Rubbing alcohol is generally good for removing adhesives. Just don't leave it longer than necessary as it can and will damage paint, hair, etc.
literally did this to myself yesterday. I freaked out and slapped the tape making it 10 times worse lol

@@IShipYouNot Vegetable/peanut/coconut oil. Rub it in, it doesn't dissolve the adhesive, but it breaks the bond between hair & the tape. Got that tip from a customer service rep about 1992.

I really can't even fathom the impulse to have your hair caught in fly paper, attached to a ceiling, and think "I know, I'll take out my phone and narrate this, asking the screen or my hand what I should do"

6:54 If anyone gets caught in a fly strip, pull the strip off and coat anything sticky (hair, clothes, fur, feathers, cloth...whatever!) with flour, then rub it in circles to collect all the sticky goo into little flour balls. It's hard on small animals (our cockatiel got loose and ended up hanging from a fly strip), but it does work!

One of the first things you learn in emergency services it that you're no help to anyone if you become a victim. Then there would be multiple people needing rescue and one less to help.
