How many did you get right?
I missed 4 how many was there?
every single one after one note God level 😁
Missed two. Laramie and Dr Who. Which we did not get in the States back then iirc.
@@LtJackboot
Yah sure. And I'm old enough to have seen every one of these shows because I flipped the switch when the Boss said "Let there be light"
@@mpetersen6 I was abandoned to live in front of the TV since I was 6 in 1971.Feel good about yourself troll?
I only missed the ones I never watched.
Missed 11
Missed 10
Can't believe they put "I Love Lucy" in the "hard" section!! Are you kidding me?
Back then, there were only three stations. We lived in NorCal, in the gold country foothills. We could only get reception for NBC. But in the late 60s, dad installed a new antenna that was directional. I then became a full time remote control-not just on/off/volume/horizontal/vertical, but I was charged to find the antenna’s sweet spot for each channel. We didn’t get a color TV until the mid 70s.
I live between Huntsville and Birmingham so when I was a kid we had to rotate to which direction the channel, something we have in common across the US
Now THAT'S what I call a blast from the past !!! ❤ Thank you so much !!! 🏆
It's fascinating to hear these perfect, little tunes that are catchier and more singable than any music produced today.
👍
The Brady Bunch, Andy Griffith and I Love Lucy should all have been put into the "EASY" category.
Totally. And where was the only real piece of music from US TV -- Peter Gunn?
No never watched them😵
Agree. Hard not to get all of those, I thought.
@@VLind-uk6mb Yes! I was hoping for Peter Gunn! I was watching it just last year on a Washington DC cable channel until my cable provider pulled the station.
Agree how can the theme song for most popular most watched show ever be hard.
I counted the ones I missed 5. I was thinking f troop till I heard Rin tin tin bark.😆😆
I got all but the very last one. I've never even heard of that show before. It's so funny how some of these theme songs made me remember what shows came on right before or after them. Some of my favorites weren't on here, like Gomer Pyle, My Three Sons, Dennis the Menace, Leave it to Beaver, Rawhide, Alfred Hitchcock Presents, Dragnet, Gilligan's Island, Mr. Ed, The Courtship of Eddie's Father, Perry Mason, The Adventures of Superman, The Munsters, and my all time favorite... Kung Fu. 😃
The Lone Ranger theme song.(William Tell Overture 4th movement by Rossini) made me fall in love with classical music as a kid. Wore the album out my father bought. Boston Pops version.
Lots of fun. When I was little I used my cassette tape recorder to tape the theme songs of many of the TV shows, including most of the ones you used here. Great memories!!! I still watch reruns of most of these shows and many more.
There is a DVD that has lots of theme songs on it ,I think I bought mine at dollar general
Me too
Of the shows I have seen, I only missed Lassie. This was a blast from the past
There was an earlier version of Lassie. I remember that theme song, too.
For some reason, when I was a kid, the Lassie theme made me cry. Hadn't heard it in over 40 years but it still made me tear up. 🥺
The whistle was original Lassie (Tommy Rettig). I think later (park ranger???) they changed the song.
I found out that I watched way too much TV as a child. I missed only two "Lassie" which while familiar I could not remember in time. I also missed "Laramie" which I don't think I ever watched. "Bat Masterson" and "Rin-tin-tin" I must have seen in reruns/syndication on 60's early morning Saturday TV along with "Sky King". "Fury" and other TV westerns.
Got all but two. Missed the easiest one Gunsmoke & Bat Masterson. Miss em' all, shoulda' snuck Palladin have gun will travel in there that was coool though . 😁
That was another terrible show.
As a kid who watched very little TV (I was a book nerd) I did surprisingly well on all three levels. It goes to show how these tunes become ingrained in our sub-consciousness. I would probably do equally well with TV commercials! Thanks for the trip.
Got 'em all, although I was looking for "Alfred Hitchcock Presents".
i. Only the shadow knows
You must be a little older than me or watched a little more reruns,I never saw a couple of them green lantern was one of them
I thought I'd give it a try even though I'm from the UK. Only missed out lassie, Andy Griffiths and the last few western ones. Was amazed I knew so many, especially the green hornet theme.
