Thank you homie , I’m gonna order a new door lock module , I have an alarm system and hey used to lock all together. But I guess from the bass it got messed up haha
Great troubleshooting tips! Except this wouldn't help me as I have a 2000 Accord EX and don't believe that controller is in my door. My power lock (and dome light) don't work from driver side switch. I have to use key fob or key to lock/unlock. I'm thinking my issue is in the Multiplex Control unit (38800-S84-A06) under dash.
Good evening Mike. Did you get your lock working? Do you suspect its the driver or passenger side multiplex? I have a similar issue where my door locks work with the Key FOB or I can open locks for both doors from the passenger side.
@@freight-specialist6929 Nope, never fixed it. That controller board looks like too much work under the dash. I use the key fob, or if I don't have it, reach over to passenger side to hit that button. It's too bad bc that is the only issue with my 2000 accord ex which is otherwise still in mint condition!
Thank you for posting this video. My switch will only unlock all of the doors, but will not do anything when pressing down yo lock. My switch tested closed circuit up and down and open in middle position. So the switch appears fine. The three pole harness connector shows 12v only on the right terminal. Only one side is energized on my harness. In your video, you say there is power on both the outside terminals. Is the harness supposed yo have power on both the outside terminals?
My locks work but I when I try locking and unlocking with the key it doesn’t work. This issue started when I replaced the radio in my 2009 honda. You have any idea what it could be? The moonroof also stopped working. Thanks
Let me ask you a question. Fist my issue. I have 1995 civic ex coupe. On the driver side it has connections for the module, the power mirror, and the door lock switch. But it has 2 more that aren’t connected and I don’t where they go. Can you give me an idea where do they belong ? Or what are they for ? Thank you.
I'll check the switch I have a 04,,,,,, but it works when the door closed ,, not open, I think I just need a new motor, I have 2k plus miles on mine as well,,,, kinda hard to find information on my year of civic 2004
If it works when closed but not open then the motor is working. 04 should be very similar to 2000 even if it’s 6th vs 7th gen Honda so I’d look at older cars if possible. I’d say wiring issue or maybe there’s a crossover switch that changes the circuit when the door is open and that one is faulty. Difficult without a wiring diagram
I have 1997 Cr-V that the switch only works for the driver door. I don’t have a keyless entry and have to use the key to unlock the driver, however before stepping out of the car I always lock with the switch. Can this just be the module that needs replacing to have all doors work?
@@rodolfolostaunau8702 Rats! I was hoping you would have done it and could give me tips! I have the same problems. . . I'm just trying to get the courage to do all the work . .. taking off the front end and splicing 22 separate tiny wires. ..
@@sobrevida157 I'm on the same boat. Luckily, doors, mirrors, and windows work which is why i'm not rushing it. look it at this way, you'll only have to do it once (hopefully lol) and it will last you a good time
@@rodolfolostaunau8702 Thanks. . . it IS 21 years old after all, and I haven't done hardly any work on it at all. In fact, last week was the first time I changed the spark plugs, wires, cap and rotor. . . I'm just afraid that, out of 30 bolts, 29 will come out fine, and the one that doesn't is crucial to everything. Anyway, this week, if it stops raining, I'm diving in!
I hope that’s my problem, I bought a 99 hatch, wanted power windows, bought an 99 Si took all the door locks and guts for power, Took the cabin harness and plugged it all in, before tearing the Si apart I tried everything and everything worked other than driver side windows so I said fuck I’ll deal with that later. Swapped everything and nothing at all. But power mirrors work perfect. Super strange, I wanted to do exactly what you did and check for connection but didn’t have a test light
Tested the switch and its ground, pretty sure it's the module you mentioned now, thanks!

Great video. Very simple and straightforward.
94 Integra is having this issue as we speak. Most likely tho motor then
Thank you !!!! Your a lifesaver !!!!
I have 97 CRV I tested the door handle switch but it didn’t light up so is it the control module or the wiring harness???

Just bought a 97 LX yesterday and has the same exact issue. Did you figure out what the problem is?
Is it possible to do this procedure with a multimeter?
Great vid! Thanks
Where can you find this on the honda CR-V 2002

@@sobrevida157 no i havent fixed it as it's not my priority, however all signs point to the door jam cables. once i do get there i will let you know
