- It took more than four years to create the S-Works Venge, and the result is the fastest bike we’ve ever made. Getting here took dedicating ourselves to redefining the shape, structure, and theory of speed, which led us to building our own Win Tunnel during its development. We exhausted engineers and aerodynamicists as we tested hundreds of prototypes. The payoff, however, is that every element of the bike is painstakingly constructed to be faster. The zero-drag brakes, the Aerofly ViAS cockpit, and the Rider-First Engineered™ frameset-they all work in harmony to ensure that the Venge is not only the fastest road bike in the world, but also the best handling, best feeling bike on the road.

When I discovered it through the dealer, I was alone already enchanted by the sight! I could not resist easy, therefore, the seller would have to give up this gem immediately to me! If I control exposure in the saddle, I feel like in heaven! The bike is really amazing! You make with your work real dreams come true! I can momenant not Imagine what you could do even better here! But I'm sure that will come to you in the future again something!

Wow, just looks amazing! When i first saw a photo of it, my immediate tought was "This looks realy freaking fast". Props to the r&d and the engineering team at Specialized!
Funny Sagan once switched to this bike mid race on a descent and a flat finish but still didn't catch up. I'm starting to think where the Venge is being placed. The old Venge was sort of the "do it all" aero bike where a lot of the pros actually rode these stage by stage. With this new bike, it seems like all the pros are on the Tarmac now. It's probably because of those brakes and proprietary bars that keep them and the mechanics from using these.
I think the bars look awesome!
Specialized is the best company and creator of bicycles mainly because they think about the aerodynamics. I really admire all the people who work there because every day they struggle to make better their work and their cycles.

what's the time savings over the previous venge? is it too negligible that you're comparing it with tarmac?

Actually I think the fact that they have their own wind tunnel is a huge confidence booster in how fast they claim the bike is. Having the resource of a wind tunnel whenever you want it - without having to worry about the cost of operation - is a huge benefit. I would imagine that the Specialized guys have spent pretty much every day smashing through wind tunnel tests. Wind tunnel time costs about 1000 dollars an hour. That adds up when you're doing 1000 hours/year in the tunnel.
***** nah, they can dictate whatever figures they choose to release. We can only confirm all of these claims once an independent test is made (most probably tour magazine). If you are selling your product, you would only want to show the good side and not the ugly side right?
I actually own a 2018 Venge Vias Di2/Disc and it's not a simple job if you want to change a headset bearing, so I pity the person who bought the Venge Vias in rim brake + mechanical shifting version.

You can see this as a copy already ex China, nice frame but you gotta have the goods to push it to get any cred and results over a run of the mill 3k carbon Sworks.
When you say this bike is 120 seconds faster than the Tarmac over 40k, I want to know what the terrain is like on that 40k?
I've the McLaren and they also said the same about it in fact they said the McLaren was too fast to be approved by The UCI. I can tell that whether wind against or with!! I spend the same kw and it feels good. I don't think I'd ever ride a faster bike than my Sworks venge McLaren

you'd think though axles would be more aero and add some stiffness. Still love it
What about the handlebar shape at the drops?
If you made the back edge slightly sharper, wouldnt it reduce separation?
What about the bar tape cap, another shape other than the conventional flat cap would be better too.

So many hours of thinking by your engineers, and the result is this cable routing for mechanical deraillers???! So many curves for a mechanical inner/outer cable from the shifter to derailler.. How often you think it would be changed so it would keep changing gears well for more than 6 months! I could talk for the mindblowing assembly complexity of the bar/stem/headset for another paragraph also..!
If you want to purchase this bike prefer an ELECTRONIC GEARING (if you don't want be slaughtered by your mechanic..)

I love the durable Giant bikes than cannondale, merida, s-work even the cervolo. Its not just about being a few second faster, its about being in a good shape after falls, minor accidents and when handled by any other friend. Plus cost effective.

S-works are unimaginably pricey. I have a Roubaix and the next upgrade will probably cost me thousands. Not even remotely fair for a student who is happen to be passionate about cycling.
then get a cheap bike. these bikes are for marginal gain in professional level. it's not gonna make much difference to you if you get affordable aluminium bike.
Aluminium bike? Why would I go from a 10r carbon fact Roubaix bike to an Aluminium bike? I do not understand what do you mean by cheap. 13,000$ for an S-works Roubaix is very pricey indeed. We will see if they will drop their prices down in 2 weeks when the 2017 series debut.

make some homies and try to get some banging deals. One of my local shops is willing to give me a 2010 roubiax complete for 500$ in excellent condition with free maintenance and tune up. I might have lost my bike in a very shitty way and they were very understanding. I'm trying to hop on the deal super quick hahaha
I ride aluminum and high end carbon. And I'll choose the aluminum 90% of the time on training rides. Aluminum has really closed the gap between carbon. It's not what it use to be 10 years ago. If the bike fits, you don't need high end shit. I've seen dedicated riders on cheap--almost Walmart quality $500 bikes beat riders on $2000 bikes.
The difference is marginal. Choose your parts right and you can make an alloy frame compete well against any carbon bike.
Specialized just created a new hashtag directed at itself. #Slamthatbar. Damn those handlebars are hideous. Remove -17 deg stem config and use a -7 deg config with sweet lookin zipp vuka or speshes barmac. Bet it would be faster because the rider would be motivated to ride faster with that sweet kit instead of a Brompton handlebar on a venge.