Lots I didn't get comming from the UK. But what about:- Davey Crocket, Champion the Wonder Horse, Wells Fargo, Whirieybirds, The Third Man and Hiram Holiday?
@@chutalotr Yeah, used to get davey crocket, champion and whirlybirds over here, remember them. Wells fargo possibly, as for the other two, don't think so but maybe I'm just a little young.
I was surprised to hear Dr Who in there. I'm pretty sure we didn't show that over here when it came out.
The theme songs are too short. Still recognized more than several of them.
I use to play the Bonanza theme song on my electric Epiphone guitar, that and "Ghost Riders In the Sky' were probably the two most requested songs I played.
Some good composers back then.
The US produced some wonderful, orchestral themes in the 60s, like Bewitched and Star Trek - love hearing them again.
I missed ten, mostly the 1950’s shows. But I mostly saw the 1960’s ones, first time runs like get smart and hogan’s heroes. Good quiz.
I heard the theme to "I Love Lucy" and the first thing that came to my mind is Ricky yelling "Luuuucy, you got some ‘esplaining to dooo!”
I missed 1. Wow! We’re we glued to the tv set back then. However there wasn’t a lot of variety then. Goood stuff none the less
Only missed 4 of them.was a lot of hearing those tv themes.thank u
Very good score!! 👏👏👏
I missed most of them but it was fun listening to them anyway.
Glad to meet an honest person....howdy!
When you get old I remember everyone of the themes and trying to go back and putting a TV show with it. I can’t remember some of these shows, being you don’t see them anymore except the more popular ones.
I got 90% of allshow. I watch some every day on channel CHCH FROM Hamilton Ontario Canada 🇨🇦
Having the I Love Lucy theme as the first of the "hard" ones???? Seriously. I must just be old sigh........lol........but that tune is so recognizable in half a heartbeat.
I could not identify five of the tunes (due to having never watched the series), but not bad for a Brit. The Hawaii 5 O made me smile. When I was a police officer in the early 80's we modified one of the series catch phrases from "cuff him, Danno" to "cuff him and stuff him Danno" whenever we nicked a villain.
He said Book'em danno
I'm old, and I missed nine of them (!). I thought I'd do better than that.
Missed Laramie completely, and made the stupid error of saying "Gomer Pyle, USMC," rather than "Hogan's Heroes." But since I really do know the Hogan's Heroes theme, I'm giving myself half credit.
Kinda surprised myself with getting all the others, though Bat Masterson was a wild assed guess. Thank goodness I always liked Gene Barry and took a leap of faith with that one!
I said outer limits instead of twilight zone😐
@@markwalker3829 tich tich tich.
I do not remember a show Laramie
i also said gomer pyle instead if hogans heros
Idk why there are categories. We either watched these shows or we didn't.
Missed 3 shows I never watched not bad for an 80 yr old
Bat Masterson was easy for me. 'His name was Bat, Bat Masterson.' Remember Sugerfoot, 26 Men, Cheyenne, Bronco Lane, Wild Wild West, Paladin 2 versions, Tombstone Territory, Kukla Fran and Ollie, Rootie Kazootie, The Merry Mailman, Captain Video, West Point Story, Zacherely, and Filbert the Flea?
Lone Ranger- William Tell Overture- but without the magnificent cello solo at the beginning of the overture.
I’m 63 so of course got them all
Really, I'm 64 and I missed 2...a little full of your self eh,...I'm betting you're an American or a Brit...do have a nice day though.
I'm 64, did pretty well, missed Sesame Street and Bat Masterson.
I'm 66 and got Bat Masterson, but Ilaso missed Sesame Street
Yeah we're too old for sesame street... lol
@@s.morris4099 Sesame Street was below my pay grade
22 correct. great video, thanks for sharing. Greetings from North Michigan, USA.
All but 3
I missed 2 The Green Hornet and The Doctor one, I never watched either one of them... Lots os fun though
I remember those themes, Shows I seen and remember
The William Tell Overture was also used in the British show of William Tell.
