I like the concept of the popular girl being 'the nice one' and the outcast being the unsuspecting villain, as it makes the story less predictable. The relationship between Belinda and her mum reminds me of the mother/daughter relationship in 'Carrie'. Good acting here too 👍🏾
Lol that’s how it really be in real life, majority of popular people are genuinely nice that’s why people like them, if you went to a school with the cliche mean girls I’m so sorry you had to go through that
It seemed that the mother transferred Belinda's soul into Mindy and while Mindy's soul was in Belinda's body they made her die in a way no one would find out what Belinda and her mother did cause Belinda probably wanted to be like Mindy and she got what she wanted in the end.
Hey everybody! I'm the writer/director of "Odd Girl" and on behalf of the team, I want to say a huge thank you to everyone that's watching! If you have any questions, send them my way and I'd be happy to answer them. Enjoy!
Hi @ I love your directing skills, well done on the film. But pls can you clear some questions for me. 1. The sound of neck breaking when the guy turned his head, was that a way to let the audience know that they have been turned too? 2. The dialogue that said the girl has been dead for over a week when the guy n all the friends saw the two girls the previous day, is that dialogue trying to tell the audience that other peoples mind was wiped off about seeing the girl the previous day? 3. The last photo that was shown n the guys had their face blurred in the picture, does it mean they have been turned too? 4. In my understanding of your story, is the girl sick n in need of a new body as time goes on n so she chooses which body she wants by befriending the person and her mother helps her by exchanging souls and then the girls old body appears dead with the other person soul in her dead body, while she keeps living in the new body? If that is it then what is the back story of the guy( the photo guys friend who had the same sound when he turned his neck) as well? 5. Or was the sound from the guys friend mean that he is also like that and he has targeted his photographer friend body, cos he was texting him constantly just as how the girl was constantly around Mindi and the picture showed his face blurred but not his friends face just as the pic he took of Mindi n the odd girl, so did he get scared after seeing the odd girls band on mindi n now he understood n knows he is being targeted just like Mindi was? Thank you *smiling *
@@ango8466 Because the faces were bled together in the last photo like mindy's and belinda's were and his friend's neck creaked in the paramedic scene when he turned to look at him, just like belinda's did.
@@fatalbreak I think that is the point their body actually died, when their neck made the cracking sound. They said that Bellinda's body was hanging there since a week. I presume Dylan has a week starting at that point.
@@purplem00n87Dylan has made the connection to identifying when something is about to happen. At this point, it's a matter of how far it has already spread. Kind of like invasion of the body snatchers. If the neck creaks, that person is already dead and taken over. They just haven't found Dylan's friend's body yet, but Dylan knows to stay away from his friend so the next step in the story would be him looking insane to everyone in the town while trying to explain what's going on and you'd likely see signs of others that had been merged.
It's straightforward plot, Belinda and jock dude are necromancers and Belinda's "mother" is their arch-necromancer or covenant leader. They keep transferring their souls into new bodies as old one keep rotting away. It's very easy to follow. Every time Belinda and jock dude turn around their neck snaps because they are entering rigor mortis, as they are inhabiting dead bodies. That's why every time we see Belinda, she is more pale and has darker eye-bags, because she's rotting away, and it's the reason why she transfers her soul to Mindy (!?). The jock dude already knows her, you can see two of them exchange looks at the very beginning of the movie, despite Belinda supposedly being new transfer to the school. During the dinner scene with mother, Belinda doesn't eat anything, because she doesn't really need food. The photos are just visual clue for audience to show that their souls are being displaced, because Mindy and Dylan were being marked.
So I’m thinking while Belinda transferred over to Mindy that the same night the photographer’s friend killed himself as well and was back to start his own transfer process. The reason is that he was blowing up the photographer’s phone so much, like he was in crisis. Neck snap definitely made it clear he was already dead though. Hell, he could have been murdered. That’s my take on the end. This was amazing!
