- In this episode we get into a full-on fist-fight with a 54 Chevy Belair. This piece of rust gets some carb work, a fuel system, ignition components, and a questionably road worthy set of brakes. Can we make this old rusty pile run and drive or will we mutilate it so bad no one else can? Watch to find out!

About the 54 chevy , I think you guys should make it rode safely and daily drive it the way it looks, it took 68 years to get it looking the way it is now, I love it .
I love that old car guys put a bench seat and back seat in it get a gas tank 80 to 88 Camaro tank fix the radiator and enjoy it she run when others are down

This car has a later model powerglide 2 peed easy to rebuild just some planetaries and a band. The torquetube driveshaft, it is easy to remove the cap if you put the car up on stands on the frame so the rear end is lower then the cover will slide back and you can lower it to clear. Just did a trans job on my 54 pick up. it however is a 12 v neg ground look it up for yours. the timing with out the vacuum hooked up is 0 deg believe it or not. there are severl adjustments on the distributor get a book online. cool car.

Just know that those automatics are MONSTERS! Extremely heavy and parts are expensive! If you can find a manual from 54 that mates up with the engine and torque tube, you’re golden. If not, I’d stick with the forward speeds you have and pray that the sucker keeps working!
