her journey is amazing, from damsel in distress to king of the pirates, she's just that awesome!
It is such a well realized character, just talks on how good the script of these movies is. I don’t care for romance in movies and her relationship with will made me so invested. Keira’s talent is just the cherry on top.
@@di3486 I think that's one of the main reasons people like her so much, she's never just been a women that needs to be rescued, she's clever, a quick thinker, knowledgeable about the things going on and when she needs to, she is more than capable of kicking arse. It's like you said, good writing equals good characters, a pity more films don't do manage it.
Btw, take note of the fact that EVERY man Elizabeth has ever kissed has DIED. Jack died in the last film after their kiss, Sao Feng dies IMMEDIATELY after forcing a kiss on her, and James dies within a minute of kissing her. Will kissed her more often than anyone else, but before the movie was over... Pirates are sailors, and sailors are superstitious. In pirate circles, this is going to give Elizabeth a reputation, lol! 🤣 That should make it very easy for her to stay true to Will.
I think she'll find it easy to stay true to Will on her own and doesn't need help from any superstition 😂 Also, I don't think anybody knows about this pattern. Nobody but Elizabeth knows about Sao Feng and Norrington dying after kissing her, and only she and Will know about Jack dying after kissing her, so the only one anybody else knows about is Will. But I suppose it's true that if people knew about this pattern, they would certainly stay away!
Can I just say, I think I’ve found my favorite movie/tv/game reactors in y’all, there’s just such a chill and relaxing vibe that y’all bring to the table, but you both get so invested into the story and design of everything you watch, which not many people can do naturally in the midst of the reaction. Hope y’all have been doing well, and thank you both for being awesome ❤️
You guys are the absolute best. We’re so lucky we get to talk about these films with such an awesome crowd. Thank you for being part of this journey ❤️
I've actually equated the first three Pirates of the Caribbean movies to the original Star Wars trilogy. And just like that trilogy, the sequel movies that came afterward couldn't hold a candle to the originals.
These movies are a masterclass in character goals, motivations, and conflicts. Every single person has a reason for what they're doing and it make all the chaos make sense.
I really love Davy Jones, definitely my favourite villain of all time. I find him so sympathetic and deep. He was so heartbroken he had to cut his own heart out. Love the detail of Davy Jones realising Becket's brought his heart on board when he sheds a tear
Hans Zimmer’s work on the scores is outstanding! His scores truly carry the entire franchise, especially the final battle music with the human voice for extra dramatics.
He has made some of the best scores in movie history. I saw him live in concert, conducting an orchestra that played some of his songs about four years ago. It was incredible.
I love everything about this movie but I especially love Barbosa, he just radiates with “Captain” energy…Which makes for some funny moments with him and Jack, it also starts the “Anti-Hero” arc for Barbosa, each minute we hate him less and love him much more.
For what it's worth, I never hated Barbossa. Yes, he was the villain in the first movie... But he was just so much fun, it was impossible to dislike him. Geoffrey Rush was just born to play this role. Even though I adore him in almost everything I've seen him in.
In fact, this phenomenon happens all the time, but most people don't have the ideal conditions to see it. For example, there are reports of airplane pilots seeing the green ray regularly.