This was an interesting film. I think it has some room for interpretation. The odd girl Belinda is lonely and reaching out. I think her soul is lonely and is seeking vessesls she can inhabit which would make her feel less lonely. I don't Belinda hated Mindi but rather wanted to be her. So she solicits her mother to help in a soul transfer. This is extremely creepy. How many times has the mother helped in this type of cycle? We don't know and are left to ponder the mothers motivation and if she can even see her daughter's soul anymore. There is something supernatural occurring which brings the horror in spades. Why Dylan is the next target is not obvious. Maybe it is to terrify him into silence or madness as a revenge for him being another one who saw Belinda as odd. That's my interpretation. The location of a real school was perfect and the teen performers were believable High School students. It was also a good use of photography in the plot. Overall it was a good melding of how we treat others and a horror element of revenge and power. congratulations to Rami Kahlon, cast and crew. Best of success. to you all. Peace.
If you noticed throughout the film, every time Belinda would turn her head you’d hear bone cracking, like her body is rotting. Added from the fact that it looked like her body was decomposing from beginning to when “she” committed suicide. It seems like she’s a demon or undead soul who needs to actively switch bodies in order to avoid complete decomposition. Another note, looks like his friend at 10:20 is also possessed by a demon of some sort. Instead of comforting him as a friend, instead he’s completely dismissive of what happened, AND his bones were cracking just like Belindas. Just my two cents, loved the film!
Have to agree with being lonely - I thought just a demon but why be so down and out if your a demon you’d be more slick lol she seems to have a lost soul - never finding where she belongs and though still can be a demon souls taking over a body - explains why the guy is one when his neck creeks unless that’s the mom and she also tranfered? I wish we Had more Of the story or even a prequel - this was really fun to Debate in my head and many awesome ideas Posted for sure
Ha I fully understand that one, as a young girl I used to read IT Stephen During the day on my breaks, but come night time out by myself in the batch built onto garage with loud metal door that was awful in the wind, I would read the old Catherine Cookson romance novels lol
Belinda and Dylan's friend both were dead and wanted to switch their body with someone else, that's why evertime they moved their neck there was a cracking sound 3:1910:27
Yep! Each time they steal a body, the new body dies (its rightful soul being ripped out and all), and they have to immediately find the next body to jump to. That’s why Belinda looked like she had been dead awhile.
man, i really wish you could turn your short movies into real blockbusters! i think based on how well these do, that the full movies with be through the roof!
Thank you so much Elissa for the comment! We generally don't produce these short films, rather we curate and work with the filmmakers to host their work so as many people can watch them as possible. We would love to see Rami Kahlon make a feature or series from "Odd Girl". Be sure to follow her socials listed in the description above to keep up with her creative endeavors. Thanks for watching!
I wished that too but after some of them being turned into a movie I regretted it. some of them are not as good as this short films and in some way ruined it for me
@@learninghowto101 Aint that the truth? The point of the channel is to get great films in under the standard Hollywood time of 1h 40m. These horror shorts get straight to the heart of the matter. That's why I watch and to be pleasantly surprised! Many of these are way better than Hollywood formulaic productions.
This is awesome because if Hollywood tried to make this into a full-length movie it wouldn’t turn out as well but with only about 10-15 minutes you can get the point across in a way that viewers have to use clues and infer certain plotpoints
It was English in reverse. It’s actually a benediction. My pronunciation slipped a bit in filming, as it was all a bit intense! The only thing I can remember off the top of my head is “slewoahs rouah” which is “our souls”.
It was refreshing to see how the “weird outcast” actually ending up being exactly what people expected her to be and judged her for. It’s almost ALWAYS the other way around. They OFTEN make the pretty girl into a vapid and conceited “mean girl” (or they will make her misunderstood and not actually mean like her friends) but when it comes to the weird girl, she is ALWAYS considered to be misunderstood and actually a beautiful person inside and out with a simple makeover by removing her glasses and ponytail like they did on “Not Another Teen Movie” as a spoof from “She’s All That” and it was freaking hilarious! If y’all have never seen NATM then you HAVE TO. It stars a lot of amazing cast members but the two main stars (Chris Evans whose jock character is a spoof from Varsity Blues and She’s All That, and the lead female actress is the incredible Chyler Leigh from Grey’s Anatomy and Supergirl whose character is mostly spoofing from She’s All That) are just incredible and I was impressed by how funny Chyler was considering how this film was one of her very first roles!