Just about the classiest theme song used on a TV show. Now imagine a TV show based on The Seahawk. And use the theme from the movie for the credits. The Cornblatt influence is all over John Williams's stuff.
I thought it was interesting that for the US release of William Tell, they knew people would associate it with the Lone Ranger. So they wrote a new theme based on a different part of the Overture. Having heard both, I think we in the US got the better deal. :-)
Why wasn't Have Gun-Will Travel on the list ?1957to 1963.
Here in Scotland your said to be cultured if you can listen to the William Tell Overture and not think of Robin Hood.
Missed 12. Mostly from shows I never watched. I’m 73 and surprised at what I remember!
Lone Ranger was basically a sitting catch!! Who didn't know THAT??🙄🙄
Man I spent way too much time in-front if the screen as a kid. 100%
1:54. I remembered all of the tunes, and I remembered the actors, and even some of the episodes. It was the exact names of some of the shows that stumped me iSome of them we didn’t get, because we had limited access to some of the net works at times. Mom put a chair in the living room and put my supper on that when my favorite shows came on. One of my favorite shows wasn’t mentioned here, and it came on every Saturday morning. I remember Hi Ho Trigger. I loved Roy Rogers!
was my f😂
Most of the ones that aired here in my country I got, even some that we hadn't here back then.
F Troop, Rat patrol, hawian eye, 12 O'clock high, those might have been hard even for an old guy like me.
Some of those we didn't get on our t.v. but got most of them.
The William Tell Overature for the Lone Ranger.
The ultimate sign of sophistication is listening to the “William Tell Overture” and never once think of the “Lone Ranger”.
We have an extra challenge in the UK as there was a 1950s show about William Tell with the overture as the theme so to be sophisticated here at a party we not only have to fight down the impulse to say "That's the Lone Ranger" when hearing this music but we also have to avoid singing "Come away, Come Away with William Tell, Come Away, Come away and run like Hell...." not the actual lyrics but every schoolboy knew this version.
As said by Billy Connolly!
Got every one of 'em.
I love classical music, but I'd have soon stopped breathing than miss the Lone Ranger on Saturday afternoon.
Got them all except the last 3.
Only " missed a few, The Monkees was way too short! otherwise it was a nice stroll down memory lane 😊 Thanks
I missed "Sesame Street" (which was the very end of the 60s - premiered in 69), "Bat Masterson" and "Laramie".
I *would* have missed "The Adventures of Rin Tin Tin" if not for the bark there at the end.
Got all the 'easy'...missed several Med. - was in college, didnt watch, ex -+Rinty. Still have never watched Sesame St!!!!My son watched Monkees. Dont understsnd putting "Lucy" in ha rd!!! Prob the best known of all!!! And everybody (I thought) knew Gunsmoke. And Andy Griffith (even birds know that one!!!!)Yes, I recog. The Lassie whistle immed❤ Whistle me up a memory.,..
I guess kind of a gut punch. Those darn memories.
Great fun! Level of difficulty is whether or not you know them. I didn't know any of the shows I didn't watch and I knew all the songs I watched!
I've never seen Dr.Who, so that music was totally unknown to me!
Only missed 2 - I didn't watch Sesame Street and the Green Hornet
Almost perfect! 👏👏👏
Trivia: Both Lorne Greene (Bonanza) and June Lockhart (Lassie) ended up flying around in outer space (Greene: Battlestar Galactica / Lockhart: Lost in Space). Although both their earlier roles were definitive pieces of Americana, neither was American.
Another fun quiz that brought back my childhood (which took place in the 50's & 60's)
And yes, I got them all (full disclosure I confused Daniel Boone for Davey Crokett for a second, and thought Rin-Tin-Tin was F-Troop) and am now OD'ing on the nostalgia. (recognizing Laramie and Bat Masterson provided the biggest nostagia hit, while Bonanza gave me the warm fuzzies...Sunday Night at mu house: The Wonderful World of Disney, Bonanza and Ed Sullivan 7pm, 8pm, 9pm,)
I Love Lucy should have been in placed in the 'easy' category. It is still aired locally at least 3 times a day, so I think even most millennial kids would get it.