One last note: in Jack's final scene, you can see that his mom's shrunken head now hangs on _his_ belt. We also finally see Jack's personal colors/Jolly Roger, his pirate flag that would have flown from the mast of the Pearl back when he was captain. Also...he is searching for the fountain of youth, and his map leads him to...Florida. Where he does, in fact, go on living forever, in a Magic Kingdom in the middle of the peninsula. 😉
The song at the beginning, _Hoist the Colors,_ was written for the movie to tell the tale of Calypso, Jones, and the Court. Below is my analysis. *The Chorus:* _Yo ho, haul together_ _Hoist the colors high_ _Heave ho, thieves and beggars_ _Never shall we die_ The chorus is sung numerous times within the song. It's basically telling the pirates, full of thieves and beggers, to get ready to set sail. The lyrics here are obvious in meaning. *First verse:* _The King and his men_ _stole the Queen from her bed_ _and bound her in her bones_ The King was the Pirate King at that time, and while his identity is unknown, I believe him to be Jones himself. The King's men refers to the Brethren Court. The Queen is Calypso, her bed is the sea, and binding her in her bones refers to binding her to her human form. _the seas be ours and by the powers_ _where we will we'll roam_ The seas literally belong to the pirates due to having power over Calypso. *Second verse:* _Now some have died_ _and some are alive_ _and others sail on sea_ This is a reference to the chorus of the song, which mention the pirates as thieves and beggars. This part of the verse is obvious in meaning. _with the keys to the cage_ _and the Devil to pay_ The "keys" to the cage are the nine Pieces of Eight, which were used to bind Calypso. The Devil refers to Davy Jones himself since he's the one that told the Brethren Court how to bind her; he's also a devil of sorts, or what I like to call, an ocean-bound Hades. _we lay to Fiddler's Green._ Fiddler's Green is an after-life of paradise for sailors where a fiddle never stops playing, but in the POTC universe, it is a tavern located in Davy Jones' locker. It might have a fiddle playing inside to fit the narrative. *Third verse:* _The bell has been raised_ _From it's watery grave..._ _Do you hear it's sepulchral tone?_ _A call to all_ _Pay head the squall_ _And turn your sails to home!_ This entire verse may refer to the scene of POTC where the pirates sing their song, and the Brethren Court is summoned to join together. A "all pirates unite" type of moment.
My shoutout to screenwriters - Terry Rossio and Ted Elliott. They together know how to write a good story. They made: Aladdin (1992), The Mask of Zorro & The Legend of Zorro, Godzilla (1998), Small Soldiers, The Road to El Dorado, Shrek, Déjà Vu (2006), National Treasure film series, The Lone Ranger and of course Pirates of the Caribbean film series
While you can't help but love Jack, Barbosa starts to steal the show in the series at this point! He is played phenomenally! He plays the character a lot like the original Treasure Island's Long John Silver. A classic "Ya filthy bilge rats!" type of pirate!
Chow Yun-fat, who played Sao Feng is one of the greatest asian actors of all time. He's legendary action star in Hong Kong and he has a very nice personality and did many good deeds to society. I recommend Hard Boiled (1992) and Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon (2000). He was amazing in these films.
He also stars along with Aaron Kwok and Donnie Yen in 'The Monkey King:Havoc in Heaven's Palace'. Kwok plays The Demon King, Yen plays Son Wukong, and Yun-Fat plays the Jade Emperor. It and it's two sequels that follow Wukong on his Journey to The West, are on UA-cam for free and are great watches! Kwok replaces Yen as Wukong in the sequels, but does a great job taking up the mantle from Yen!
When I see him and Satanda I get stuck like a kid choosing ice cream flavors. Besides some we grew up with- Bruce Lee/Jackie/Donnie/Jet Li; they give you a very dynamic feel on screen, where they can fit into a western screen and then bring the beauty of their own cultures and heritage to life. They were both in the “Last Samurai” fvcking classic!👌🏾
That scene with the crabs and the boat is just my favorite part of this movie start to finish. It's just so strange and makes me feel like I'm in a dream.
That maelstrom battle is one my top 10 favorite climactic final battles in cinema. And also a masterpiece of filmmaking and special effects. Because not everything was CG; they built mock-up decks of both the _Pearl_ and the _Dutchmann_ in this warehouse that were suspended above ground via these air hockey/bumper car rigs of sorts to simulate the waves of the water while surrounded by blue screens.
Incredible what they can achieve with movie magic. You can just tell the passion the filmmakers had when making this. They went the extra mile and it shows!
For a trilogy that was never meant to be a trilogy they did such a fantastic job of tying it all together to feel like one coherent story, that is still stands as such an amazing piece of cinema today is proof of what great a job they did. The Keith Richard cameo was such a treat for fans, Johnny Depp had previously said he based Jack’s mannerisms off Keith so making him Jacks dad was such a brilliant touch!
