  • Ever notice that a lot of Evangelion AMVs use the same footage? So did we. C&C Productions presents "Let This Be The End Of Evangelion", an Evangelion AMV parody of, well, Evangelion AMVs...
    Music used: "What Is Love?" by Haddaway and "Session" by Linkin Park
    This is C&C Productions' first AMV. It was premiered in the AMV contest of Katsucon 10, where it won the following awards:
    Audience Choice - #1 Favorite
    Judges' Choice - Best Comedy
    Judge Special Achievement Certificate (Presented By: Steve Shivers)
    This AMV was made by C&C Productions (the husband equivalent of WTF Productions) and has been uploaded with their permission.

    As a personal fan of Neon Genesis Evangelion, and a fan of AMVs in general,
    I gotta say...
    That this was completely too awesome for words XD

    I don't understand how anybody could feel this way.
    I've seen the EoE at least 27 times and every time I watch it I find another part that makes me stop and go...... "OHHHHH."
    It's THAT deep. Every single touch of what you people call "randomness" has some sort of underlying, or apparent meaning and/or symbolism. And the ending scene... My god, it was just so beautiful, as was the rest of the movie.
    Definitely one of the best films in cinema history

    This video is golden. I've sworn to never use the Asuka scene in an AMV, ever.

    Woah, this was your FIRST AMV?! That explains it! I remember watching this at my 2nd year of Fanime I think, in the AMV contest. I remember when the "Flair" part came up someone went "WOO!" XD
    This was the AMV that sticked with me the most by the way, I don't remember the others you went up again. Well, actually, that Patlabor one also, because it was a similar style.

    Well said, EVA did indeed touch me in a very deep way, as I happen to be a LOT like the storys main hero/antihero.

    just because i may not agree with it dosent mean i will let go, it has many lessons that I havent learned and so much that I have. Sanity in my case must be maintained through constant reflection, if I nod off everything that is disturbing it will only come back to haunt me.

    Haha! Asuka Smash!
    I think the Evangelion AMV Creator's Guild mandates the use of this scene. Haha!
    So true. Hell I even used a little of that scene in my AMV

    Well, quite simply it's because the movie was made in response to the hundreds of death threats the director received after finishing the series.
    So basically he said 'Fine, you want to see Asuka fight more? No problem. But she's going to die horribly. Want to see Misato and Shinji finally come to terms with each other? Okay. But she dies.'
    Basically, the whole thing was made as a 'screw you message' to the fans who sent death threats.

  • @DouchebagChocolat
    @DouchebagChocolat 15 років тому

    Asuka's not dead...
    The movie is the way it is because Anno was going through a deep depression.
    There where about two screw you moments...

    Touji Suzuhara. He always ahngs with Kensuke Aida. We first see him returning to school after his sister gets hurt in the attack of the third angel Sachiel

    Believe me, I know they ran out of funds and were severely limited. I also understand that Misato and Ritsuko are shown (in the series), shall we say, disposed of, in the same way they are in the film. But that doesn't change the fact that alot of cruel and threatening letters were sent to the director (some even appear in the film), so it's hard for me to believe that those threats had little to no impact on the way the film came out.

    such as? there is what makes sense and what is brilliant. MOST entertainment is one or the other. but people fail to apriciate the deeper things.

  • @metalraider187
    @metalraider187 17 років тому

    hell considering the average IQ im not suprised of why some people criticize the series for being "confusing", symbolism, metaphysics, psychology.... is it making your head explode? emo? wtf i swear people just use whatever random word to try to simplify something more complex than they can imagine. no wonder this country is going to hell in a hand basket..... entertainment.

    You put the yaoi part in, and I will take your eyes as souvenirs!

  • @ambivaly

    Actually.... the original ending was not what the creator intended. The reason it turned out the way it did was because lack of funds and lack of time. End of Evangelion, since it was a movie that came after the series was finished, did not suffer from the same limitations imposed on the first ending. You can prove this by checking out the special features for the last two episodes of the original series.

    "its not art if it dosent change you" for the most part NGE is for people with issues, not for well set individuals. many of the issues in the series are present in other people, mainly depression. now thats not to say that NGE is about depression, there is soo much more, an example is how well if at all you interpreted "insturmentality". thats as far as i will go for this response.

  • @metalraider187
    @metalraider187 17 років тому

    easy, people rave about the action, fanservice,that type of thing. its like oh yea eva rocked do you remember that one angel getting pewned by unit such and such. most people only seem to apriciate it for the action. NGE is series that demands your attention, if you truly pay attention you can begin to pick up its finer and more intelectual side.

    sure they do, they are about NGE and its complex psychological issues that my freind here obviously cant see.

  • @onimotoko

    Movie made no more sense than the other garbage that they called "The End".
    Hope the remake does the trick. Ya know what they say, fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me, fool me three times, and I'll fukin bust a cap in Anno's head, I swear.

  • @metalraider187
    @metalraider187 17 років тому

    I see EMO, but thats the average persons interpretation of much more complex and mental issues relevant to everyone one way or another, unless you have lived a perfect life which i highly doubt.

    ok....
    You guys suck for dissing touji!!!
    And besides, Rei is awesome in the last episode. even though that was only one sequence.

  • @metalraider187

    so you are into entertainment that is all mindless action? that is fine, but if you arent willing to use your brain dont watch NGE. i cant believe you value NGE simply for its action, go watch something more apropiate for your IQ if you do not wish to think.
