1:21 with RAV4 from 2006 to 2012 with the 4cyl, you gotta watch out for oil burning and vvti gear issues. Make sure when you buy it, the seller has a record of these two things being done. Alternatively, get a RAV4 with a v6 and you don’t have to worry about oil burning.
@@timetowakeup6302 everything original bro, she took multiple trips to New York from Florida in that car. It was insane. Google the 2006 Honda that hit a million miles with the original engine. I know someone who blew the motor with only 36 thousand miles. The dealership screwed her. Just outside the warranty period. Had to buy a new one. Wondering if that motor was truly bad
@0:21 - that does not surprise me for a Honda. My 2003 Honda Accord had almost 500,000 original miles on her before it was totaled in an accident. Someone in Dallas rear-ended her pretty bad.

Agreed :/ but consumers in America wanted batter gas mileage 🤷🏼♂️ so that’s sadly what we got. Plus American politicians freak out about climate change
Not just Honda, about every new American vehicle is made like a pos now because of liberals stupidly strict regulations and restrictions of vehicle emissions.
That’s why I bought my 2020 Civic Sport Sedan with the 2.0 naturally aspirated port injected motor and manual transmission. That k20c2 motor is bulletproof, and doesn’t have the problems the direct injection turbo 1.5 motors have.
My 2013 Scion Xb has 390412 miles on it and it still runs great! I wish i could post a screenshot of my fuel and milage records to prove it! 2.4 L gas engine, cvt trans, i love my Scion. I bought it 7/2017 with 58,000 miles (off lease. ) I put all the miles on it working as a courier. 😀😎
I almost bought one back when I was in college. If I would have done that I’d probably still be driving it. Instead I was stupid and a friend talked me into a VW that had thousands of dollars worth of electrical problems and sold it sadly. And then I bought an Infiniti after that. Fun car but I didn’t learn. Now I’ve been driving a Subaru for the past 190,000 miles and it’s still going. Next car will be a Honda or Toyota for sure.
I can vouch for Honda's small service engines. I am talking about small 4-stroke engines. They are unrivaled. When buying a piece of equipment, I gladly pay a few dollars extra to get a Honda engine. I have never been disappointed.
I had an EX 300 4-wheeler. 2003 maybe ? Anyways I beat the piss out of that thing and never used the clutch unless switching to reverse. Ran like a champ. Traded it for a car. Transmission went a week or so later
Hey Scotty, there is a white 2007 CRV named Lorraine who got to the million mile mark with only timely maintenance. The owner travels the state of Kentucky for his living. Scotty, You are a gift to the internet and by definition, everything that is good about this new age of information, a shining light. Thank you and blessings to you!
I had a 2003 Buick Century that I bought new. After 15 years at 230,000 miles it got totalled in a rear end collision. I had no serious issues with it before then. I wonder how much longer it would have ran if it wasn't for the collision.
@@cvega359cv agreed, I always change the oil in my 03 Camry every 4k miles with Mobile 1 Full Synthetic, it has 210k miles and I put about 50k miles a year on it, oil is cheap compared to another car !
My first car was a 1999 civic Si bought in 2002. It was heavily abused and didn't last 100k. Teenagers. Second car was a 1998 4 cyl accord coupe with 140k bought for $4k in '05. Drove it to 270k and sold it for $1500, 5 years later. Now I'm on a 05 ridgeline with 260k. It's comfortable, handles like a car, and I'm not looking for a replacement.
2004 Honda Accord 2.4 with 280k miles. Those K24s are great. All you have to do is change the oil. I’m sure it’s time for me to adjust the valves. I think everyone should have a Honda with a 2.4 as a backup car. You can count on them.
@@JesseMgala Meh it’s a Toyota, it will probably last forever if taken care of anyway. I have a 2008 Accord (first year of that generation) and it is sitting at 375k, still feels great and I’ve had no issues with it
I own a 2008 Toyota Corolla i have currently 815K miles on it, still drive it all the time, original engine and still get over 30MPG. My Corolla has made me a Toyota man thru and thru. Edit, i bought it brand new with 7 miles on it off the lot.
A couple of years ago I read about an Accord owner in Maine with 1,300,000 miles. I think other than routine maintenance he had the car painted. I think it was a '94 model but not sure. Honda gave him a new car. They got a lot of publicity and it was really a big deal as well as it should be and in Maine no less where winter can destroy any car. He did all his own maintenance. Gives me hope, my wife's '06 Accord has 160,000 and going strong. It's just a baby!
I worked with a lady back in the nineties who had an 1985 Chevy s10 with standard transmission which she bought new..it had over 900 thousand kilometres on it when she gave it to her son..original motor and clutch…good luck getting a chev to do that today..lol
I have one of those. Best car i've owned to date. It just works. Nothing more or less. AWD is a nice feature to have. Only things to look out for is AC Compressor failure, door lock actuators will fail, (not a bad DIY job), do the valve adjustment at 100,000 miles and change ATF every 30,000 miles.
My 2008 Tacoma is on the cusp of 300,000. Always tried to change the oil @ 3000 miles. Usually succeeded. It’s got a new exhaust.Alternator went once. One new clutch. Changed plugs less than I should have. And that’s it. It’s a tank. Frame rusted out and Toyota gave me a new frame. The only thing that I wish would break is the god awful seatbelt alarm! It’s still going strong, and I don’t even hear it anymore after 13 years😀
I have 3 Hondas, 03 Accord, 04 CRV and an 08 Civic Hybrid. The Hybrid has over 400,000 miles. Buying them were the 2nd, 3rd and 4th best decisions I ever made...Marrying my wife is the 1st...
2006 Chrysler Town & Country T.E. 3.8L V-6: Just crossed 296K miles! Last year I had a misfiring cylinder. Instead of fancy repair work, I simply asked the mechanic to install 6 Bosch Platinum Plus plugs and new wires (I ordered through Rock Auto ;) ) ...and immediately it ran like it was new again! Hasn't misfired since, and the original power is nearly restored. Keep changing that oil!
@Candace Apathe' things happen I've enough things going on in my life not to be that bothered so just worry about your own life not a mistake purely by accident lol 🤷♂️
Mine burned a valve at 235k...did a valve job...inside of cylinders were still awesome...towed it to the junkyard due to rust with 420 k..running like new!

1992 Toyota pickup 22RE. Bought brand new. Drive it like a stole it. 252,000 miles and just changed the font brakes. Gotta double the mileage now!! Registered as ‘classic rod’ in Nevada. No smog required.
My old accord with the K24 engine took a lickin' and kept on tickin'. I used it as a delivery vehicle and put a TON of miles on it. You couldn't imagine a car taking a bigger beating/pounding, just non-stop. Yet all it did was start and drive beautifully day after day, year after year for 11 years. Such a well built and completely dependable/reliable vehicle. When someone hit me and totaled it out there were 250K miles on the clock and everything under the hood was original except for the battery, starter, spark plugs, fluids, and air filters. 2004 Toyota Avalon. 355k. Oil change every 5,000 to 7,000 miles. Timing belt replaced once at 150k. The leather seats aren't even ripped or torn. The only rust on the car is from the rear quarter panel that was replaced from a fender bender with a non OEM panel. You want legendary reliability with nothing but standard maintenance buy a Honda or a Toyota. It's just that simple. Mothers 1996 Corolla is still going strong with nothing but standard maintenance.
