In this video we take a look at the Adidas Crazy 8, formerly known as the KB8, Kobe’s first ever signature shoe.
Cushion and comfort are pretty decent for a shoe that originally came out in the late 90s. Traction gets a pass, durability is fine for outdoor use, and remember to size down for the best fit. Heel slippage and lockdown are the main concerns. Best Adidas Kobe? I think so!

The topmost cable is meant to be used as an eyelet. If you use it, your heel lockdown should become perfect.
I think this year’s release looks even better than the OG - might cop that orange one!
Tommy, there is a top eyelet on the shoe - it’s the silver band. I also swapped the insole with a Nike/NB running Ortholite and then added my own cushioned orthotic. Got more cushioning and fits perfectly!

I got these pair last sept 1 (initial release here in Ph)
And yes it is true you have to go half size or 1 size down :)
And for me, crazy 8's way better than other adidas kobe shoes that they re-released
I went true to size with mine. It's was a good fit. Lockdown was very good. You actually have one more lace outlet, which is the strap that goes all the way to the back of the shoe. You can insert your shoe laces there :)

I recently got this pair for $64.99 for work. Put some Move insoles in them and I love it. I haven’t word Adidas in years and I like the Feet You Wear Tech. I have the other two original color ways coming that I got for a steep discount as well. I like the style and the feel.

Wanted to reward him for his effort and get him something $200 usd or below. What is your TOP choice? Traction, comfort, and weight are his priorities. The grey loop on top is the extra eyelet that's how I lace them too I also don't like huge bunny ears 😂

The checked board strap is actually an extra eyelet… just have to use the string tip to get it open..

Adidas sizing is usually all over the place
I went with a half size bigger, because I have to insert an orthotic. My Stance hoop socks are slightly thick, so the half size bigger helps. 🤝🏿
I won a purple/yellow guy old colorway, i found at a footlocker in H.S. $30 bucks in the back in a clearance box.
Also owned an original black/white colorway, and and red/black colorway when we we're shutting down the rec center in college!!!

I went true to size with Harden Vol. 7. Try them on in store if you can 😃 To me this shoe fits full size down.
Hi Tommy, you mention about the extra eyelet things. I think you can use the top straps on both sides of your shoes ankle area as a eyelet. Just let the shoelace go through the straps.

@tommyliu4 there is one more set of eyelets fir the laces at the top brother. Right above the second last eyelet at the top, it’s flat band instead of a hole

Try using the top straps as eyelets, that will take up the extra length of the laces and improve lockdown

There is another lace eyelet that is connected to the heel straps, so technically you didn't lace it to the top.
You didn’t used the last lace tabs , if you use it the lockdown is actually pretty good

I tried these on, and there was too much room above my foot for these to lock down properly. I wanted to hoop in these.
Yeah same experience for me. If not for the lack of a secure lockdown I’d love to put these in my rotation.

What?! I had to upsize a whole size. I usually wear a 12 but had to get a 13 because they ran super small.
Interesting! Are you in the US? I’m starting to think if it had anything to do with pairs made in different places - cause that’s a huge difference in sizing with the CAD label pairs.

Same. I’m a size 9 but my toe hit the top of the toe box with these. I returned them and went half size up and it’s much better. Definitely Go half size or full size up on these.

@@jonathanlai942 In the simplest term: much easier to use. Good traction, durability, bounciness - no pinching or minor discomfort from the upper materials. Both are great shoes though!
