I own the 2016 S-Works venge,I was astounded at how I was able to propel myself on that machine on a test ride so I cleaned out one of my bank accounts and bought it.The 2019 looks to be even better and I'm sure with each passing year Specialized will continue to improve 'perfection'.
Ben your reviews are superb. I always value your input and honest commentary. Thanks! As for the bike - really glad they decided to add some flexibility to the front cockpit. Not only it enables the rider to make some stem length/angle changes but also it will make life significantly easier when travelling with the bike - monocockpit looks dope but this one is not bad either. Stealthy. I like it :) Cheers!
Its funny how Specialized revealed this new bike 1 day after Cannondale announced the new System-Six. I think that was all clearly planned and it worked, because yesterday I wanted the System-Six, and today I want the new Venge !
Venge Vias disc owner here, call me crazy but I'm glad I did not buy this bike 20 months ago. I think I'll wait for the newer generation of Venge which should be out in 2 years from now. I think it will be perfect!
While I'll never throw a leg over a road bike due to the whole death from behind thing, I still watch all your roadie videos from start to finish.... Love the channel.
Definitely the best of the new bunch only thing lacking is the paint finish, much prefer a glossy look finish, as they tend to age so much better. One for the heart, head says canyon Aeroad.
let me say this - disc brakes are made for gravel/cx bikes and .........aero bikes!!!!! I mean they look so much cooler with them then with those integrated rim brakes
Rode this for a weekend and my butt just kept going back to the tarmac sl6 rim.. Disc brakes on a road bike are a drag... Heated pads rubbing after a few fats descents kill the disc argument for me
Hi. I would really apprecciate your advise. I own a 2017 Trek Madone 9.8 and I want to change to disc brakes. I value comfort and aesthetics and my two candidates are the new Trek Madone slr or the the beautifull looking Specialized Venge, both with the new etap group set. Thank you for your time and congratulaciones for your vídeo. Great Job. Isaac from Spain
My exact point. The pricing of road bikes recently is at an unobtainable level for most, particularly if they expect consumers to upgrade their bikes every few years when the brands decide to push yet another new standard.
All marketing / social engineering. Apple was the groundbreaker, hey let's see if we can get people to spend 1k on a phone. Everyone else is following suit. Fitness + gear setup + tires(?) is probably 90+ percent of the battle with fitness making up most. I'll keep my money and give to charity before these greedy pay no taxes corporations.
I'd chuckle to see how many rich people buy top of the range bikes to collect dust. I think most people are happy with value-oriented bikes specced with Shimano 105/Ultegra with a lower spec carbon layup/aluminum frame.
Really torn between a Venge Pro disc or a Tarmac Pro disc. I already have a Tarmac S-works SL6 and I love her. I can use some advice. I am a sprinter kind of guy but I also like to climb.
Hi Ben, thank you for this nice review here. How would compare this new venge to the scott foil you used to ride ? I own myself a 2014 foil and I'm quite tempted to change it either for a new scott foil or this new venge. What do you think about it ?
I guess that someone at Specialized finally came into sense and told the designers to ditch al the proprietary BS and come up with something more user friendly in the real world
Is there a cover that hides the housing running underneath the stem? I'm not a fan of Specialized, but this is a proper Aero bike. Aero bikes should have completely hidden hoses and cables(are you reading this, Canyon?), so hydro brakes and electronic gears are the only way to go. The downtube and seat tube should be full teardrop (much less turbulent than NACA) but of course the UCI has stupid outdated rules.
every one saying this bike is 7,1 kg... that is with or without pedals? i guess without pedals...hence with DA pedals goes to 7,35.... then peter sagans comes back weighting 7,46kilos... as per GCN with computer and pioneer power meter, but with roval 50s... you dont know what to think! I got the Venge Vias.. disaster... 7.8Kg with the lowest KG setup..
Is it just me or are they (Specialized) now competing the Venge against the Tarmac? A more comfortable and lighter Venge, why would anyone buy a Tarmac? At the same price points at least.
MetalMattila I agree with this. The specialized shop owner at the shop I go to said he sold his venge because it was really stiff and uncomfortable and he said the tarmac is just a smoother ride. I've never rode a venges so I can't personally say.
I love road bikes but lately it's become a complete con, carbon bikes are really nice to have but not essential, Dura Ace group set's are nice but again not essential. I own two bikes, one carbon one Aluminium the carbon is a Specialized diverge comp 2018 recently bought in January the second is a Dolan Aluminium frame with Shimano Tiagra group set. The Specialized i have changed the bottom bracket bearings twice and is currently under going a service costing me over £260 this does not include new bearings or bottom bracker apparently,. The Dolan i have riden for 4 years IN TORRENTIAL RAIN without service, apart from cleaning the chain and cranks now and again is running like a dream not one creak in the BB. Carbon bikes are a massive con
4:27 That was a magician like move
#GOALS!