Well that’s a good thing about this movie was different but the funny thing is her I keep saying that is a Twitter nice twist bubble and I’m like hold on in real life usually the problem people are usually conceited and mean it’s very rare how the weird girl in our girl out is actually the main one usually the popular one is me not all the time though I was never popular in school but I did have some friends that were somewhat popular and that’s why I made easy for people not to make fun of me so no I know not all of them are mean at all and they still got the soda for me but for the most part those movies that you’re talking about is usually what happens
@@jasminehouston-burns1691 i think theres been this weird idolization of quiet “weird” lkids because now they can spin themselves as the “good guys” and the populars as “bad guys” and appeal to a mass audience, but, and dont get me wrong popular kids can be hella mean for no reason, in reality the quiet kids can be genuinely weird and creepily vindictive asf (especially to women too, in my experience lol)
I love how our perspectives switch from showing empathy to the shy outcast, to rooting for the weirded out popular girl. I love all of your refreshing original ideas and how professionally directed and acted out they are. Great job @ALTER !!!
I really love how we can see the fact that Belinda is wearing a red bracelet around her wrist in the start, then showing ‘Mindi’ who has the red bracelet which means she like swapped bodies, hella cool
At the beginning of the short, the real Belinda is already dead. The Belinda we see is the spirit that needs a new body every 7 days. The Belinda we see has a change of personality that is more outgoing and confident because the spirit wants Mindy's body. The lady in the house is not Belinda's mom. She is just a medium who plays the role of a parent to whomever the spirit is possessing in a certain week. And this week is Belinda and next week is Mindy. And perhaps in a few weeks the spirit will move out from the school and move into a different community.
I think the mother figure had a duaghter who died. and perforated the spirit realm and stole some sort of jin who takes on the form of children. and it manipulated the mother into luring hosts to it.
I want to know who makes these short films who directs them who writes their script everything is so on point. these films are better than any horror movie I watch for 2 hours
Each film has a different director, I think the info is in the description. They're not made by Alter per se, I've seen that some of these films were crowdfunded.
This really ends on a cliffhanger, with Dylan tipped off to what really happened to Mindy, and aware that his own best friend has been running a parallel body snatching scam on him. After Belinda's body is found, his friend, who only ever disparaged "Belinda," while she was up and about, suggests she should be respected, but in the same conversation asks what the dead body looked like. This suggests that he harbored a more sincere disrespect for Mindy, who was the actual occupant of that corpse. It seems that accepting a ride home can lead to a dinner invitation, which is how the witch gains direct access to the victims, and that once things get this far their will is too eroded to resist the person taking control of them. Dylan has accepted rides home but not dinner invitations, but he can see in his photographs that what happened to Mindy is happening to him. It doesn't seem like his friend knows he's caught on, though, since he's still texting him relentlessly wanting to hang out more, spend as much time together as possible, etc. So where does he go from there? Does he tell his body snatcher that he's a stupid loser and that he doesn't know why he ever liked hanging out with him, severing their friendship so the switch can't happen? Does he string him along for awhile so his body will decay and rot, but refuse to escalate their friendship or share car rides anywhere until he's too weak to find a new mark? What happens if he invites the guy to an isolated location and then just uses violence? For a short horror, I found this story really interesting and elegant. It left me wanting more, and really understanding Dylan's fear at the story's end.
My take is that as soon as the body is snatched by the invading soul, it is dead. Then it’s immediately time to find the next body. That’s why the bone snapping occurs, rigor morris is setting in.
I absolutely love these short films!!! They get right to the point...no dragging on for 30 minutes like in long films, then you get a little bread crumb!!
Great short. We've all been the "odd one" in one way or another. Sometimes it's how we fit in where we are and sometimes it's other people's interpretation of us.
