This was a lovely little place. I would also like to live there. I read When the Lion Feed when I was a teenager. Good book. I think the Gognac glasses were Sundae dishes. the shell you found was A Scallop shell. I used to get them from the fishmonger when I was a teenager , paint them, and he bought them back to decorate his shop. happy days. James Last was an orchestra leader. He used to pop up on Tv on a saturday evening as i remember. Easy listening music.
James Last wrote a piece of music called " The Lonely Shepherd" in the English translation. He performed it with Georghe Zamfir on pan flute. A haunting and beautiful melody, and definitely worth a listen.
Hello Adam. I enjoy your videos (liked and subscribed). Thank you. That board in the the drawer is for Cribbage scoring. I am 67 and I do remember them. It was popular in USA and was invented in England. This is from wiki: "Cribbage was invented in the early 1600s by Sir John Suckling, an English courtier, poet, gamester and gambler, as a derivation of the game noddy. While noddy has disappeared, cribbage has survived, virtually unchanged, as one of the most popular games in the English-speaking world!"
I loved this little house. In it’s day I could feel there was a lot of love. I could feel her cooking looking out at the lovely land. In the USA the government sells property as tax sale. In the UK do they not auction off property for back taxes? It’s a shame such a lovely place sitting empty, it has a lot of love to give a family. Nice video!
I does look like the son was there and took only what he wanted and left what he didn't want to deal with. Cute house. Thanks for taking me along with you.

You're assuming these people were nice parents. Maybe they weren't. I work in an old people's home and regularly meet elderly folk whose grown-up children don't visit...and with good reason. I've also know elderly people who have outlived their children or whose children have emigrated. Maybe their child is well-off and didn't need the bother of sorting his inheritance. Maybe he's a drunk. There are thousands of reasons.
Adam, you're a dear! Your explores take me down memory lane, I came from UK in 69 age 6 but you never forget! I recognised so many thing's as it was just like as you said, your nans house! Thank you dear!
🙏👵🇦🇺
Just stumbled upon your channel. Really enjoying it. The vandalism in this house broke my heart. This lovely old house needs to be lived in and taken care of. By the way, I had to read some of the novels you found in high school here in the USA.
I do look forward to every Sunday for the amazing explores thank you Adam and Lisa and Dale we all love you guys and gal 👍❤👍❤👍❤👍❤👍❤👍❤👍❤
Such a precious, cozy place!! His son should be ashamed, no hate, this is a beautiful home and I could feel the vibes here in the US!! I want to visit!! ❤
Loved this Adam, I think your content is amazing, the history here is awesome, I look forward to your uploads every week 😊💯🥰
What cozy loving vibes I’ve just had looking at the front room. There was a lot of love in this house I feel. Such a shame to hear about the back story. Wish people wouldn’t vandalise. Thank you for being so respectful as always x
What a quaint little cottage that was! Love the artwork! Such a shame people can be so disrespectful!
The little gaming board in the draw was a “ cribbage” board Adam, not sure how you play it but I think it’s a card game and the cribbage board was like a score board, lovely explore Adam, nice to be back in Blighty 👍🥰🐾🥰🐾🥰🐾
Beautiful little house. It’s such a shame that people have to get in & vandalise every thing
The living room is gorgeous.
Loved this shame about the vandalism some people have no respect,
Thank you for taking us along on your journeys.

Glad to see your back in the UK! Love watching these videos and learning about it all!
💜🐷💜 Thanks for the tour. Gives me something to watch on this boring Sunday. 😉
Love this little cottage. Is it for sale? Someone should buy it , the land is amazing 🥰🥰🥰
Sweet find Adam 💯 👍♥
I appreciate the time you take in your intros. It's good to hear a bit of information about the place you're taking us to explore. The fact that you are always respectful does not go unnoticed either. Don't you play crib in the UK? That's what that board with the holes on it was. It's a great game. We play it a lot in Canada. It was invented by sailors. Thanks for taking places I've never been!
This one was Sad! Why do people have to thrash stuff, I don't get it.
Looks like it would have been a lovely home back in it's day! Poor Gerry, whatever happened to his Son I wonder.
Thank you Adam for this lovely Explore!! Can't wait for the next one!! Stay Safe
Lovely video mate. Absolute shame on the vandals.
Wow that was a lovely home, shame its abandoned. The slides would go into a tray which then would fit into the projector , my dad had one and we use to love looking at them . Thanks for sharing Adam you are amazing.
Very sad 😢 thank you Adam for keeping Gerrys life memories alive ❤
Hi Adam just to tell you your videos are really good thanks for your videos
Nice video!
Nope as tax is paid automatically
In the uk we have the p.a.y.e system means tax is always automatically taken out of your wages and or pension. You don’t have to worry about it.
I does look like the son was there and took only what he wanted and left what he didn't want to deal with. Cute house. Thanks for taking me along with you.
Hi Adam, Lovely find! Just wanted to let you know that on (time mark 6:12) the small desk as you were panning over, is one of the small viewers that you could look through to see a bigger image of the small slides that you find in older homes and call negatives.
Also, the “instructions” on the dresser were for same.
G'day Adam Mark, I like your adventure keep up with your great work that you do, I'm watching from all the way down under Great Wild South Australian, also today is Anzac Day today take care and be safe

I’m glad you are respectful of these old homes and the families/people who lived in them. It’s such a shame others choose to trash the homes and steal from them.
Thanks for a lovely experience: it's a "Goldilocks " home: not too big, and not too small. Actually, for an ailing person on their own, it is already too much. Too many rooms and too much land. It's sad about the son's not returning. My greetings from Spain.