original Venge or Vias?
@@domenicpronesti8413 Vias-hot bike.
Got one.
Love it.
Swapped bottom bracket for a Hambini.
Now the bike is perfect.
Good job, BikeRadar. This cool bike deserves cool reviewer like Ben! 👍🏼👍🏼
Ben rides the hottest bike on the market right now, barely cracks a smile. Sounds about right.
Best presenter you guys have! Great video
Great objective review. Reviewing without bias is refreshing. Factual information... Good work!
Ben,
You have the best review on this bike then all the other people that is talking about it. you have more details about the bike.
Thank you
Ben your reviews are superb. I always value your input and honest commentary. Thanks!

As always, thanks for the honest and insightful review (even though you had limited time on the machine) Ben! Look forward to the longer term review!
Great article very informative. The S-Works Venge is one Beautifully simple Fast Bike.
One of the best bike right now on the market!!
Its funny how Specialized revealed this new bike 1 day after Cannondale announced the new System-Six. I think that was all clearly planned and it worked, because yesterday I wanted the System-Six, and today I want the new Venge !
Want both but still will never get one ;)
Both the Venge, System Six, the new BMC and Willier have very similar frames...
Interesting to see how the fluoro shoe/sock combo makes such a difference in visibility compared to other riders in the group.
"...the bike wanted to go faster than I did..." 😮👌✊
That was pretty gangster. I don't think I'd have the ability to unzip my jacket and stuff it into the back pocket while riding 😀
Here I am.. Still riding the old Rim Vias and awaiting an upgrade... Was thinking the Tarmac Sl6, then this dropped..
Venge Vias disc owner here, call me crazy but I'm glad I did not buy this bike 20 months ago. I think I'll wait for the newer generation of Venge which should be out in 2 years from now. I think it will be perfect!
Thank you for the video - amazing bike and I believe most beautiful one from Specialized range :)
Great review of the already discontinued Venge, the best review I have seen so far. Why? Because of Mr. Delaney.
While I'll never throw a leg over a road bike due to the whole death from behind thing, I still watch all your roadie videos from start to finish.... Love the channel.

I personally prefer the look of rim brakes
Great review. What about comfort compared to the SL6 disc?
Any chance that you will test ride the new cannondale systemsix aero bike ?
Rode this for a weekend and my butt just kept going back to the tarmac sl6 rim.. Disc brakes on a road bike are a drag... Heated pads rubbing after a few fats descents kill the disc argument for me

Very nice bike. I still give it to the Trek Madone 2019.
All these new aero bike as now getting into the price category of motorbikes. How many people are dropping over 7K GBP on a new bike?
you could buy used yamaha r1 for that price