You need to watch this film more than once, so many things I didn’t notice first time round. The way Belinda and the Jock guy look at each other right at the start, it’s clear they know each other
This is probably one of my favorite films of this channel. So much interpretation and thought can be put into this. I feel like Belinda is trying to get revenge. She's definitely a tortured soul and the bullying probably made her want revenge
I swear horror film shorts are my guilty pleasure I love to watch in bed on a cold rainy night before sleeping, even though it’s terrible for my eyes and circadian rhythm 😭😭
Cooool! Wish it was longer My first thought was that the mother was a cultist or satanist that summoned a demon, trapped a host - her own daughter - and through a ritual the demon assumed her appearance while it consumed her soul, then they got Mindy to be its new host. The red thread made me think of how the Fates seal our...Well, fates. When their neck cracks really loudly just by making a normal movement, it means they're screwed. So I think she was sealing Mindy's fate and then the weaving continues with Dylan and so on. I think maybe the blurred Dylan in the pics means that the demon has already latched on, maybe through the threads, and is already consuming his soul. I don't know what significance the pink hair tie could have, maybe it's just another signal that whatever was in Belinda had now transferred to Mindy, but the demon only fiddles with it once - when Belinda is waiting for Mindy to walk by. That's what I came up with but I gotta say it has holes like swiss cheese. I like reading other people's interpretations in this channel so feel free to share
I really like this one ^_^ I appreciate the twist at the end being something that's sorta 'familiar' but at the same time feels right and likely to the plot. Well-done!
A ALTER short walks in the notification ; my thoughts:- great story , great acting, a message ....altogether this channel makes me fall in love with each short......happy to be an ALTERIAN
Probably one of the more believable scenarios with the "odd" girl. Hollywood always goes too in your face, right out mean, this felt way more realistic and it really made the whole film work. Great job.
I literally found this channel last night snd have binged ever since. The directing is amazing and the writing is amazing. These deserve a bigger platform!

The “bro” type friend really brought down the juvenille’s energy in the police raid scene He was so well spoken and immersed himself deeply while trying to keep in touch with the given circumstances, bravo dude
Damn... I was having a really interesting and thoughtful conversation with someone about writing styles and it appears as though Alter deleted the initial comment because the person said (very respectfully and with good reason) that they didn't like the video...
I feel if they don't then don't watch. Really. Because it is what it is. They're shorts. But I enjoy them. I do wish that some were longer. I still enjoy watching. Just grateful that Alter is a stepping stone for some. It's great!🤗🤗
I liked it but I feel like a lot doesn't make sense right off the bat. How and when was the friend possessed, and by who? How did he suddenly realise the darker girl was possessed? If Belinda's soul left her body, how did she commit suicide?
I love films with Lovecraftian themes. This one reminds me of HPL's story "The Thing on the Doorstep" where an ancient evil wizard possesses the bodies of unwary human hosts. Y'all should totally adapt one of Lovecraft's stories. I'd pay to see that
Sooo she swapped bodies with the other girl. You can see in the picture that there was a merge happening between the two girls, kinda like a link to the soul swap, I guess.... But the dude though? Is there another body swapping happening? 🤔
Goshh, please make a movie on this plot or idea, this is something else, loved it. We need concepts like this more. I like the actors I mean they really look like teenagers, not like the other movies with matured and adult actors who played the teenagers roles.
Bravo! 👏🏻 this movie was well done through and through! The photographer boy saw the photo with the bracelet at the end but he didn’t see the photo that showed what will happen next to him. My theory is that the photographer boy’s “best friend” has the same intentions as Belinda and will soon transfer his soul into the photographer boy’s body.
