Also, if you're driving in a car and someone stops to let you cross AND it's two lanes, don't. There could be an oncoming car in the 2nd lane you can't see. I almost got in an accident that way.

Looks like she had a clog and used some seriously strong stuff. EDIT: found it! Brand is Zep, product is called Liquid Heat.
Clog "remover", usually a strong acid to break down organic materials that are often the cause of the clog. That reaction is what happens when a strong acid (or base) is dissolving hair/grease/oil/etc. You do not want it boiling like that. The splatter will start doing that same thing to you.

A dangerous chemical reaction that was probably making toxic fumes. Never use acid to clear your drains. If you do use acid please tell the plumber before he starts working on it. It has happened to me, I was pumping away on a blocked sink and the owner goes " Oh by the way I put Drano (acid) in that water" Get that acid in your eyes.

So the lady at 5:50 is using Zep Crystal Heat, which is a clog-busting product much-beloved by *professional* plumbers. I used to sell it at a company I worked for (along with lots of other Zep stuff) and it definitely busts clogs (snaking still recommended) but WOW she did not read the instructions! You wait for any standing water to settle, pour a tablespoon (no more!) down the drain *directly,* not in the sink itself, then follow up with a cup or two of *COLD* water. Then, partially cover (allowing air to escape) the drain with a bowl or something similar, so you don't splatter your whole-ass bathroom with narsty swamp-juice like the hilarious goober in the video. There, you are now ready to use Zep Crystal Heat! Congratulations, and may God have mercy on your soul.
