I always avoid award winning short films because they always suck terribly. This one I gave a chance because of the title. It's very well done and was surprisingly good.

This is so true, I love these short horror films , they are better than watching a full movie,
Well made, music and all. Unfortunately many of these movies seem to have been shot in houses for sale, as if borrowed from a real estate agent: too clean, too impersonal
To be fair, the story is quite literally about a priest moving into a new home.

Like, crap, at 4'10'' the man spews blood, at 5'30 he finds the right side of his face painted with blood...and still he treats that like a minor nuisance !

I would at least have called a doctor, who knows what kind of disease you could have ?
I thought it was a black substance, not blood, like the same ink like substance scrawled on the paper on the floor, his Bible and the doll. I took it to be a metaphor for a stain on his soul that he was trying to hide, since he wasn't completely forthcoming with the older priest. Somehow the doll is related and he understands its relevance. Unfortunately, it's relevance is still a mystery.
@@pakde8002 You're right, the scene can probably be understood on several levels. What I still regret is that a little more attention could have been put on the storyline consistence, so as we could have less impression of symbols and scary scenes barely related to each other.

@@pakde8002 Great observation and interpretation of the ink’s purpose! The doll’s purpose is merely a red herring; an homage to dolls being a stereotypical source of demonic possession in many horror films. The doll is coated in the same ink we see throughout, leading Father Stuart to assume it’s the source of the entity. It is not, as we later find out. Thanks for watching!
