You are right. A divorce where both partners "are grown ups" would make for a good divorce. The problem is that if they were "both grown ups", they probably wouldnt need a divorce in the first place. Very few women can be "grown up" enough to simply walk away from their marriage and allow the man to be free. If he was faithful to her, didnt cheat on her, and didnt abandon her, he deserves to be as free from her as she wants to be from him. I have found, however, that a woman who will walk away from a man who was faithful to her is probably not going to be "grown up" enough to simply walk away and let him be free. She will soak him for as much money as she can get, and if there are kids involved, she will use them to further enslave him to support her instead of simply allowing him to be a real father and take care of them the way he has a right to. For these and many other reasons, "good" divorces are as rare as a woman with good sense.
