Too much? That is INSANE!
Insane indeed!!!! This ridiculous prices will eventually catch up these manufacturers. They better not ask from a taxpayer bailout next time. The too big to fail will not be appreciated!!!
This guy does a great job doing these reviews. Most reviews are too long and lack content deserving of that length. I like how concise and informative these reviews are.
Thank you! Very much appreciate the sentiment. I’m not sure how others make 30 minute reviews but that’s too much for me 😉.
Bingo!
Been saying that for years.
"Just Because it looks pretty doesn't mean it cant do the dirty stuff" that's what she said...
I do want to add that it was a great review as usual! Keep up the awesome work!
I absolutely love my 2019 Limited F-150 insane yes INSANE POWER
I'm paying 6 bucks a gallon up here in Canada...ouch
F-150 KING OF TRUCKS That’s nuts 😳
It’s a nice truck. A few miles per gallon better than the Ram for sure. But over all the Ram is nicer. Can’t deny the over all looks, ride and luxury. Right Mr F-150 Queen of truck?
highest in north America ...lol
F-150 KING OF TRUCKS like I said before. Ford is like McDonald’s. McDonald’s sells the most burgers but doesn’t mean they have the best burgers. 😘
I love people who tell it like it is. Once again, nice review!
Thanks!
When you are the best selling truck, you can charge that much, because there are people who will pay to have your best trim. At least this is noticeably faster than the Ram. It will win EVERY stoplight race.
But it will break down because its a Ford
@@andybub45 Chevy Troll
The Future Is Here It sure will, however most fellas who can afford and will buy this truck stopped racing from stoplights 30 years ago.
Another Great review Steve.
Thank you!
Looks very premium I must admit. Will depreciate like a stone compared to the raptor though
I think this truck will hold its value quite well in my opinion.
Wickedgmc bad take
Not for me. Crazy how much people are willing to spend on a (huge) pickup truck. Imagine the depreciation hit on this, especially as gas prices increase. Good video review. Subscribed.
Thanks, Gary. Appreciate it.
Gary Barton Depreciation is staggering for F150’s... New limited versions lose Approx $27,000 just to drive it off the lot. Look it up...it’s pitiful!
Armando Sturzenegger Hey Arnold swartzenegger ...I didn’t take it any where lol ...you’ve got google try it out!
all new cars and trucks are depreciating assets, and they all go straight down in value until they're worth nothing
Ram owner.....wasn't feeling it in 2019 fully....liked the lights from start....now i've been seeing them around town dressed up very nice like and man oh man.....i could see myself in one ☝. But the Ram Limited still got me by my nuts & bolt 🔩 & i like it....i like it a lot !!! Good video 👍
Nice review Steve, but wow, that's a lot of money.
On the subject of trucks, will you be reviewing the Jeep Gladiator soon?
Soon? Late Spring/early Summer.
Really awesome truck. I love the F-150 limited but I much preferred the blue interior from 2018.
Kent That blue interior was awesome
Brandon Blair It was so unique. The interior colors for the 2019 model are a huge downgrade.
had a 18 in the blue but the camel is way nicer for me
That interior look like my 2010 platinum interior. Ram interior is way better
Steve I have this very truck, that was a fair review. I love mine!!
Lucky man!
Great review.
Thank you, Brandon.
The MSRP is crazy but the leases on these are positively SMOKIN'.. I love the limited, I wish they'd kept the wheels from the pre-refresh truck, I'd try to find a set of those for sale, these new ones remind me of an aftermarket chrome wheel from the 90's. I'd choose either this or the platinum 5.0L or diesel, not sure. In day to day, does the limited feel quicker than the raptor?
Love my new 19 limited F-150 and there selling even before there getting on lots..I had to wait for mine because the other ones were sold already...this truck is a beast and the most luxurious truck
Congrats!
umm...it's "to" and "wait"...just saying. good thing I don't have to wait as this truck isn't for me.
thanks
Nice truck but my Nissan Navara 2017 is making 35 MPG on autobahn an 25 MPG when hauling my 3 ton boat. 4 cyl Turbodiesel and 6 speed manual transmission 💪🏻 It enough torque to eat up every hill in the alps.
