Is it okay to plug the AC adapters outside with rain/snow? I used a coupler with a recepticle where my outside spotlight is. Its plugged in and works great. But what about weather. Do these Ac adapters need to be indoors?

We keep getting a failure to connect to the device whenever we try to install our mobile devices, iPhone or iPad. Tried all methods, scan Qr code, automatic scan, and manually typed in device id. How do you reset the device?

And let's say I need to connect the ethernet cable to 4 cameras, and there is only 1 ethernet cable slot in the NVR, how and where do I connect the other 3 ethernet cables?? And ... let's I want a camera to be installed outside at home entrance, while the NVR is setup in the basement or living room, I would need need very long power cables as well as the ethernet cables ....right ???

It would be same installations just have to add anchors like shown in video. For vinyl if there is wood under you would not need anchors, so it would be same.good luck

What about if you're no good with technology etc and can't fit a hard drive and don't want to fit a hard I just want to 1 to check see who's at my door because I have a lot of delivery people just leaving my deliveries chucked on the floor and I live in quite a busy area, is there any other ways I can do this if so I'd be very grateful many thanks Hazel 😀

you can use vga or hdmi cables for a tv or monitor that is to watch it live via the dvr box. the important thing is to connect it to the internet using a Ethernet cable. and then you will be able to watch it on the computer or mobile device.

bought a Canavis 8 channel wireless camera system and had 2 cameras that were bad and sent for replacement cameras they have arrived will they plug and play and update with the 6 that are in place now? or will i need to change the IP Address for the new cameras to fit in the open slots can you advise or Help

+Neal Wofford once you re start system they should automatically detect all cameras. Just reboot system.

I don't get it. So there has to be a outlet near each camera I mean how does it get its power. Isn't that more expensive having outlets put in near each camera versus just running wires

Katya, it is wireless communication only (the images sent to the PVR to be viewed and/or recorded), but it needs electricity for the cameras to work.
@@carlbelken4478 I don't think that is what Katya meant with her question. No matter how good the batteries are, you will need to replace/recharge them sometime. She probably saw the wires and wanted an explanation. Have you noticed she did not reply to any of our comments. That means she got the response she was looking for.

Have you tried switching power supplies around. would suggest disconnecting them and reconecting them again. Then doing a reboot on the system.

That depends on your NVR box, 4ch NVR can only support 4 cameras and 8ch NVR can support up to 8 cameras.

It's automatic, you can left click either single view 1 or 4 or the amount depending on camera.

I purchased my cameras about 14 months ago and still working fine. How do I change the default SSID/Password in my NVR system and which Wifi Channel it should be on? Do I change it to my router wifi name signal and password in place of the default settings? In red states, "According local law choose Wifi Channel. Modify SSID/Password need re-Match." Any assistance is truly appreciated!
Right click to enter NVR menu--System Setup--System--User
Click “Modify” on the bottom right of interface.Enter new password in column of “New Password” and “Confirm password”,
click “Save”, then changing NVR password is done.
What about the Wifi Settings for SSID/Password and Wifi Channel? I have a Linksys Router AC5000.
this information is for the cameras signal, you dont need to change it. changing them may cause your cameras to not have signal meaning no image. thinking that cameras are marketed to be sold for all around the world. it can be understood that it can be a generalized way to comply with different countries regulations. the important thing is that they are working correctly.

She can use same login information as your self that will not interfere. you can only add one user per device on the app. But multiple people can watch using same login

Installed it myself without any issues. The wifi signal is great even ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxE_D_sddGAdiVUKp7PkkmyxO7bRtgqmk5 when the router is located far away. I really enjoy the night vision feature that allows me to see clearly any activity near our house (mostly cars and wild animals). The motion detection is helpful to me as well to monitor what happens on our front.

Why even use the word wireless in all the descriptions of "wireless" camera's? just saying every where we go we see wireless but all installations show wires going to the camera. what's wireless about this system or any other system that says it's wireless?
EDIT: Just look for wire-free if you don't want any wires. wireless means wires and wire-free means no wires.

How to connect it to the router that's on the other side of the room? Dvr is connected to smart tv, can you somehow forward the wifi signal from the tv to the nvr router? Or is there any remote ethernet cables?

You just need to connect NVR to router the cameras don't need to be close to the NVR you only need the TV for initial setup then it does not need to be connected you can watch it on mobile or tablet or pc. We don't have a TV or monitor connected to it we watch everything on mobile.