Thanks for the memories ❤️
Most of the ones in the hard category, I did not watch. A couple of them should have been in the easy category. Very nostalgic!
Got all but two. Laramie, and Sesame Street. NOw, I didn't watch the show till the 70s, but what ever you played was not the theme song then. Great fun.
Missed Batman, Flipper and Lassie.
I got all but three. Not bad for an old geezer.
Some easy ones stumped me, but many in medium & hard were a piece of cake!---This was great fun, thanx for doing this!
I missed 4. Flipper, sesame street, Dr who and Bat Masterson
Stirred up some memories now I wanna roll up a doobie and wait for doctor shock to come on .
Missed 5. I recalled the original version of the Gunsmoke theme, before they went to one hour and color. Wasn't a fan of the Munsters / AF. First TV arrived in the house when I was five. Narragansett Bay
Missed the ones I never watched 😮
I got almost all of them. I loved those themes.
not much difference between easy and hard
never heard of many of these programmes
So you included the only British show,. Doctor Who, from the 50s and 60s!. Well done! That of course is the only British show made in the 50s and 60s...
I missed 5 of them. Thanks
Where did the Lone Ranger take his trash? 🤔 “To the dump, to the dump, to the dump-dump-dump! To the dump, to the dump, to the dump-dump-dump! To the dump, to the dump, to the dump-dump-dump; to the dump, to the duuump-dump-dump!” 🤪
I had most of them, remembered their faces to the tune if I couldn't recall the name. How fun though and thanks!!
No Man from Uncle? I did appreciate the Dr. Who though.
I missed SESAME STREET, RIN TIN TIN, BAT MASTERSON & LARAMIE
Thank you for reminding me, I never got to watch the twilight zone. But, I sure know that tune while I fell 💤,...into the twilight zone😢
I got all but three, not so bad for a old woman that had a bad stroke and I have short term memory loss!
Got 20 out of 30 correct. 20/30
Very good!
Only missed Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea & Doctor Who=didn't watch those two. Bat Masterson and Laramie either until they were on cable TV 😅. I agree that I Love Lucy/I Dream of Jeannie/The Brady Bunch etc should have been in the easy section 😂
I never saw Rin Tin Tin, Sesame Street or Bat Masterson, so I didn't get them but all the rest I recognized. I was hoping to hear my favorite theme - The Virginian. Best Western ever! Still watch it when I catch it on Grit.
Hubby past medium and hard level except 3 out of the easy ones he never heard of This was such a great game thank you.
Very good score ! 👏👏👏
We are glad that you liked it.
I only missed Dr. Who and Laramie. Damn, I'm old!
I missed 2, Laramie and Rin Tin Tin. I would have thought there'd be more westerns from that era. The Virginian, High Chapparal, Rawhide, Branded, The Rifleman, Paladin, The Rebel, westerns were as big then as cop shows are today.
All of them!
Missed a few, mainly shows I never watched.
The last one was "I Dream Of Jeannie" rather than "Bewitched"
This was fun. Thanks for a stroll down memory lane
since almost all of these shows are broadcast on some station at some time every day, these shouldn't be too hard to get! But it was fun playing along!
i think all i did was grow up in front of the tv... no regrets
I missed 6, one of which saddens me: flipper, rin-tin-tin, I love Lucy (sad face), bat masterson, gunsmoke, and laramie. Can't believe how many other westerns I named for the westerns I missed like The Rifleman, Have Gun Will Travel and Davy Crocket. I watched too much tv when I was young.
I feel your pain. I called out "Sugarfoot" for Bat Masterson.
Same here, I guessed The Rifleman and Have Gun Will Travel on 2 that I missed.
The hard ones were too easy if you watched the shows they were all easy, but a couple I never watched so I had no clue
Got 95 per cent. The rest were shows I never watched on a regular basis.
I made it all the way up to flipper, and I'm glad I didn't get any further.
You missed out the big valley, the Virginian, lancer, the high chaparral, mannix, kojak, to name but a few
Missed a couple, mostly only because I thought Bewitched was I Dream of Jeannie and I confused Bonanza for Gunsmoke, but I definitely didn’t see a couple of those shows
