    For me it's Alpha skincare. Great glycolic acid products and very affordable. The body creams are heaven. They are on the strong side, so they are for people with experience particularly for the facial products. I think they've started formulating products with lower percentages now. I was turned on to the brand 20 years ago by my friend who's a dermatologist (they changed their name since then to Alpha It used to be alpha hydrox). She gave me samples, and I was hooked! Great product, great price, no unneeded ingredients and no fragrance. Edit to add- PC 4% BHA and PC BHA body lotion. I've purchased them well over a dozen times.

    I’ve repurchased the ordinary 20% aha bha red mask peel. I rarely use it on my face. Sometimes I will in the summer, but my feet are the best thing using that for! Loving this “only” series from you!
    I just have one exfoliant I use right now, since I’m new to tretinoin. I love the Inkey List PHA toner! Cheap, effective, and my skin can tolerate it. I’ll consider a mandelic acid once my skin is feeling a bit more robust.

  • @SaReLaMo
    @SaReLaMo Рік тому +4

    Mandelic acid is great for those who can't tolerate BHA. Mandelic is the only oil-soluble AHA that has the same effects as BHA, but much gentler. Also anti-inflammatory and so on.
    My most repurchased exfoliant.. hmm.. It must be a Swedish brand called BeautyAct 2% BHA + 1% zinc. I also like the NAAP from NIOD. CeraVe blemish control serum and wash is really good and I will buy them again. Especially the wash!

    Hi Sarah there are only three I repurchase. Many years ago I used other things, but in the last several years my three of choice are:
    the paula's choice calm 1% BHA - this is the original and not the newly reformulated btw. I struggle to use 2%BHA on my face/neck/chest and this 1% works really well for me. It clears my pores without flaring my rosacea and is a really good gentle option.
    the 5% mandelic toner by wishtrend (as shown) - this is my AHA of choice and works well for me used once a week as part of my weekly facial.
    the cosrx refreshing ABC toner - a newer find, but this is my daily exfoliant of choice. It's super gentle and the only exfoliating product I've ever managed to use on a daily basis. It has a small amount of AHA and a BHA gentle derivative, but used daily my pores are kept clear and my texture has improved. it's also super hydrating as many K beauty toners are and just works for my skin. i'm aware it's a gentle option, but my skin needs gentle. I use this every morning.
    I've tried the GandG calm exfoliant shown and like it but it's expensive by comparison to these mentioned. I used to use the inkey list PHA toner, but prefer the mandelic acid toner so moved on from that a long time ago. My hyper sensitive, rosacea and eczema prone skin is really tricky to use exfoliants on, but the three mentioned work well for me. Best wishes.

    I like the Paula’s Choice Calm 1% BHA lotion for prevention, the Paula’s Choice 9% BHA for my chin which usually has some closed comedones…that is the only product that really fixes them. I really like the Paula’s Choice 8% AHA leave-on gel but I find it gets in my super-sensitive ocular rosacea eyes overnight, so now I’m using the super strong Paula’s Choice AHA/BHA rinse off peel weekly instead. I don’t think the results are as good.
    I love The Ordinary’s 5% lactic acid. Going to try the 10% when the November sale drops, want to get those collagen-building effects!
    And I like Amlactin on my body!

    I was bummed when they lowered the DE from 12% to 10%. It is noticeable, which is a shame because I liked having AHA and BHA in one product. I’m working through it then going to give TO lactic a acid a try next. I have been using the wishtrend as a morning cleanse before Vitamin C and am so-so on it. TBH, the lifetime repurchase exfoliant award probably goes to Stridex . . .