That turbo engine is gonna give major issues come 150k. Not to mention all the electronics, motors and sensors that are bound to fail after 5 years due to mediocre quality control. And 15 MPG on premium?! But hey, 72 months financing! You can totally afford it!!
You really think the owner is going to keep it for that long?
People who can afford these vehicles tend to lease.
See a lot of older EcoBoost with over 200k and still running strong... u obviously don't understand engines and how they work.! Failed electronics is a gm specialty. If u want the mpg switch to eco mode, if u want to smoke any competitors hit the sport!
@@HumpDaddy01 200k hahaha gm motors still running 500k no issues
@@camclarke9952 that's some pretty wishful thinkin! Older engines maybe but gonna have problems. Newer (cylinder deactivation) not remotely possible without engine work. Not to mention the amount of other parts u would have to replace for it to make it that far!
Ford really needs to offer a smaller rim size on this model. They're already fighting an uphill battle in terms of refinement against the Ram, and 22s don't do the ride quality any favors. Like you said, the motor is its saving grace - but Ram set a new bar in the luxury truck market.
These kind of trucks make me wonder if Lincoln could get away with a new Blackwood with a Navigator interior ("yacht inspired" 30 way seats?) - Sure it sounds stupid, but ask Ford how many King Ranch/Platinum/Limited models they sell. My neighbor literally traded in his F150 Platinum for an F250 Limited just because my other neighbor bought an F250 Platinum (or at least, he bought his Limited two months after the other guy got his Platinum - some may call that a coincidence but I don't). Now is probably a better time for a stupid luxury truck than 2002 was.
Someone on here commented that it needed BIGGER rims...like 24s.
TestDriveNow Reviews by Auto Critic Steve Hammes Different strokes for different folks I suppose 🤷🏻♂️
those rims are well suited for the rubber ford puts on them, they handle nice and you don't even notice them..
Kevin It’s not the wheel size, it’s just the limit of the traditional truck suspension.
Ram has a independent rear suspension, a 5-link coil spring setup with a sway bar that lets bed move independently eliminating the effect of a unladen bed and offer a softer ride.
Add in the air suspension upgrade and you have a even nicer ride.
Plus lots of fine tuning.
Well GM still dies the Sierra , I don’t see why Ford couldn’t have Lincoln make a ultra premium variation of the F150. Makes more sense than it did before.
I would also be interested in seeing a new high performance Lighting model. I’ve never really been s big fan of chrome luxe trucks, much prefer the sporty style like what Shelby did with the F150 super snake.
@@DragonKnightX12 I'm aware of the suspension differences. That's what I implied with "already fighting an uphill battle in terms of refinement against the Ram."
Great review Steve... I dnt care what anybody says this is a damn nice truck... and them
Are sweet ho numbers .. who cares about mpg when u spending 70 k... and my opinion.. anything foreign at this magnitude if luxury’s and power... 70k wouldn’t touch it .. Ford did a nice job here
Thanks!
Anything "foreign " couldn't touch F150 just because they don't really make trucks that much. But if you want to talk about luxury and power, this F150 is farming machine when compared to some of European luxury SUVs.
You never, ever pay MSRP for a truck. You can get a Limited after discounts for $65,000 in Canada and in the US, it’s even cheaper. Pretty good deal if you ask me.
Jas S I’m trying to buy one rn, any advice on where I can find one for 65 CAD? Doesn’t seem like any crazy incentives are out as of now.
Babbu Mann where you located?
Vancouver, BC
Babbu Mann cheapest Limited at the moment is $70k. Platinum is in the lower $60s. Google “Sherwood Ford” and check out their inventory.
@@jass7981 Thanks!
Dude thats an awesome black jacket you have on, where u get it???
Geez. I'd better go back and watch so I can remember.
I hope you can get your hands on a Cadillac CT6-V.
Should be available late summer.
The main reason I would choose to go with this generation's Ford over Ram is the aluminum body. If you plan to keep it for a while then no body rust is a big plus, not to mention the weight savings.
I would liking to be finding my spouse is loving to having a new truck, but we could not get past the excessive flash of light between video segments and then there is the close up of the head lights
The CEO boss truck. For me, for $75k, I’ll take a Lincoln Aviator or Ford Expedition for that price from the Blue Oval folks.
