Yes exactly. That's one of the reasons i didn't like the ending. Because he finally kills Light to take back the notebook, but he didn't take it back 5 years earlier when L was defeated. He kinda disappeared at that time as well, which to me tells that there wasn't much excitement for him then.

I’ve killed 124,000 people (dies) I’ll die all those times correct? (Dies) ryuk: uh yes, light after dying again: that gives me more than enough time (dies and you get the point by now)
Maybe because the King still needs to manually write every single death on the book. Writing 124.000+ times without rest is surely a challenging thing, even for King of Shinigami
I love the implications of this. The idea that Light actively has to face his actions and that it doesnt phase him once hes realized it wont stop. The fact thay he remembers without a second thought the exact number of people hes killed. The simple moment that he decides that he already conquered one world, whos to say he wont outsmart another.

I don't remember the exact episode, but when the Death Note was in possession of the Yotsuba group L said that the original Kira (Light) never killed people who commited forgivable crimes, people who regret their crimes, and something else I don't remember. I don't agree with Light but it seems he was pretty fair in his choice of who to punish. He probably did some research on them before he killed them.

Yeah but some people just act like kids, arguing which character is better or deserve to win simply based on their personal preference instead of making a fair judgement.
It may have challenged some people's thinking, but I don't think that the term "challenged" is what you're looking for. Whether Light deserved to die or not is subjective. That's all there is to it. Multiple biases will shape your judgement. There are genuinely established ideals and morals, of course, and usually within societies there is common knowledge. And a certain mindset is considered good or bad because the overwhelming majority consider it one or the other, thus "making" it that. So in this scenario, a lot of people would consider Light bad due to the established "common knowledge" amongst various societies because he's killing innocent people or people who could be changed, which is considered bad, because these people could be people that the overwhelming majority would like. And these common ideals are important to a functioning society, otherwise many would not be able to cooperate and build off our concepts. Because that's what humans do. We simplify things into our understanding so we can build off from them. But there are limits, so they're constantly expanded upon. Nothing is what you think it is. Most of the time one's opinion is based off the bubble of humanity. If Light Yagami wanted to reshape civilization into his own ideals, I personally wouldn't mind that. @@skeletor2118 True, I couldn't deny what you have wrote but you're going too far. It could have a condition to it (highly unlikely). But it would be less of a plot hole if he had a time between the deaths and that time is either 6 and a half minutes or the time between he killed those people- killed 1 person and then he killed another a day later he would have a day to live before the next death
Sometimes I wonder how much of the story would be altered if the author listened to fans. This is absolutely phenomenal. Just a little disappointed that UA-cam took so long to recommend it.
This would have been a sick plot twist, light trying to become god in the shinigami realm too would have been an excellent cliffhanger Edit: but it would feel a bit fake
It's the brilliance of Light that surprises me, you feel that too and with unexpected twists, it's amazing. No matter how small the information he gets he tries to make the most from it
The thing is though Light would never ask to be killed. He was gonna punish criminals. Thats why he didnt do the shinigami eyes deal with Ryuk. He wanted to live as long as possible.
His death in this was a little too short, maybe he was really old and his death day had come, and Ryuk writes lights name, and light accepts it since he reached his accomplishments, and he accepts his death. Everything else in this fan made is good
ThatMexicanGuy Alex rewatch episode 2 and listen to what the teacher says in the beginning of the episode. Light would probably want to kill him self since there’s nothing entertaining. After L Light was clearly bored until Near. Everything Light does is because he’s bored not because he wants to rule the world.
Anyone who lives Light's lofe would get sick of themselves eventually. No matter how right you think you are or little you fear the consequences, your consscious caughts up with you eventually
I fcking love this ending! It's all according to Light's plan. He became god of the human world and now he becomes the god of shinigami world. Having him do a 200 IQ outsmarting of his own death punishment is such a classic Light Yagami move. Kira truly is a god.
*in* *heaven:* yo, I've heard that there is a guy in the shinigami world that tries to take over the shinigami world *L:* no way, this guy never gives up huh?
I stopped watch the series after L's death. For me L is the only worthy opponent to Light. L win or not it's still ok. The series should have ended there
Personally, I think Ryuuk should've thought: "Light...you're still so very interesting." instead of calling him the best. It'd be more in character for him.
The only problem I see with this is that I could never see Light asking Ryuk to kill him. After all he avoided taking the eye deal at all costs to extend his life and his rule as a god, and I don't see him changing his mind about that. Other than that though this is kick ass
I feel like maybe that was part of his plan, you know, he always has a plan and this was his way to reach the Shinigami realm and become supreme justice among worlds
@onlyy I also think so. Besides, if he knows he has no other moves, he can do this and although, he may not be able to live as a human, he can still become a God and change the human world.
Daily reminder, Light did not die because of his ego, and not because he was overconfident, he died because Teru Mikami got outsmarted, so its 20% of Light's fault he lost, and the 80% goes to Mikami. And the only reason I give Light that 20% is because he trusted Mikami.
No. Its just a plothole that Light lost. Bro, do u really think that Light trusts someone that much?? Nope. The real Light would have a back up plan for all that already.

