- With the C6 ZR1 missing a few key pieces (like the engine…) I went on the hunt for another Corvette to take to Corvettes at Carlisle!
I ended up buying a wrecked C6 Grandsport, hoping I could get it remotely driveable and well, it didn’t go as planned!
Fortunately, I had a backup plan, but it’s far from ideal…

@@scraplifegarage Its a 91 ZR1 DRM 500 Motor Package DRM ="Doug Rippe MotorSports" with a Callaway Aerobody Original Color was steel blue/steel blue Current color is a Lamborghini purple. A lot more to it but this is the high level description.
This was one of my favorite "Carlisle" videos from all the Corvette youtubers 😆 amazing! 👏

All things considered, the corvette still does better on road than it ever did off road.
Must need a driver mod. My C4 kart was great offroad. It went up sand dunes I've seen dozens of 4x4's not make, because they also needed a driver mod.
Well ol ScrapLife dalt was driving a majority of the time so..
Best car at the show for sure!

If the windows aren’t indexed, the top won’t work.
Well one is broken soooo
Clean out the glass and do the indexing procedure with just the regulator.
All your doing is resetting the upper limit of the windows as when the battery dies it loses the index so the top won’t function since it doesn’t know where the windows are.
I had the same issue on my C6.

Sadly soon all combustion cars including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-(
In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Now they want to slow down all the gas station pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime (Bundesabgasbespassungsverbotsverordnung).