Looking forward to the Aviator...probably this fall.
I think the Lariat 3.5 for 57k might be the way to go. But than I can't even spend that much, so I guess I will buy used, when I find the right one.
Should top out at 46k this is outrageous..! To say the least.
thats mid size prices.
You sound crazy as hell...
maybe you should buy a stripped ranger instead
For 75k it better move on "gravitational propulsion";not a piston engine like my lawn mower.!!!
love how year after year people come on vids and whine about truck prices...lmao. If you cant afford a new one there's lots of used ones ...period
the Limited looks great in Black
That tailgate reminds me of the Lincoln pick-up from a few years ago.
The Blackwood or Mark LT?
@@stevehammes Mark LT.
I can see that.
would look better in silver colored to blend in with the truck
As a current owner of a 2019 ram limited I can say that the fords powertrain is much better. Better real world fuel economy and power.
I got better mileage in the Ram 1500 with the mild hybrid system than I got here.
TestDriveNow Reviews by Auto Critic Steve Hammes odd I have the mild hybrid too and a family member has a 2016 eco boost, they average 13L/100km while I’ll be getting 15.5L/100km, both of us do the same type of driving
Lariat is a good compromise, with the 5.0 coyote of course.
at 75k its way too expensive but lets remember no one actual pays msrp for a truck
in most cases you pay more after adding all payments.
Per TrueCar on 10/17/20, a 2020 F-150 Limited 4WD with every available option: MSRP $75,635; Market Average $68,660. So the typical selling price is discounted roughly $7k from MSRP.
I don't get the modern trend of larger wheels and low profile tires on trucks.
You can literally just fully equip a lariat get almost ALL of the features, and you get 5.0 v8 soo
Definitely a great truck but I’d buy it used and let the original buyer take the hit on depreciation. An used Limited with under 20,000 miles will probably save you $25k. I guess we’ll have to wait and see what they go for once they start hitting the used market.
I think you can get a new one for around $65k. Used with about 10k miles are going for $55-60k if you can find any. And I’m talking about the 2019 Limited because it’s the only one with the Raptor engine.
You might have to wait to 2020-2021 to get $20-25k off the new 2019 price. Of course, by then new trucks will cost even more so the used ones will hold onto more value.
What I don’t get is if you’re going to spend $65k, why not splurge a bit more and get a Raptor for $72k? Raptors hold value.
So was he saying the Ram was a better value or a better truck?
Insane indeed!!!! These ridiculous prices will eventually catch up to these manufacturers. They better not ask for a taxpayer bailout next time. The too big to fail will not be appreciated!!!
Thanks!
Need this truck in Australia 🇦🇺
This truck I would live out of if had to pay 75k
Cool shoes.
L.L. Bean/NB Thanks!
You do not know what to do with your money if you spent $75 k on a pick up + a big 16 mpg
Some people have too much, I guess.
Yas! I can't wait to lose $15k driving off the lot!😆
no different than any other new car or Truck. then buy used
But that Hemi has 80 hp less than the high output V6....
True.
no its 55 less
F-150 KING OF TRUCKS - thanks for the correction.
@@76carmel but 100 more torque
I think, overall that's a really dumb question.
I make close to six figures and I can't afford this.
Reminds me of the housing market in 2006-2008.
It's crazy!
Hermosa
The truck for the Boss who does not put anything in the bed.
XLT FX4 with a Coyote V8, would be great.
can't sell the wife on a Raptor, but she's okay w/a $75k substitute; something is wrong with that picture...good thing Ms. K03 is perfectly fine w/the Raptor. And to answer you question, YES, $75k is too much, period. Hate to say it, but can't wait for $3.50/gal gas (higher in CA) to take a notch out of the truck market and bring manufacturers and dealers that rely on truck sales to learn a small lesson. So, how much do 22" truck tires go for these days? Potholes will be licking their chops... In the end, glad things are negotiable, but vehicle pricing is getting out of control.
Ha!! So true. You bring up some valid points.