@@garygergel436 I know what you mean, when you say that the movie is pretty confusing. I agree 💯! I had to watch it a few times and really pay attention to every single detail to come up with the theory and as I saw, some of the other commenters think similarly. The role of the mother is maybe that her daughter (Belinda) somehow died and she couldn’t cope, so she started to transfer her into other bodies or they both are witches and want to be “young” for ever?.?. In my opinion, this movie is somehow similar to the skeleton key movie or the body snatchers (if you watched it). As mentioned before, maybe there are a few of these families in the town to do this because they want to live for ever... (maybe they made a deal with a demon or ???) As you said, there is the lack of explanation of what really is happening and who else is involved and why are they doing this. I totally understand. We all have different tastes and preferences and if you didn’t like the script you totally have the right to criticism as long as it’s constructive (which your totally is) and not hateful. And I’ve watched a lot of short movies, that don’t explain themselves but they leave it open to the audience’s interpretation. The writer/director herself said that but she also wrote (in her comment here) that if anyone has any questions about the plot, don’t hesitate to ask and she’ll try to answer every question but she’s going to wait a little longer to explain the movie because it just recently aired and she doesn’t want to spoil it for the future viewers. Have a great day/night and stay healthy! ✌🏻👍🏻
Short horror films like this one are not actually short for me as I have to read comments & watch the video again 2-3 times to understand. But even after that I can't stop myself watching short horror films. 😂😂😂.
Also I was so curious if Drama teacher had connection to the girls mother when she said "A lot can change in a day. The city needs a new coroner though. Said she'd been there at least a week" I took it at first that meant the girl was found in photo lab at least a week so I interpreted that he discovered something in dark magic timeframe as he discovered body same day...but now maybe it's more literal and they meant the girl was at morgue at least a week?
The coroner declared the girl's body had been dead for a week in the closet, which made the drama teacher think they were no good at their job seeing as she and the students had seen the girl "alive" that day, and thus leading the boy to figuring out the girl had been dead the whole time. The teacher was just a teacher.
@@Raiya_ru17 No, I think she's dead at that point. Her personality didn't change throughout the video, although by the fact she asks the other students if she could have lunch with them in the middle of the school year (as opposed to the beginning of the year, when kids tend to make new friends) suggests she was normally alone, and her asking them was out of character. She asked in order to get close to a potential host (the brown haired girl), not to make friends.
man even if belinda Is the antagonist of the film, the way she's treated by the rest of the school hit so close to home it still made me sad to watch 😔
Great work! Horror and creepiness never gets old for me. Well done. So, Belinda is dead, for a week, but seen in school. Belinda’s soul is transferred to the popular girl (I forget her name) and is acting like Belinda and wearing her bracelet. Is this correct? What I’m not sure about is the last frame when he’s looking at the picture.
And didn’t the drama teacher that mentioned she had been there for a week just see Belinda a day ago along with all the other students? She acted like she hadn’t so that was confusing. Were they implying that the boy was dead too since his picture was blurred like the other two girls? Yea I didn’t get what he was looking at either since he already knew Belinda was in the pics.
@@bish_puddin yes the teacher said that “a lot can change in a day” when she was talking to the boy about finding Belinda…. And she also said “we need a new coroner though, they said her body was their first at least a week.” Basically she is saying Belinda could only be dead a day bc she saw her . His picture was blurred like mindys was… so like the same thing was gonna happen to go as whatever did to mindy which is why he’s freaking out at the end
This is like along the same key points as Skeleton Key but totally different. Fantastically done. It took me a minute to realize what freaked him out about the wave so I went back and I was like "oh the bracelet! Damn!"
@@twelvemonths_ You know because of your comment I came back and watched again. I am not sure if I got these other little details the first time but now I am like, damn, this short is so well executed (haha, no pun intended) that like the 10:27 mark that is a huge indicator to the same sound with the Belinda talking to her mom at the beginning. I know I said it reminds me of the skeleton key but there is literally a skeleton key shown in this. And then the crows swooping in right after the guy says " Maybe she brainwashed her. Form to Belinda Call where the only rule is you have to look like you are hiding something" and at the exact same second where the other girl replies "at all times". I feel like there is one more thing I meant to mention and I haven't. I have to watch again maybe. I don't know. I just think this movie has excellent placement.
My brain is smashing in on itself trying to understand the ending. Helppp Wait. Wait. The jock guy is dead just like Belinda. He's coming for the photography guy's body now. And the wheels keep on turnin... Is jock guy from Belinda's family? Are there just random souls around town seeking new bodies?
I will try and type what I understood. Belinda and that friend were not human since the start, what I got from the story was that Belinda was some sort of undead/demon who needed to actively switch bodies in order to stay alive and her mother was the one performing these rituals in a way to keep her daughter alive who must have been dead since idk when, the friend is doing the same thing apparent form cracking of their bones and the look they gave each other in the beginning. It was such a well made short film!!
