Yes he is a rascal! I would not have done that! When I mentioned it was happy sap, he started nibbling, and I thought I better find out if it was dangerous! Well he has a sweet tooth! Love Carolyn
Thank you, I will! When Jack started nibbling the morning before, when I told him it was happy sap! Thought I would search out if poisonous! Told him not too! You can see how that worked for me! Hard to use gloves ! Just never got into the habit! Lemon Juice cleaned them up nicely Love Carolyn
Thanks for visit and comment! I think they are very hardy plants! and not any work involved, spends all spring summer and fall in the yard! in the shady area! East Side Love Carolyn
Lots of interesting information. I have had my yellow cymbidiums outside for years. (Sydney Australia). I had to spray some oil and pyrethrum to get rid of a bunch of greedy ants going up and down on the leaves. OK now and the buds are coming out with a few little globules but looking good and ready to flower. The flowers are more a traditional orchid shape.
You, two - 😂! Great information, Carolyn. I have heard of this, but haven’t seen it, yet. I love that you do your research and share! The flowers are exquisite! Have a happy day!
Thanks for visiting Even though it has become so Large! have to bring it in and enjoy it every day! Than it will be outside, with it's leaves decorating the yard! Love Carolyn
Thanks Sometimes you just get a hardy plant and even though, not a lot of attention payed to it, it rewards with many flowers. Some places they grow outside all year round! Can you Imaginable Love Carolyn
I know! I wish they did too! Wish we could get dendrobiums too. We seldom leave Salmon Arm, as do not want to leave Mom on her own too long! Enjoy the Sunny afternoons! Love Carolyn
Me neither, we were having breakfast the morning before, and he asked what it was, and the name sounded sweet so he is a bit mischievous and started nibbling, I said it might not be good for him, that is why I searched out if it was poisonous LOL Love Carolyn
Jack started nibbling on it, and he has a sweet tooth! Thought I would check into it. so as long as it is from natural plant happenings, good !! Yes best to clean it up gently so not to damage leaves. If from bug poo that are eating the natural sap and damaging plant (not so good) than they excrete on the leaves sticky stuff (that is Bad)!!! Yuk Luckily it was not that as Jack was snacking on it. LOL They call the men that go around cleaning the septic tanks, Honey Doo collectors LOL Love Carolyn

Hi Carolyn, I found my sanservian plants when they had produced flowers had the same droplets as well.
It is interesting, and Jack should not be nibbling!!! Can't control him though LOL Love Carolyn
Beautiful flowers, may have to get one, not sure about eating the happy sap though.

Bought it at a garage sale, and had no idea, at the time, what it would look like! It has a beautiful smell too! Love Carolyn
my swiss cheese plant will make a drop at tip of leaves if too much water, so i don't do that
Interesting! I used to wonder Why the cactus did that too, not sure if too much water causes it or just Spring! Love Carolyn
Very interesting video
When I had that I thought it was not a good sign and what I do I put some lightly soapy water and wipe with tissue
