Hogans Heroes was a 60's show but ended in 1971, Bonanza was also a 60's show but ended in 1973, Same with I Dream of Jeannie that ended in 1970...they're still classified as 70's shows because they played in the 70's.

So technically, you played an audio clip to the popular song "Suicide Is Painless" by Johnny Mandel which was a semi-popular hit on the radio for a short time. 24/30 but 5 were shows I didn't watch. I can't believe I missed "The Six Million Dollar Man" as that was my must watch every week alongside "The Bionic Woman" on ABC.
I only got 10. I was very young in the 70s and most of these, if not all, were American shows. Being from the UK, I'm not sure that they were all shown over here. I have heard of many but not all of them, even now.
28 for me, definitely a sign of a wasted life. Would have got the Waltons also had the clip included the main tune of the theme (played by the trumpet).
I got most of them I noticed that there were a couple where you played the part that gave away the title. Also that the TV series of MASH never used the lyric version of the song, that was strictly the movie Also also, that HAH YAH after each clue got real annoying after about the third time.
You had the hawaii five-o theme by the ventures but not the original tv theme and the mission impossible thumbnail that was from the 90s abc reboot which also had Peter graves

The point of my post was to draw attention to how much the quiz moderator missed the mark with their cultural references. Yes, shows like Lassie and I dream of Jeannie ran up into the 1970s but no one with any culture savvy would ever associate those shows with the 1970s. I enjoyed the quiz but calling it a 70s TV show Theme song quiz shows a complete lack of understanding for how the human race classifies cultural references in the framework of specific decades.

You're right. The words were only used in the movie version, not in the TV series. Our mistake.
Actually, the MASH theme song actually has lyrics....however for the show there were never any lyrics being sung.