There was such tension between Belinda and Dylan’s friend during the first scene…sibling rivalry? During the dinner scene with Belinda and her mother, there was a third chair the camera made sure to highlight. 🤔
I believe it is his friend who is also possessed by a demon of some sort. Instead of comforting him as a friend, instead he’s completely dismissive of what happened, AND his bones were cracking just like Belindas at the end of their conversation at 10:20.
okay so notice how the 1st reply said that the jocks bones cracked just like belindas ALSO check how they look at eachother 0:33 the jock is obviously dead but who is it coming to get?
They are not ghosts, they are necromancers\witches who keep transferring their souls into new hosts so they can keep on living. That's why Belinda looks more like corpse every time we see her, and her and jock's neck snap every time they turn around. "Mother" is their covenant leader who performs the rituals. The teacher mentions that "city news coroner" most likely because there was lot of dead in city in short period of time, most likely because necromancers are killing them. If you watch dinner scene, "Belinda" doesn't eat anything, because she's dead and doesn't need actually need food. If you watch beginning of the movie, jock and Belinda exchange looks and jock is surprised to see her, implying they already know each other, despite Belinda supposedly being new transfer student.
Thanks! I actually recorded myself saying something, then tried to exactly mimic what it sounded like played in reverse. At home, I could get it pretty close, but on the day, with all the chaos and emotion and intention in the scene, my pronunciation slipped a bit. That’s live, though.
one thing pls keep in mind that dont ever ever try to bully or tease or harm to a odd or weird looking girl or boy !!! otherwise u will definitly regeret about it later!!! becarefull !stay safe
As a girl who has similar facial features, hairline, and lack of popularity as Belinda (and many other similar characters in this genre) I guess I should start questioning whether I'm a witch and/or already dead? Well fuck.
Beautifully done. Excellent acting, too! I thought one of the actors was a little off, but everything got tied up nicely at the end - and without beating people over the head with why that person was "off". Good job!
So his best friend is in on it too. Now when you rewatch it, you understand the exchanges of looks between Belinda and the best friend. Especially you see their exchange of looks at the locker scene in the beginning, then the scene after Belinda says ‘it’s in progress’
It's ok, but, correct me if I am wrong, it kind of gives wrong message "don't hang out with socially awkward people". Also, if someone "invites" you to dinner in that manner "I already said you will be there I don't care about your plans", you have a total right to refuse to attend. It's just rude to assume someone will show up on your dinner before you even asked. I know it's just a movie but still, it bothers me. I would never accept such rude invitation.
Watch again at 0:33 what the guy says. And I would say the movie has the warning, you can hang out with people who are strange or are bullying, but don't get soaked up by them. Then like, as a kid and teen I had wrong boundaries in high school (still having, because why do I tell that to the internet) leading to friends who helped set them. Since every kid, teen and young adult has to learn that, the school with many people in it is still the best horrible place to learn how to get along with others, who don't know better also. They aren't full grown up adults. Some learning progress will be in lately adulthood, when looking back, like now.

Its impossible to get that, especially when the film doesn't explain any of it, nor does it hint on it.
@@MrsJasmyn45 Did you watch the movie? It pretty much spells out everything.

Nevermind. Saw it now. Damn, they be like Necromancers for sure.
the problem with these short films is that they are short, they are amazing and deserve a lot more
So I’m thinking while Belinda transferred over to Mindy that the same night the photographer’s friend killed himself as well and was back to start his own transfer process. The reason is that he was blowing up the photographer’s phone so much, like he was in crisis. Neck snap definitely made it clear he was already dead though. Hell, he could have been murdered. That’s my take on the end. This was amazing!

Neck snap? I think I missed that.
Best of success. to you all.

Belinda ain't normal. That girl is dark & sinister.
Thank you I didnt understand it but now I do
If you noticed throughout the film, every time Belinda would turn her head you’d hear bone cracking, like her body is rotting.