@@reese5455 this fanmade ending is way more better than the real one. They should have finished the show with light going to kill shinigami king. Not showing how he will do. As we all know how smart light is and he will do it. So, this was perfect ending imo
Light is the reason the police were on his ass for so long. If he never would have taken L's bait when he did the broadcast in Japan only he probably would have never died.
Not tired. Probably just bored of it. Doing the same thing for so many years can become boring. He probably just wanted to know what would happen after death. Him and Ryuk are similar in this way. Looking for any form of entertainment.
I wanted him to win so bad. Even my small brain knew that when he did his crazy laugh and nobody died that he fucked up big time and didn’t know where. This alternate ending kinda slaps. It’s not one of the views I had for an alternate ending but it’s still pretty cool

@@gamingopera4584 dn is better in suspence and twist but monster take upper edge in character develop ment but yes overall dn is better because monster is bit boring in middle episodes and monster ending is not good at all
The only fault in this ending is that even if Light somehow outlived Near, he just abruptly decided to deliberately end his life because he was sick of killing people and changing the world (which is not a characteristic trait and resolve of Yagami Light), and then, even after relinquishing his sickening past, he yet again, out of the blue, wants to change the world of the Shinigami, which is very confusing considering that he didn't want to be a God or kill people anymore. This ending would be more coherent and even true to the orginal if it would exclude Light's suicide, and begin from the actual death of Yagami Light on the day he faced Near.
He could die in old age. Imagine an ending where after L dies, there is no Near or Mellow. Light continues to use the death note, killing others for crimes, but excusing his own because he sees himself as God, an exception. He would go on until there was no more to kill, and with that, he becomes a man with a book. Nothing more and nothing less, this would definitely make him begin to wish to overturn the shinigami realm.
Maybe after knowing that he will die 124925 he felt the rush to end that pain by trading with the king or maybe again start killing people and maybe just like he became a youngster from an old man his thinking changed too. It makes sense to me at least.
I like this ending , because it’s a win-win situation, light won as he killed all his enemies , but at the same time he has to die several times making for a balanced ending
I wanted Light to become God of the New World - I think that would've been awesome. They killed off L far too early. Near was a terrible character - he felt like he was just in the story to drag on the suspense that everybody had loved between Light and L. Buuuut it didn't work out.
I can't believe how well the music suits this video, for example when light realises he won't die till he experienced all deaths, the tone of the music changed again.
Imagine if ur accused of being a criminal and ur about to be proved innocent in court when ur heart stops and somewhere within a 100 km radius some guys eyes turn red and he starts laughing 😈
@John Dela Cruz Yes. Mostly he did. But he killed officers in his way as well. Also a huge percentage of prisoners are actually innocent, which he cannot know.
Light became God as soon as he got the notebook. The main point of being a God is that nothing is wrong or right in front of a God. It is a fictional concept. So it didn't matter who so ever Light killed. His mission was to recreate the whole humanity. Other humans would have been nothing more than a cattle if L, Near and Mellow weren't there. So for the Reality concept, Light had to die but for the supreme God concept Light had to win.

[FULL STORY] When Light was casted into the Shinigami world to endure all the suffering he once caused during his lifetime, he actually brought back a bag of high quality potato chips. He will then find the King of Shinigami and give him a potato chip. The King of Shinigami will then be so overcome with delight with every single time he chews on that potato chip that he will become desperate for more, exactly as what Light has planned. Light will then propose to trade the King of Shinigami's immortality and position as King for the whole bag of potato chips, giving him a potato chip for each time the King's mind is in doubt. The King agrees. Now Light is the new King of Shinigami and the former King of Shinigami eats the entire bag of potato chips then regrets his decision right after as he dies thousands of times, ultimately suffering the pain only Light would have endured.
I personally really enjoyed this version of the ending. It really has a similar feeling to death note and I would have loved it if this was the real ending. The real ending is also pretty good storywise but it got a bitter taste to it as in the end, Light just kinda... dies and the world just continues spinning like how it was 5 years ago with no visible aftermath at all? I would have appreciated it if there were at least a bit more information about what happened after the story. Also, thanks for the likes!
But you know, that's the thing with Death Note. The ending is meant to be underwhelming because of the fact that like Near said, Light is just another serial killer, he's not a God, he's not any all-mighty being as a good chunk of that world's population thinks. It makes you realize that Light's cause was in vain because humanity cannot be cleansed just by eradicating bad people and that it was just an excuse to feed his ever-growing ego. The world continues and moves on because, in the end, while Yagami Light did make an impact on society, it would have inevitably faded away with time whether you like it or not. Death Note presents a moral dilemma and executes it perfectly while illustrating Light's descent into madness and him becoming the very thing he hated: just another criminal. That's why the ending is blank and they dont show what happened later, because nothing happened later. The world just continues moving along.

Yeah I agree with this
thats what i was thinking.. this could easily just start off from when he actually dies in the anime...
He could die in old age. Imagine an ending where after L dies, there is no Near or Mellow. Light continues to use the death note, killing others for crimes, but excusing his own because he sees himself as God, an exception. He would go on until there was no more to kill, and with that, he becomes a man with a book. Nothing more and nothing less, this would definitely make him begin to wish to overturn the shinigami realm.
should've he killed by someone or old age
Maybe after knowing that he will die 124925 he felt the rush to end that pain by trading with the king or maybe again start killing people and maybe just like he became a youngster from an old man his thinking changed too. It makes sense to me at least.

That's exactly the question in the story. Is it the right thing to kill (even some innocent people) to save many more other innocent lives?
@@ratioripbozo yes😼

When Light was casted into the Shinigami world to endure all the suffering he once caused during his lifetime, he actually brought back a bag of high quality potato chips.

@@GhostofTheUchiha22 its easy to outsmart people when everyone around you is dumb and selfish
