The 14s are so much cleaner and rockable with jeans .. these joints we did not wear at all .. everyone wanted or had the 14s back in the day

One of my best friends has the original Crazy 1s in all silver-grey, he said they are the most comfortable shoes he's owned. Sometimes newer isn't better, I guess.

Multiple chips actually...Wore this model the whole 3-peat..debut in '99playoffs...00s finals (actual year they werr in stores)...then in '01..switched back to these in the Finals after wearing KobeTwo all year
I used to play in the OG Kobe 1 back in 2000 and they feel great. The materials and construction is great. The synthetic upper is soft. The only issue really is ventilation.
The current Crazy 1 are really really terrible.
The materials are diff on these. They are much stiffer than the older ones. Even the ones who came out around 2006 had much softer material.
the materials were completely different. instead of that fake plastic it was actual leather.
Are they better than the Top 10 2000s or crazy 8s?
idk why Adidas won’t do a restomod of this. Imagine if it had Boost, Lightstrike, or just bounce. Would make the shoes comfort way better at least cushion wise.
The OG was great imo. Don't need the boost but boost is great
I HAD the OG silver colorway, last year accidentally kicked a chair while walking past it and the toe cap crumbled like a cookie 😭
Curious to see a restomod of this, boost heel and lightstrike forefoot, and updated softer materials

i just bought a pair of these as a joke, but also as a huge Kobe fan.
im hooping later these week, and cant wait to try these, but im also so sketched because ive been wearing these in the house just kinda breaking them in and goddamn these feel terrible lol.
this review is 100% accurate, and idk how the hell Kobe ever played in these either. these feel like boxes on my feet, just making me feel so stiff and restricted, and the the top laces dig into my feet/ ankle whenever i lean foward (which happens with every step).
i hope it dont feel this bad once i put them into full motion on the court, but so far as im just mimicking basketball moves in the house and shooting with an invisible ball, these are the worse hoop shoes ive ever played in lol.

Kobe Bryant rocked in these shoes. He made it look good. If you're a good ball player, it shouldn't be a problem. You'll look good in these too. Focus on the game, the shoes and accessories will follow. You can use it for casual too, if its uncomfortable for you. The crazys did sell like hot cakes. Enjoy the shoes for those who brought it and create your own style. Play hard.

I wear em casually and well... they okay...
Not the most comfortable shoe but also not as uncomfortable as for example an Air Jordan 1 or Nike Dunk...
Fr they are not that comfortable I tried playing in them and my feet were killing me after 5 minutes I had to switch my shoes

My 2000 and 2006 retros with the adiprene were much better. Laces and materials were better. Not the best hoop shoe but way better back then. Even the material smell is so different.
