      How are you doing with Orca so far? 2.0 was just released and I think it's going to be a game changer! Thanks for watching!

    Man, this is way underrated. Just the info I was looking for. Those layers lines on dome shapes are a nightmare. Orca Slicer makes it smooth as butter.

    Funny how when we have some new program Like Orca we are a bit over whelmed with the learning curve! My 2nd day on Orca and things get better by the hour! Was trying to use CURA on my new Egeloo 4 max and was just not working out. This video alone got me from 30 min to 17 on my Pawn chess piece! thanks! It is so neat to be able to print right from the program to the printer. No USB stick. I am thinking this will be a fun hobby!

      Orca is a really good slicer with a lot of good brains behind the development. By learning Orca, you are also learning Prusa slicer, Bambu Studio and Super slicer. They are all developed from each other. I've never tried the Elegoo 4 max but I was checking them out over the weekend! Nice printers! Thanks for the kind words and thanks for watching! Keep on printing!!

    Thanks for the video. Where should you set the sliders? And what's the print time impacts to where you place the sliders? When you repeatably hit the SMOOTH button does that move the associated slider? Or does hitting the button just change the layer heights and show in the object diagram? Would be nice to know how much smoothing you've applied with a numerical value. Seems a little odd how the buttons & sliders don't necessarily seem linked.

    Great video. This is exactly what I was looking for. I recently started using Orca for my K1 Max (from Cura on my Ender3 v2). Got a lot of Cura down, but going to Orca is another learning curve but a nice one so far. Still trying Creality Print too, but not a fan so far.

    Breaker 1-9er, Over-modulated gain report, turn it down, compress it to get the volume correct. If there's too much breath noise etc, after the compression on that mic, use a gate first to cut that low signal out, big mic can sound much better. Thanks for the info. Enjoying Orcaslicer.

    do you have any tips for the seams? is this a video that you would consider doing in the future? (Seams is one aspect i find i struggle the most with)

    • @pushingplastic7445
      @pushingplastic7445  Рік тому +1

      Good question! If you're printing a cylinder or dome shaped object, the most you can do is set the seam to Random. With models that have sharp vertical corners, it's a little easier to try to hide the seam. In Orca slicer, I almost always use Aligned or Random depending on the model. But sure, a detailed video on seams sounds like a good idea. Are you using Orca slicer or something else?

    • @aliknechtel6478
      @aliknechtel6478 Рік тому +1

      @@pushingplastic7445 I now primarily use Orca with my K1's, previous to that i was a fan of both cura and prusa (still use with the other printers) - i find with orca the seams are much more pronounced and am failing to understand how to best "hide" them with the gaps/trench its creating. with Cura and prusa they were present of course, not not nearly as pronounced.

    • @Lady_Hiccups
      @Lady_Hiccups 2 місяці тому

      Orca does have setting you can adjust to make the seams blend better. I've seen forums and videos on it, but have not tried to apply it yet. n@@aliknechtel6478