My favorite subtle side-plot: Will's Sword. In the first movie, Will is presenting a ceremonial sword to Commodore Norrington for his advancement, who then holds onto it until his dismissal between the first and second movie. In the second movie, it can be seen in the background of Cutler Beckett's office. In the third movie, it is returned to Norrington's hand upon reinstatement. Norrington takes a literal stab at Jones with it in his final moment, where Jones then compliments it and gives it to his crew. That crew member drops it on the dutchman during the final maelstrom battle, where it is then picked up by an East Indian Trading Company crewman but is snatched by Jones and used to run through the crewman. Jones then holds onto the sword for the remainder of the battle until he uses it...to kill Will. Yes, the very sword Will arrived carrying at the Swan Household at the start of the franchise, the "very fine sword" he made, is the sword that ended his mortal life.
i like really how orlando bloom become a bit like johnny depp when he talks to beckett and jones with the tea-meet. This whole trilogy is just awesome. "Malfaiteur en Tombeau, Crochir l'Esplanade, Dans l'Fond d'l'eau!"
I remember him most in The Lord of the Rings because I only found out after the third viewing that he was playing Legolas. I recognized all the other actors, but for some reason I didn’t notice him point blank.
I love this channel, y’all feel like my YT besties lmao. I just appreciate how as reactors these 2 don’t play up the camera to make a joke and miss vital plot info, and I’ve said it before, their knowledge of writing and score just enhance the reaction ❤
I rarely care for movie romances. Will and Elizabeth end in this movie, with “One Day” song in the background made my heart break in two😢 this is how you craft characters to make your audience utterly invested! Loving this journey with you guys!🎉
at 48:17 you hear Calypso yell something but it's not in English - it's in French "Malfaiteur en tombeau, crochir l'esplanade, dans l'fond d'l'eau!", French for "Across all the seas, find the path to he who wrongfully entombed me!"
I'm an American that grew up in the Bahamas and I had a father figure who acted just like Capt Jack Sparrow... He always was drinking rum literally all day and night then would go free diver spear fisherman. Best time of my life!
This is my 2nd favorite film of the POTC franchise!! It's dense and complex without talking down to the audience or feeling the need to explain every single little doublecross. AND, it shows just how cunning Jack really is. He manipulates Beckett into revealing the location of the heart, manipulates Will into leading the armada to Shipwreck Cove, he's watching Barbossa closely and his interactions with Tia Dalma, and at the cove he makes a show of identifying his Piece of Eight, which will come into play later. *As the son of the Keeper of the Code* he has _some_ inside knowledge of what actions need a Pirate King, but maybe doesn't know what the King is capable of. So he manipulates the Court to have someone call for the Code to be brought out (though maybe bringing the Keeper out with it was not what he had in mind). Once he is able to see what the King can do (Oh, parlay, huh?), he calls for a vote, already knowing that Elizabeth wants to fight and putting her in the position. On the sandbar, she realizes why Jack did it -- he wants aboard the Dutchman, so she makes the deal for Will, and you can clearly see that they both know this is Jack's plan and they are on his side. He makes only the slightest protest and simply "gives in" when Elizabeth reminds him she is the King, and the fact he just accepts that is what tells Barbossa finally that these three are plotting behind his back. Cutting Jack's Piece of Eight off confirms his plan to go through with freeing Calypso, and now both of them are fully aware of the other's plan. So Barbossa warns Jack, "If you have something to say [[about me swiping your piece of eight and what I might do with it]], I might be saying something myself [[about the fact you just found a way to get on Davy's ship to get to his heart]]." And Jack calmly replies, "First to the finish, then?" [[You make your play and I'll make mine and let's see who wins.]] And again we see that Jack is a GOOD man. When the ultimate prize is LITERALLY in his hand, he gives it up for someone else. And the whole time Elizabeth is begging to stay with Will, he literally _drags_ her away and to safety to get back aboard the Pearl to finish the fight. He's truly brilliant, and we start to see how much of his behavior is really and act to make others underestimate his skills.
