this kind of middle ground was so refreshing to watch. seeing different people actually coming together and agreeing on multiple topics was so nice to see
Not actually. I relate more to Superman or I guess Clark Kent rather than Ironman. Just because Clark Kent is this awkward nerd who sucks at talking to ladies, and honestly I relate more to him rather than Tony who's a Billionaire, playboy, and has probably a 200 IQ. Most people think Marvel is more relatable because they aren't as powerful as DC. But DC has a human side too. I guess it depends on the character.
@@BerbinKing Exactly. There's a quote that I have seen circulated around for a couple of years. "DC heroes are gods trying to be human, while Marvel heroes are humans trying to be gods." Yes Marvel has more human heroes, or street level characters you could say, but that doesn't necessarily make them more relatable. Same thing with DC. Just because they're super powerful, it doesn't mean they're not relatable.
Agree with the other people here. It's not black and white. I relate a lot to characters like Stephanie Brown & Barbara Gordon on more of a street level but I can also relate to Supergirl with her just trying to find her place in the world. Marvel & DC are both great!
True, some are relatable but most of the characters are OP so I can understand why some Marvel fans are having difficult time trying to be relatable power-wise.
Marvel heroes are inherently more relatable, while DC heroes are more mythic, larger than life characters. You get different experiences as a consumer with both.
Not anymore, I found Batman to be far more relatable than the likes of the shitty Eternals. DC keeps releasing better and better movies and Marvel only gets shittier. You can tell that Disney has an agenda set.
I dont really understand how someone can ONLY like one universe. I love both, they both bring great things, tho of course I lean one way cause I grew up watching DC animated shows/movies. Like if you LOVE the genre of superheros, how can you only like one lmao? Wouldnt you want as much as possible?
Well no, it’s not that you can’t love both, it’s that you can’t love how one executes their ideas. I completely agree. I would say I am definitely more of a Marvel fan but some of my favorite superhero films are DC. I am extremely exited for The Batman because we havent had that grungy, hero at their breaking point type film from Marvel I dont think ever. The closest we’ve seen to this is probably 2008s Hulk, which was multiple years before the MCU was even a thought.

Lol there's definitely something great on both sides I think 😀
I feel like DC heroes' are not overpowered necessarily because their villains are just as strong so while the scaling is higher than marvel the stakes are still the same.

These comics are not popular and definitely doesnt involve their main characters but sometimes do. It's just this torture genre only works well on human characters . the batman characters are so vulnerable so it's easy to create a long term story around them that is "dark" and popular because they are a main popular character everyone knows and they will always be depowered since they never had powers in the first place. Torture scenes and mental manipulation don't last as long in marvel like johhny storm being trapped in another dimension tortured and killed then resurrected only to be tortured again. Or that alien homeworld where you could be kept alive in a jar and mutant experimentation. Is it mainly the batmans stories that people like because theirs nothing like that that I know of in marvel comics so that could be the outstanding thing
Superman is and has always been my hero. He stands for what I believe is the best within us: limitless strength tempered by compassion, that can bear adversity and emerge stronger on the other side. He stands for what I feel we would like to be able to stand for when standing is hardest.
Same, that's why it kind of stung when they used Superman as an example for why DC is not as relatable as Marvel. Superman is probably the most relatable character. You can't use powers as a disqualifying factor because 90% of comic characters would be disqualified.

Heck Even Stan Lee while a big competitor of DC still did SOOOOO MANY CROSS overs in comics movies and video games. In the end Comics and stories are just fun
This is my opinion. Live action movies: Marvel wins. Animated movies: DC wins. For comics: I think it's tied. It could go either way. Conclusion: They are both amazing.

Tom Holland is good, but I honestly feel like he's "too good-looking" to play Peter Parker. Isn't peter supposed to be the lame unpopular kid? I just have a hard time believing that Tom's Peter Parker really would be the unpopular kid when he looks that good. It's a minor thing though
Especially in the sense that he's an "alien" assimilating into American culture and traditions. Big relatable energy for immigrants, refugees and so forth.
Superman is the story of an immigrant living in a whole different continent trying to learn his true identity. An incredibly strong individual that, despite all his efforts, knows that he still has some sort of limits, and therefore dedicates himself to self improvement. Clark Kent, superman's alterego, can also be relatable. In fact, Clark is shy, weak... basically everything that superman perceives has humanity's worst flaws. Of course, he's OP, and may be the most impossible character to beat period, but he's sure a more complex and deeper character than what people might think of
This whole interaction was more civil and peaceful than I expected. Online forums and chats are the exact opposite 😂 I'm glad comic book fans could be represented this way. Exactly! Growing up, I didn't know about this rivalry. I liked DC characters mostly. I liked Spiderman too but had no idea he was Marvel. But now I'm a full on MCU fan and MCU has made me want to read Marvel comics. Meanwhile, Snyder and his DCEU movies are only driving me away from the franchise.

No. Even BEFORE Wandavision Marvel had better shows, the arrowverse is hot garbage and has plenty of issues. Marvel only needs Daredevil and Agents Of SHEILD to surpass DC in the TV Show department.
Because of the movies, people forget that these characters were made for comics. When someone says Captain America, the first thing I think of is Chris Evans, an ACTOR, not a character. He is perfect for that role, you could even say REAL Captain, but It just hurts me that people form opinions about characters from comics based on a form of art that is not written as a comic. I'm not saying that everyone should read comics, it's not everyone's cup of tea, but little to educate themselves about that art format if it is already the place of creation of their favorite characters. I do not know. Maybe I'm just sad because people are limited to what Dc has to offer from movies and series without knowing the full potential of their characters and stories.
I like Comic Book Captaian America and the video game Captain America portrayed in the Marvel vs Capcom games. Oh and Cap from the X-Men Animated series when he teamed up with Wolverine was great also.
When Martin Scorsese said Marvel wasn't cinema he didn't mean that they weren't good. He knows the effort it takes to make the movie, he appreciates the art form and understands why people love it. The problem is that nowadays it's hard for movies that aren't in a franchise to exist. Which makes stand alone movies really hard to make.

I love how even the DC fans were outraged over the Spider-Man slander.
That girl buggin about the Sam Raimi films lol everybody was like whaaaaat???? 😭😭😭😭
Totally agree
I completely agree with your statement. Also Scorsese was much nicer about Superhero movies than other movie directors that really trashed them.
"Who makes it better? Marvel VS DC"
Both Marvel and DC fan: Finally, my time has come.
Marvel for live action films and shows, DC for animated movies and shows.
Nolan's TDK alone was better than entire MCU.
marvel is gonna be focusing more on animated shows so we never know.

@@aubee2744 Zack Snyder's Justice League is better than almost all MCU movies, people are started to appreciate the brilliance of BvS and Joker is masterpiece as well as the The Dark Knight trilogy. But I respect your opinion.

As a marvel fan, I really enjoyed this video, they were so understanding and so cool about everything even when they had different opinions, and I can say I did agree with both marvel and DC fans on some things
*"MY SIDE WOULD WIN IN A FIGHT"*
You know that's exactly why we dc fans clicked the video and in the words of that one guy; "They know whats up"