I think Dylan's friend is gonna do the same to him, since he's also a... dead... spirit... thing.
Yep! Each time they steal a body, the new body dies (its rightful soul being ripped out and all), and they have to immediately find the next body to jump to. That’s why Belinda looked like she had been dead awhile.
That makes sense since her plate was empty at the dinner table and her statement about life after death in the drama class
That's the problem of not setting boundaries and not saying no when you are uncomfortable, you might end up getting GTA-ed like Mindy.

They OFTEN make the pretty girl into a vapid and conceited “mean girl” (or they will make her misunderstood and not actually mean like her friends) but when it comes to the weird girl, she is ALWAYS considered to be misunderstood and actually a beautiful person inside and out with a simple makeover by removing her glasses and ponytail like they did on “Not Another Teen Movie” as a spoof from
“She’s All That” and it was freaking hilarious!
Most of the time the weird one is just judged because they might be a bit awkward though

And perhaps in a few weeks the spirit will move out from the school and move into a different community.
thanks for clearing that up lol I was so confused
I think the mother figure had a duaghter who died. and perforated the spirit realm and stole some sort of jin who takes on the form of children. and it manipulated the mother into luring hosts to it.

Thanks for clearing the ending up ❤
I absolutely love these short films!!! They get right to the point...no dragging on for 30 minutes like in long films, then you get a little bread crumb!!

Cooool! Wish it was longer
My first thought was that the mother was a cultist or satanist that summoned a demon, trapped a host - her own daughter - and through a ritual the demon assumed her appearance while it consumed her soul, then they got Mindy to be its new host.

(maybe they made a deal with a demon or ???)
As you said, there is the lack of explanation of what really is happening and who else is involved and why are they doing this.

@@J.J.Jameson_of_Daily_Bugle THANK YOU!!!!
I love the part with the spellcasting. Was her voice edited or just some on point acting? Belinda and her mom are body snatchers.
Thanks! I actually recorded myself saying something, then tried to exactly mimic what it sounded like played in reverse. At home, I could get it pretty close, but on the day, with all the chaos and emotion and intention in the scene, my pronunciation slipped a bit. That’s live, though.
@jacqainsworth i’d play the audio backwards out of curiosity but damn, shit got a bro scared now!
one thing pls keep in mind that dont ever ever try to bully or tease or harm to a odd or weird looking girl or boy !!! otherwise u will definitly regeret about it later!!! becarefull !stay safe
3 am horror short rabbit hole anyone?
It’s literally 2:30 am for me right now 😂
As a girl who has similar facial features, hairline, and lack of popularity as Belinda (and many other similar characters in this genre) I guess I should start questioning whether I'm a witch and/or already dead? Well fuck.
Beautifully done. Excellent acting, too! I thought one of the actors was a little off, but everything got tied up nicely at the end - and without beating people over the head with why that person was "off". Good job!
Cool concept! The bleeding photograph element is a really nice touch. I enjoyed this short film 👍
Loved it! Brings me back to high school when this happened to me.
Aww man
Never happened to me
When did you’re neck start snapping?
Just before I took over this body….
@@sweetstevie I’m so jelly..
If only I had that power..:(
Is there anyone notice alter channel post more and more awesome shorts lately?! I can’t wait see more, good job!
This was awesome 👌 the quality of acting, especially from the photographer lad, was great! Loved the film, thank you
So his best friend is in on it too.
Now when you rewatch it, you understand the exchanges of looks between Belinda and the best friend.
Especially you see their exchange of looks at the locker scene in the beginning, then the scene after Belinda says ‘it’s in progress’
Really enjoyed this one - different! Not the same boring high school type slasher horror we see so often - Awesome job
moral of the story: don't be nice to weird girls
It’s 2024 guys I’m from the future and the world is the same and boring relying on horror stories to give us some excitement and trills😂
@@orcajorca7215 thanks, I didn't notice that. It bugged me a little because I was that weird kud once but I wasn't dangerous 😊
can relate.
Good proof of concept, wouldn't mind seeing it developed into a feature.
Alter has some really good short stories, some should really be turned into full movies
the boy is the next target...very good :)