Cinema peaked with this movie The Epicness,The score,The characters, The CGI This level of Epicness was never created in hollywood again, Endgame came close, but I think most will agree At worlds end tops it
The scene at the beginning when Elizabeth checks all of her weapons is reminiscent of Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome when Max gets checked by Dr. Dealgood. That will be another rabbit hole for another day.
God I love this franchise and I love watching it "with" people like you. The 2nd one and this one are by far my most favorite out of this franchise and probably one of my most favorite movies period
Thank you so much for the Norrington love. So many reactors don't understand him and think he is the enemy. There is so much more going on there, especially considering the era, his social standing and his position in the Navy. I get that Elizabeth needed adventure in her life, but if it were me I would have chosen Norrington.
The original trilogy for PotC really is a masterclass in storytelling and writing. Everyone has a goal, everyone has an angle, everyone is trying to gain leverage over one another in an attempt to further their own ambitions, and it's brilliant just how complex of a story you can get seeing all the characters clash with each other to do so. And then there's Jack, whose own goals and desires constantly change, making him the perfect agent of chaos to throw a wrench in everyone else's plans ... it's just incredible.
Someone once said that Will learned how to be a pirate from Jack and Elizabeth learned how to be a pirate from Barbossa, and I think that’s very true. Their styles are very similar when you think about it. 🙂
Orlando Bloom was doing his thing apart of some many franchise's trilogy Lord of the ringz, Pirates of the Caribbean can only think of his cast co-members Ian McKellen and Hugo Weaving involved in so many great franchise of right now
As an aside, have you guys ever watched The Expanse? After watching a bunch of your videos and hearing your opinions on different things, I think you guys would really enjoy The Expanse. The attention to detail is next level, the writing is extremely tight, and characters behave like real, mature adults. It's really refreshing. I won't even cry for a reaction for it, because The Expanse doesn't do huge numbers, but it does perform extremely consistently, its fans are hardcore. I just think you guys would really really enjoy it, regardless if you do it for the channel or not.
This sounds absolutely fantastic, just upon a brief Google search it sounds right up our alley! We're definitely gonna add it to the list and try to fit it into our schedule whenever we can! Thank you so much for the recommendation!
First two episodes in, i was immediately reminded of Babylon 5, which was the greatest scifi show ever written.😂 They definitely took cues from that when writing the novels and crafting the adaptation, I'm certain of it.❤ I was very happy about that. It also reminded me of the book The Moon is a Harsh Mistress, which was published in 1961. I was absolutely rewarded for that thought in the most recent season! Totally saw it coming since the beginning, and it was as amazing and awful as i thought it would be. If you know, you know.😉
The best musical scores in Hollywood You guys should actually react to the entire Pirates of the caribbean playlist, especially at worlds end Up is down and will elizabeth theme is probably the best piece of music from Hollywood ever
The into to this movie with the song is probably the most memorable intro to a film ever. It stuck with me so much, like Quills intro in Guardians or something. And I love that scene where the ship gets blasted in slow mo while he walks through it. I could go on, let's just say the film is epic
absolutely favorite line, from Geoffery Rush as Captain Barbossa, "Dearly beloved, we be gathered here today... to nail your gizzards to the mast, you poxy cur!"😂😂😂 and for me... (before they made the other... movies...) Captain Teague, keeper of the Code, was the pirate all the other pirates feared.
What do you mean Norrington started out as an a-hole? He NEVER was. Just because he was Will's competition doesn't make him a bad guy. The writers never turned him into an asshole or a bad guy just so that Will stands out more. He did everything for Elizabeth in the first movie, he was even willing to jump after her after she fainted and fell into the water. (his men stopped him because the rocks might have killed him). And he was willing to save Will for her. He loves her. And in the end he did the honorable thing and accepted that Elizabeth didn't love him. But even Elizabeth said that he was a good man and every woman should be glad to have him, which is true. He always was good and honorable and he would've treated Elizabeth like a queen. Tbh Elizabeth can have Will, I prefer James.
