Thanks for sharing. Just wondering why there are 2 attachments? (ie Smith.docx and Carol Smith docx). I have the same result but I only want one attachment?
I think I ran it twice
Hi Kevin, Thank you for this amazing tech/life hack. This has helped me lot to do mail merge with my work and sending attachments as PDF and personalising the subject to the email.😀
Glad it helped!
Thanks for the take through, does this apply to Outlook Ofiice 365 unlike Outlook desktop?
I am nort sure sometimes Office 365 stops the merge.
This is awesome, Kevin. How do I find the full file location to add the linked spreadsheet? My files are only showing folder level (ex. C:\Users
ame\Desktop\MAIL MERGE consultant schedules) - but I have 20 different files in that folder. I tried right clicking on each file and looking at 'properties' but it's still only showing folder level.
Not sure without seeing it
Go to properties and then 'security' tab, then that full address for the file will be there, copy that address.
Thank you very much, very easy to follow tutorial! Do you by any chance know if there is a way to keep the text in the word document as the core of the mail? If I follow your tutorial it leaves it blank, and if I simply add it in the last box as text for covering email message the formatting looks awful haha
In short I would like my word document to be the core text of the email and the attachment to simply be the pdf I selected :)
Not sure about this, maybe trying Power Automate
when i click Merge Tools, then Merge with Attachments, Word just freezes or hangs. What could be the issues because i have followed through every step.
are you using OneDrive? It may be the issue try just using a local drive
when I click on merge with attachments I get a message saying that the application is only designed to work with a letters type mail merge main document.
I have had that, Ste it to letter and see if it works, make sure you are not using OneDrive also
It’s possible to make attachment word to PDF
I think that is one of the options if you get the addIn
HOW TO BUY IT ONCE ITS TRIAL VERSION OVERS
I did not have to buy it so I don't know
I am getting an error called 91 obejct variable or with block variable not set when i click merge with attachments
I am not sure about that error, try contacting the add in provider
Love it
thanks
I have tried and tried but keep getting a file path error. Any ideas why?
ru using Office 365? Try saving to the computer not OneDrive
Im having some issues with attaching the documents as it says it has a problem with the fact its on Onedrive. Any advice greatly appreciated - Thank you very much!
It does not work with OneDrive you have to save it to your PC first
I like it, great
thanks
Amazing
Thanks
This looks like a great tool. Unfortunately, the add-in zip file appears to contain a virus.
Really, it is recommended by Microsoft
I don't have merge tools in my word
It is an add in, which you have to download
@@ITsEasyTraining1st ok without the addin I think it is not possible to attach
@@ArmanViews correct
Did you find any alternatives to adding the merge tool in word?
@@alberthernandez9833 if you look at www.xelplus.com/ she has a video on her channel which shows it
Too bad the add-in isn't free. It's a trial version with 20 uses, then requires a purchased license. ☹
well that must be new, I didn't pay for it and i have had it years
do you mind sharing or uploading ur version ?@@ITsEasyTraining1st
cool stuff
thanks
Plz share your email id..I am getting error for digital certificate invalid ...how to fix ...I need urgent help
i would not know what was causing that
When I click on "Merge with Attachments" -
I am getting an Error 91 - Object Variable or With block variable not set.
did you select letter type first
@@ITsEasyTraining1st yes I did.
I started with email message first.
Then I opened a new word document, selected "letter" type and copy pasted the text, then saved it.
@@sanketshanishchara3434 I am not sure then, ru on a mac
@@ITsEasyTraining1st nope. I am on Windows 11 with a pre-installed Office Home & Student 2021 version. And this does not have Outlook for Desktop. It has that cloud based Mail/ Outlook app. Is it possible that this kind of Office 365/ Microsoft 365 apps don't support the old mail merge??
