While I'm not sure if there is hard links and evidence, it's well documented that Sony had marketing rights so they obviously wouldn't indefinitely market the game and would force a release or drop the game.

You do realize that it's double standard on your part, right?!
You claim that you won't forgive Hello Games and Sean Murray, but then you go and claim that it's the same with how you stopped playing The Division.
In this case you are 'ditching' an entire developer, while in Ubisofts case, you are 'ditching' only one of their franchises. Meaning that the developers themselves can fail your trust again and again, so long as they do it with different games.
That shows that you are quite ignorant and, worse yet, that you simply don't think. Forgiveness is one thing, if someone does something bad knowingly, it's in their personality to do it after all. But your selective nature coupled with complete refusal to research even the slightest bit about the follow-ups of whatever you got burned up is just worthy of a sheep. A person that goes on the rails built by another and is content with that.

It's truly amazing to see how much he has learned, grown confident and still has the same passion as he had at the start, from this honestly vile and brutal experience. I can do nothing but respect someone who lives through what he had to live through, and not become bitter or angry, or at the least disillusioned from the overwhelming negative press and responses that he has received. I honestly think that it is amazing the way he holds himself in his conversation with the press and he has truly deserved his redemption and demonstrated that even when the world is out for your blood, you can through hard work and dedication always turn things around! They could have so easily sublimated after the game launched and folded. It is refreshing to see creators not only strive to fix their mistakes which affects every single one of their customers year after year, but also own up to their shortcomings in clear language without putting layers upon layers of spin on it to save their egos.
NMS and Warframe are two games that really show what multi-year long dedication to improve a singular project can attain, albeit NMS having substantially more anticipation surrounding it prior to launch. Suffice it to say, they have leveraged modern day tech convenience of patches and DLC to fix and subsequently elevate NMS to great new heights.

NMS was a bumpy ride, but not once did I stop respecting Sean Murray.
Sure, people like him, and people like Peter Molyneux have a tendency to bite off more than they can chew, and in the process of romanticizing their ideas and ambitions they over-promise, but these guys are visionaries and dreamers trying to make something new in a world of "Been-there, don't that, corporate art." These guys are trying to make new things happen. Their biggest fault is in their hubris, not realizing that their ideas aren't as easily attainable as they may have envisioned, yet they always try, and that's damn respectable.

Sean is great developer for me. If I develope games, I would use same mind set like him. Just make something what i always wanted to play and make my fantasies into the game. I have played NMS from launch and even then it was very special game. Today version is much more complete and have more options and possibilities, but from the begining it was very unique and mindblowing game. Respect for all work they did in small team and for that they dont ruin it with some microtransactions or something similar. Many other companies should take this like role model for they bussines.

In my opinion, Sean never lied about a single thing in regards to No Man’s Sky and the features that were to be included at launch. I think he underestimated how much could be implemented by launch, but Sony would not allow them to delay the game to ensure expectations could be met. I believe he simply did his best with the time he and his team was afforded. Maybe I’m biased, since I’ve never held even a shred of animosity towards him or his incredibly tiny team. I’ve loved the game since day one and continue to love it, even now in 2021.

Mr BobaJango paid full price for the game at launch because I was hyped at what I saw at e3 and events before, but what I got was something far below that. It’s a precautionary thing due to the fact that he promised so much beyond what was actually there and I think plenty other people will agree that if they ever make another game it’ll be hard to ever trust him even if he’s telling the truth about his game. In light of that though as I said respect what he’s done for no mans sky and I have gone back to it on ps4 from time to time, my main point is that I got screwed at launch and that’s a hard thing to forgive ya know