Jack Sparrow's dad is played by the legendary Keith Richards of Rolling Stones fame, whom Johnny Depp based his performance on. Elizabeth's dad is played by Jonathan Pryce, who's also been in 007: The World is Not Enough, G.I. Joe: Retaliation and Game of Thrones
It's so refreshing to hear the expression of experience. I don't comment very often but I only recently discovered you through your LOTR reactions and I am so impressed how much BS you do not speak (if that makes sense?) LOL Sooooo looking forward to catching up with a lot more of your previous reactions. Hanging on to the hope that you're going to continue with this franchise - you won't be disappointed. Love from UK. 🙂
I always felt some Honda dealership should had hired Rush as Barbosa. He would walk up to a couple who were shopping for a car and say "Aye, do we have an Accord?'
You guys have spoilt me, I watch other reactions also and the speed at which you guys make and release your content has made me expect the same from a lot of other reactors, and yes I realize its unfair to the other channels. Either ways absolutely love the consistency and speed at which you guys upload a Movie Series and finish it quickly. Great Work and I would like you to know that we all respect both of your efforts and commitment. 💯✨💯✨
Hans Zimmer - One Day One of his best and one of my top 5 behind: A Way of Life (The Last Samurai), Tennessee (Pearl Harbor), Now We Are Free (Gladiator), Discombobulate (Sherlock Holmes).
I was JUST about to recommend this! Val Kilmer's performance is one of the all time greatest performances in any movie. The fact he didn't win an Oscar for it still upsets me all these years later.
Love your channel and really enjoyed your potc reactions. One of my favourite series full of nostalgia, ty for the effort you put into these🤍 Made me laugh when Beckett's death was approaching and Denise was saying about fight or flight..."He is freeze" 😂
I actually loved Beckett as the antagonist. His end was so iconic. I mean he did work around and bend almost every sea to his will. He was too smart for his own good, so didn’t believe that pirates can also have some trust and organization to them in moments 😅
Will and Elizabeth’s tragic love story is one of my favorites of all time. I consider the original 3 a perfect trilogy and the sequels were just extra lol.
With this movie there is one thing that I never understood about David Jones' rules, if during the talk before the war David Jones stood in a bucket of water to be on the island, what prevented Elisabet from getting on a raft a few meters out to sea and meeting Will on his boat before the 10 years had passed?
I think because he is bound by his duty to ferry the soul during those 10 years, only then he gets a free time and able to go on land. He can’t sneak out to meet his wife during his duty. If he’s not doing his duty right, he would turn into fish people like Davy Jones.
Davy Jones was supposed to be the ferryman. he was to reside between life and death and wasn't meant to leave his "locker" and be seen on normal waters. the fact that he left his post and started to roam as he pleased is why he's cursed to be a monster. Will obviously can't do that. howerer, Elizabeth could technically join Will on the Dutchman (as part of the crew) or go through the whole waterfall thing again to visit him (though finding that waterfall is easier said than done). But overall it's not restricted in that sense.
1:07:51: My headcannon is, when Elizabeth is growing old and ready to die, she sets sail one last time. Dying at sea, the Flying Dutchman comes to ferry her to the afterlife, but apparently, you can just choose not to go and serve aboard the Dutchman under Captain Will. So Will and Elizabeth get to be together forever aboard the Dutchman.
In Florida on the Gulf Side people go to watch the sunset all the time and sometimes you actually can see the Green Flash as the Sun sets another cool thing is as the sun sets the light is still in the sky stays on the horizon for a long time i can actually be 9 :30 at night and you can see the light shining behind the Horizon its really cool to see!
The ending, while bittersweet, is still better than the alternative. Will was essentially dead, and his new wife and best friend, essentially made the decision for him, because they knew he'd rather have one day every ten years with the love of his life and a new lifetime with his father at sea, than to lose both all together. Such a perfect ending to the Will/Elizabeth story. It harkens back to the old Greek tragedies where even when heroes win, they often lose something, or are left cursed as a result. It's similar to Frodo in the LotR movies. It's a shame the latter Pirate sequels were never able to obtain the level of epic awesomeness and great writing that Gore Verbinski did with this trilogy.
the scene with jack sparrow in the locker is just to show that davy jones took away the one thing jack loves. the sea. jack LOVES being on the open seas, so being in a world completely devoid of the ocean shows that jack has been slowly going insane. hallucinating a whole crew of Jacks running the black pearl.