Aero bikes aren’t directed at the average consumer
Now that you’ve experienced the ride of this new Venge and the old venge vias. Which will you prefer to ride?
This or the new 2021 BMC Teamachine SLR01? Yeah I know one's a race bike and one's an aero bike. But damn they are both awesome rides!
WELL DONE PERIOD!
Really torn between a Venge Pro disc or a Tarmac Pro disc. I already have a Tarmac S-works SL6 and I love her. I can use some advice. I am a sprinter kind of guy but I also like to climb.
Nice video! What part of the world were you filming in, in particular the road footage in the video?
Hi Ben, thank you for this nice review here. How would compare this new venge to the scott foil you used to ride ? I own myself a 2014 foil and I'm quite tempted to change it either for a new scott foil or this new venge. What do you think about it ?
W SPECIALIZED, THE BEST
Bike looks good. I’m pretty sure it will ride well too. The rest is just marketing blurb.
I guess that someone at Specialized finally came into sense and told the designers to ditch al the proprietary BS and come up with something more user friendly in the real world
Great review, as always.
Do you guys prefer trek Madone or this bike
First time ever I decided to safe money to buy something I cannot afford now.
My Dream Bike....🤗
How do people ride on such high saddle heights compared to the bars? Are there legs just abnormally long?
How does this compare to the new Cervélo S5?
Ey Man review the Cannondale SystemSix,I wanna know if it's better that the Specialized Overpriced bike. Good job reviewing
the lower cost version of this is basically the tarmac
Is there a cover that hides the housing running underneath the stem? I'm not a fan of Specialized, but this is a proper Aero bike. Excellent information as ALWAYS!!
Had to sub of course.:-) :-)
I'm sure glad the did away with that bulging stem and stuck to cleaner lines for this venge. I'm not a fan of electronic only though.
Can you not use sram etap hydro with this bike? I would wonder why if you can not
can you say if you like the venge more than the new Madone or the other way round ?
I have the same issue, I want to sell my 2017 Madone and not shore if I should buy the new slr or the venge? Any advice?
Will Sagan still insist on the Zipp Sprint SL stem for this bike ?
Andy Saiden Specialized have promised us he won't. Whether that was his choice or Spec's, the world may never know.
Ok ok ok, but which is your own bike? Like your personal bike that you bought?
Venge vs SystemSix?
System 6. More build (mechanical & electronic component options, and price points.
And now we have the new BMC
And the Giant Propel 2019
All these frames (System Six, BMC, Venge and Propel) came from the Willier design...
I’ll take both. Yeah, that’s it.
every one saying this bike is 7,1 kg... that is with or without pedals? i guess without pedals...hence with DA pedals goes to 7,35.... then peter sagans comes back weighting 7,46kilos... as per GCN with computer and pioneer power meter, but with roval 50s... you dont know what to think! Ben, initial thoughts on this vs the 3T Strada?
Which tyre size were you using?
Specialized have a slightly different sizing for tyres in that it goes like 22,24,26mm and so forth, I think. But most likely it's either 24 or 26mm.
Seeing they were on some sketchy roads in Colorado, probably s works turbo cottons, 700c x 26
That's my next gear 😁
So this must be an "aero light" race bike ... because we surely don't have enough different categories of bikes yet! :)
Nice review
Looks like a 1/2 and 1/2 combination of a Tarmac and a Madone
Nice review.
Venge life
Can I have one?
nice . but if I had the money to buy I would also have the money for a custom paint job .
why don't they sell blanks . ready to paint
Simon cause that way it’s impossible to cover the imperfection during carbon gluing process
WOW!!!!
I'm still a bit skeptical of this new bike being equally as aero as the previous model.
I prefer Venge Vias!!! Looks better!!!
Is it just me or are they (Specialized) now competing the Venge against the Tarmac? A more comfortable and lighter Venge, why would anyone buy a Tarmac? At the same price points at least.

this guy is paid by Specialized, if you follow all his high end bike reviews, it is so obvious
Another aero bike that looks like the Canyon Aeroad at a much higher price. Great!
all that marketing and they can't wrap the bars correctly...
It's not the new Cannondale....
Losing Ben Delaney is a major loss to bike radar
I think you are related to Barack Obama, you certainly sound the same

Funny. Sounds like he really doesn't want to be doing these videos. Awesome bike tho.
Sexy presenter and sexy ass bike....well played Bike Radar
Just another internally routed nightmare.
I never understand faster bike concept. Lighter is probably faster but tweaking few degrees on the frame and claiming it is faster kinda strange.
very hard to watch this reviewer
