Diptyque will always have a special place in my heart because they were the first niche house I ever explored (I blind bought Philosykos because I was new to the hobby and foolish, but thankfully, I love it). Their quality is amazing, their prices are reasonable, and the packaging is exquisite. I appreciate how refined their scents are, and how most of them smell like nature.
@@shamirdorsey5024 I usually wear it to work and I can still smell it after 8 hours floating around me, that’s with a couple of sprays on the wrist and neck. Keeping in mind I work in an office, so not a lot of movement from me throughout the day. Great office scent.

Just smelled benjoin boheme in their boutique after working through some of the darker fragrances in the lineup. I fell in love with it. Going back to buy it tomorrow and excited to have the original bottle before it switches.
I think Vetyverio is magic. Diptyque's vetiver to me smells bright like sunbeams on a forest floor. It also works great as a base for honey fragrances.
My favorite fragrance is one they only make in edt and it has no staying power so I totally agree. But tam dao I always have and phyloskos I always have. They last a long time on me
Just buy the ones with the heavy base notes if you want staying power, tempo, tam dao, oud Palao etc. I get maybe 2 hours light projection and 5-6 hours of silage with these. Stays a skin scent 10hrs plus. I agree theyre on the lighter side though
@@95ern I believe that 90% of their offerings are incredibly great perfumery. The most smooth and well blended fragrances eve to my noser. But again, they became for self enjoyment for short amount of time and that's it for me. People to smell me and enjoy what I'm enjoying, no, unfortunately.
I tested these fragrances about 2 or 3 years ago at the very beginning of my fragrance journey. I remember liking about 6 of them, and of those I preferred the Edp concentration. I do remember 34 Boulevard St. Germain being my favourite. I need to revisit them though, to see if my nose has changed in anyway, and maybe add one or 2 to my collection.

Im a fan of diptyque, cant go wrong with this brand :) they have a very good offering in most fragrance categories. I love their french, almost boderline synthetic but high quality feeling which makes them similarly elegant as chanel fragrances but more daring.
Thank you for doing this deep dive. I just came across Diptyque as they have a store in Grand Central Station in NY. I have a sample of L'eau Papier if you like me to send it out let me know. I am not sure I can describe it the way you can as my journey has just begun but here we go. As H24 tried to take us down the clean linen shirt alley this has a cleaniness and light incese to it. I imagine myself in an ancient chinese house burning incences and doing Hanzi with fresh linen writing paper. Looking forward to your review.
I love Dyptique, the bottles and the packaging are great with the unique designs. I have 5 of the EDPs, I think Volutes is my favourite. Vetyverio is beautifully light, and Orpheon is soapy and aromatic. Thanks for this video! 🙏 😊

Eau Capitale ❤❤❤❤. I smelled it because I was told it was exceptionally similar to Frederick Malles “Portrait Of A Lady” (which I’ve never smelled.) It’s is sooooo 🌹😍🌹🥰🌹😘🌹😊 beautiful of a fragrance. While in store I smelled many from this house. Definitely a quiet giant no one talks about.
I always think of the candle in Sex and the City when I think of Diptyque ha! Even the packaging of Diptyque brings me back to the early 2000’s. I still haven’t gotten my nose on Do Son; as a white floral lover, it sounds beautiful!
This week I got a sample of vetyverio edt and edp.. and I actually preferred the edt.. it was much more nuanced. The edp was just big vetiver.. I have several edps makes me want to sample all the edts
I really love how fresh all of their fragrances are! I visited one of their stores in NYC a few weeks ago and fell in love with the Do Son EDT and got a bottle. Of the EDP I really enjoyed Orpheon so they gave me a sample of that as well as a sample of L'eau Papier. I really enjoy L'eau Papier and look forward to getting a full bottle of that some day. Very curious to hear your thoughts on it when it drops.

I was able to snag one from the Atlanta store. The bottle is truly stunning. It's probably not the best time to wear this at the moment as the weather is starting to get warmer here in the south, but I'll be ready once fall comes knocking. A shout out to the Atlanta Diptyque store - the folks there were so knowledgeable and I had a blast sniffing and conversing with them about some of the older, less talked about fragrances. 🙂

First time i hear you say that youve gotten bored of quite a few fragrances -- which i think says a lot. I tried Diptyque scents in their stores...and for some reason they smelled a little too weak and uninspired compared to when I sampled Byredo. I'm using Byredo Eleventh Hour now and I'm really loving it.
Love this house! I have over 10 full sized bottles! Can’t wait for their new fragrance L’Eau Papier!! It’s supposed to smell like paper which excites me, because to me, Tam Dao smells like pencil shavings!
I prefer tam dao in the edt concentration I often overlook it in my collection and then when I eventually come around to it I always think I need to wear this more. It lasts a good while on me and people always seem to like it. My favorite of them all would be Tempo it’s amazing.

My favorites are Orphéon and Fleur de Peau. I bought Fleur de Peau because Orphéon was out of stock. If I finish this one I’ll definitely go back to Orphéon. The performance of FDP is mediocre on me. Orphéon has a little more sharpness which I prefer. I also like 34 Boulevard. I have the EDT. That one is a no brainer and works for every occasion.

Being a little crazy today 😜 #1 Don Son ( I want the new LE bottle, a sucker for a good presentation ) I have the LE turquoise bottle in both sizes. #2 Fleur de peau, I have a travel size only but just love it! P.S. I did find a pretty good dupe for Don Son though. PHLORA by Fleur is pretty spot on. Curious to see what you think, if you have put your nose to this one in the newly rebranded house.🙂
I just got my first bottle of Herod by Parfums De Marly and no one told me that the cap can be used as a weapon. I wonder if the bottle will become dangerously top heavy the more I use it.
What do you think of using Diptyque room sprays as perfumes? They smell like perfumes, last long, and are relatively cheap since they come in big bottles. I'm aware they market Eau Plurielle as both perfume and room spray and I wonder if it's a good idea to do the same with their regular room sprays? I'm particularly interested in Fleur d'oranger - it reminds me so much of Jo Malone's Orange Blossom. At the store, I tried the room spray on my clothes and the sillage and longevity were incredible!
Went to a dinner party recently with my wife at one of her friends houses and in the almost unused bathroom was a burning Diptyque candle. I knew then that my wife's friend was bougy to be able to burn one of those candles with such abandon
Sebastian my mom has phylosikos in the EDT I love the smell but at least to me it smells a bit to feminine for me to want to wear it frequently all though I have snuck a few sprays when I go to visit . How does the EDP compare in that respect. I know I feel more comfortable wearing Eau duelle in its edp form for the same reason.

In korea, Lombre Dan Leau is known to be worn when rainy! Within the perfume lovers community, it is a famous go to perfume for rainy weather. 😆
Every time I wear Orpheon I get a compliment. I went into LV the other week and my consultant said I smelt better than any of their fragrances 😂

You need to try Orpheon! It’s one of the strongest fragrances in my collection. I would even compare it to Baccarat Rouge , performance-wise .

Just bought two today, Tam and Dulle - I think they're called.
I have always loved Phylosikos and O Freesia. I only have the EDT’s and I feel that is the natural concentration of this house.
For me Do Son is the best. So many people raved about Eau Duelle and I just hated it when I smelled it so I didn't bother putting it to skin.
For me it’s the opposite, Do Son reminds me of toilet spray 😅

I love their numerous candles and frangrances. Very natural and affordable smells. A downside is maybe the lacklustre longevity.