That moment where Will, now the captain of the Dutchman, comes out of the water is just *chefs kiss*
This movie was end game before Endgame was endgame
Yep
I've actually equated the first three Pirates of the Caribbean movies to the original Star Wars trilogy. And just like that trilogy, the sequel movies that came afterward couldn't hold a candle to the originals.
usualy the third movie in a trilogy is endgame so there were more endgames before endgame 😆
Literally yes... figuratively not even close
@@rushmaverick1923many such cases with trilogies
Till this day out of all unnecessary remakes and sequels I still want a prequel of Davy Jones and Calypso it would be a tragic thing indeed 💔
These movies are a masterclass in character goals, motivations, and conflicts. Every single person has a reason for what they're doing and it make all the chaos make sense.
And without making it feel too rushed. Its really good writing.
The opening scene is probably the best opening scene ever except for maybe the dark knight
26:30 the number of times I've seen reactors say 'he's okay' only for him to immediately die is hilarious.
And the way he goes out too…absolutely crushing
@@OfficialMediaKnightsI see what you did there 👀
The green flash is an atmospheric phenomenon that is extremely rare and mostly seen near the equator. I've seen 3 in 20 years of sailing.
Bill Nighy is such a great actor. I love his unique speach patterns. He was so great in this and in Underworld
The kid at the beginning is believed to be John King. A real-life kid who became a pirate at the age of 10.
I imagine there was many many cases like him
The song at the beginning, _Hoist the Colors,_ was written for the movie to tell the tale of Calypso, Jones, and the Court. Below is my analysis.
*The Chorus:*
_Yo ho, haul together_
_Hoist the colors high_
_Heave ho, thieves and beggars_
_Never shall we die_
The chorus is sung numerous times within the song. It's basically telling the pirates, full of thieves and beggers, to get ready to set sail. The lyrics here are obvious in meaning.
*First verse:*
_The King and his men_
_stole the Queen from her bed_
_and bound her in her bones_
The King was the Pirate King at that time, and while his identity is unknown, I believe him to be Jones himself. The King's men refers to the Brethren Court. The Queen is Calypso, her bed is the sea, and binding her in her bones refers to binding her to her human form.
_the seas be ours and by the powers_
_where we will we'll roam_
The seas literally belong to the pirates due to having power over Calypso.
*Second verse:*
_Now some have died_
_and some are alive_
_and others sail on sea_
This is a reference to the chorus of the song, which mention the pirates as thieves and beggars. This part of the verse is obvious in meaning.
_with the keys to the cage_
_and the Devil to pay_
The "keys" to the cage are the nine Pieces of Eight, which were used to bind Calypso. The Devil refers to Davy Jones himself since he's the one that told the Brethren Court how to bind her; he's also a devil of sorts, or what I like to call, an ocean-bound Hades.
_we lay to Fiddler's Green._
Fiddler's Green is an after-life of paradise for sailors where a fiddle never stops playing, but in the POTC universe, it is a tavern located in Davy Jones' locker. It might have a fiddle playing inside to fit the narrative.
*Third verse:*
_The bell has been raised_
_From it's watery grave..._
_Do you hear it's sepulchral tone?_
_A call to all_
_Pay head the squall_
_And turn your sails to home!_
This entire verse may refer to the scene of POTC where the pirates sing their song, and the Brethren Court is summoned to join together.
That is a pretty good list.
@@CgGoil sadly National Treasure 3 had gotten canceled
When u saw Davy Jones pick up his tear. He got angry and mew the heart was close because without the heart he would not be able to cry (have feelings)
Will and Elizabeth have on of the best on-screen weddings ever!
While you can't help but love Jack, Barbosa starts to steal the show in the series at this point! He is played phenomenally! He plays the character a lot like the original Treasure Island's Long John Silver. A classic "Ya filthy bilge rats!" type of pirate!