$1500/month car payment and at 60 months it will be worth at most $35K
ya in 6 years
if you're that good at math maybe you should pay cash for it
Ford overprices all of their trucks because they sell so well. An equivalent Chevy would cost 10k less. Lots may fall for it, I wont, im just going to get a Chevy. Best selling does not mean the best.
22 inch wheel and still looks small....
riza erlangga Id swap them for 21’s
Their is little to no labor in making the f-150s. Every 53 seconds one is completely built by robots mostly. Crazy that they ask so much when it only takes 53 seconds to make one.
Yes insanely a lot.
Sync 3 is horrible to use. Forget the voice activation...it cannot understand half of Whats said ...steering wheel is cheap, fit and finish is terrible in the ford. I own a 19 Lariat f250 diesel and might be giving Ram HD diesel a shot come 2020. Rams interior is undeniably top notch of all brands.
then move on kid..
It's a Ford. $75,000 is insane!
selling like hotcakes ..
Sadly, the last bastion of the working people has been taken from us and turned into some family SUV...and it's pricing structure!
why are you looking at brand new pickups with every option in the top trim level?
That is ridiculous. Way too much money it’s worth half of that price
For 75k I would Rather have a v8. With the Same Hp
Nice truck! No I'm Steve Hammes
SUV?
I can afford to buy a $100,000 Maserati, but I ain't spending $75K on a truck
Maseratti is junk tho
@@jayc4715 Sure...everyone has their 'junk' list and their 'its the best list', so sure whatever you think... I'm still not spending $75,000 on a work truck and that is what trucks are for work.
@@graphguy 75k for a pick up truck is dumb
well go buy a midsize then..
No thanks.
16 MPG 😂
it's too much for people who don't have $75,000. but if you can afford it, knock yourself out.
@Myballsitchsomethingfierce but you can't drive a house. although if you're paying $75k for a house, you probably can.
Even I think it's to much money got 2b smart with ur money
Bullshit greed. They don't want to sell them. That's why all the ones you see in the parking lot that are obviously not used for a truck, are leased.
I bought a 2018 M3 competition for 75k. Nope to the truck
Take a XL and dress it up and charge 3 times more. Uuum no
Yeah Ram has a nice interior but are so much more unreliable
I've had 2 Rams and found them both to be very reliable.
@@bobcat5412 he means long term reliability.
My current Ram has been more reliable than the ford trucks I've owned in the past.
Way way too much. Truck prices have increased by 2/3rds over 20 years ago. Premium 1/2 ton trucks shouldnt cost more than 50k
then get an F-150 XL stripper
Are these trucks aimed towards office workers? Pickup trucks price have skyrocketed during the past years. Ford and many others have been adding way to much unnecessary shit.
Who in their right mind would buy this over a raptor trim level???
me screw a raptor
there selling like hot cakes ..ford make more please..lol
Overpriced shitbox you all know it to...that V6 and turbos will be a constant pain in the ass..
In terms of interior quality it's about the same as the Silverado High Country, but it's nowhere near the level of the ram. Very disappointed for that price
Accurate assessment.
Thats cheap, send me 2 please
Not worth it too much money
No thank you
this genius has a champagne taste with a beer pocketbook
Ridiculous price.
Very nice truck. But this generation of F150s are the end of their life cycle. I'd like to see what Ford is coming out with next.
Rear engine with the bed in the front? ;-)
electric. Even faster...lol
it was introduced in 2015 and refreshed in 2018, genius
Can you live in it ?
❤🚘🚘🚘🚘
IDGAF, trucks say "blue collar", so stop using words like "executive" and "black tie".
transition lenses I actually agree with you. I’m a Lexus driver but wanting a truck and struggling with just that!
CONGRADULATIONS FORD MANAGEMENT.....YOU ARE VIOLATING THE PRINCIPLE OF HENRY FORD....This Niche market has gotten way out of control....
David Mandziuk what you don’t want them being in 2019. You still want wooden wheels and something that can’t go over 45mph? Get off the drugs. Yes ford is going to change in over 110 years.
Not worth it
that's what people with no money say
It’ll never be a Denali
Hugo Lizardi That’s good because this is better.
Kent the Denali is the s class of trucks
really...lol..no one wants them. They buy Limited's
Both are nice. Our dealers can't keep the denali's or the limited out on the lot for long.