Barbossa is definitely one of the standouts! What an amazing performance by Geoffrey Rush, love the pirate he gave us ❤️
Chow Yun-fat, who played Sao Feng is one of the greatest asian actors of all time.
Seconded on Crouching Tiger.
I think The Media Knights would LOVE it!
That’s if they haven’t already.
The more I watch At World’s End the better it gets.
Also, I particularly enjoy Elizabeth as, apparently, Kiera Knightley is the TITS at swordplay!
The Killer
That scene with the crabs and the boat is just my favorite part of this movie start to finish. It's just so strange and makes me feel like I'm in a dream.
Definitely felt like a fever dream! So trippy but so visually interesting!
It's one of my favorite scenes from all the movies.
Geoffrey Rush is astounding in The King's Speech.
That's an amazing movie.
i like really how orlando bloom become a bit like johnny depp when he talks to beckett and jones with the tea-meet. This whole trilogy is just awesome.
"Malfaiteur en Tombeau, Crochir l'Esplanade, Dans l'Fond d'l'eau!"
Probably Orlando Blooms' best performance after Kingdom of Heaven, which by the way, is one of my top 20 favorite movies of all time.

Couldn’t agree more! That score just hits with that entire sequence!
at 48:17 you hear Calypso yell something but it's not in English - it's in French "Malfaiteur en tombeau, crochir l'esplanade, dans l'fond d'l'eau!", French for "Across all the seas, find the path to he who wrongfully entombed me!"

I'm an American that grew up in the Bahamas and I had a father figure who acted just like Capt Jack Sparrow... He always was drinking rum literally all day and night then would go free diver spear fisherman. Best time of my life!
Will and Elizabeth. Best wedding ever
1:00:33 Probably the most majestic and glorious end a villain can get. Best I've seen in a movie. Makes me want to stand up and clap for Beckett
1:00:44 me too
This is my 2nd favorite film of the POTC franchise!!
So Barbossa warns Jack, "If you have something to say [[about me swiping your piece of eight and what I might do with it]], I might be saying something myself [[about the fact you just found a way to get on Davy's ship to get to his heart]]." And Jack calmly replies, "First to the finish, then?" [[You make your play and I'll make mine and let's see who wins.]]
And again we see that Jack is a GOOD man.
Cinema peaked with this movie
The Epicness,The score,The characters, The CGI
This level of Epicness was never created in hollywood again,
Endgame came close, but I think most will agree At worlds end tops it
true.
Nah rose tinted glasses
The scene at the beginning when Elizabeth checks all of her weapons is reminiscent of Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome when Max gets checked by Dr. Dealgood. That will be another rabbit hole for another day.
God I love this franchise and I love watching it "with" people like you. The 2nd one and this one are by far my most favorite out of this franchise and probably one of my most favorite movies period
These films felt like an experience! That battle at the end was stunning!
When people say cinematography, I hear At world’s End
Orlando Bloom was doing his thing apart of some many franchise's trilogy Lord of the ringz, Pirates of the Caribbean can only think of his cast co-members Ian McKellen and Hugo Weaving involved in so many great franchise of right now
Don’t forget The Matrix Franchise and Transformers Series Hugo Weaving Is Freakin Awesome and Phenomenal

Been excitedly, impatiently waiting on this!!! So happy you guys are watching this, can’t wait to see the whole video!!
15:57 The way he plucked that tear knowing that his heart was near.

Aside enjoying Captain Barbosa and Davy Jones is a awesome force, but my favorite is Lord Becker. The actor killed the role. ❤
As a matter of fact, I bought the DVD to 1 and 2 and never rushed to 3.
Will and Elizabeth’s tragic love story is one of my favorites of all time. I consider the original 3 a perfect trilogy and the sequels were just extra lol.
My favorite of the franchise.
It was a fantastic way to wrap up this story!! Absolutely loved it!
Me too
Jack was literally the smartest person in the room. He played them exactly how he wanted.
« At World’s End » is my favourite episode of the franchise 🤩🏴☠️
The final battle is so epic and the best naval fight I never watched ❤
That battle sequence at the end was amazing! Loved how dynamic the action was in this one 😃
