I think PRX will be the next DRX, always qualifying to international events but will never lift a trophy. I feel like T1 or the new DRX will be the one to lift the first International trophy for Pacific this year fingers crossed.
They had their chance and threw it twice already. I doubt they're going to make another finals this year

FPX now has Life and JDG acquired the former Rare Atom core who has shown consistency in the Evo series

@Bread-hv4gy Can't say it's a downgrade until we see them play, it could be an upgrade for all we know. The JDG core has shown consistency in being the overall #2 team and only team to consistently beat EDG outside of finals. I feel like they struggle largest when it comes to nerves in finals matchups when teams anti-strat them. Change in IGL could be what the core needs to get past that last hurdle and mechanically RA core has consistency DRG has only shown in their lower bracket run of Ascension.
@@Bread-hv4gy if you've been following the CN scene for a while, you should know that ascension finals was a MASSIVE upset. The RA/JDG core and FPX far surpass DRG imo

Team Liquid has always been the perfectly mid team. You could expect them to qualify for pretty much everything, but always fall short of a good placement. I don't expect much different from them this year or any years following
On the other hand you have Cloud 9. They've always been the team to be projected to go far and even win it all but when the time matters they choke and end up not qualifying for anything

Ngl, I have doubts of any Chinese teams making it out of groups this year. I feel like the top 4 in the other regions have generally increased with the team moves. Unless EDG or JDG has a good showing against and gets APAC and possibly EMEA 3rd and/or 4th in their group outside of a regional matchup, then go out first after groups.
EDG is the only team that I would argue really is guaranteed to make it out of groups. I think they’re on the same level as DRX’s old roster. Even then I see what you’re saying. China looks like the weakest region.
@JosiahResler I haven't seen anything to back up them being comparable to DRX in the past. EDG barely made it out of groups last year and the only game that they won afterwards in masters was a regional match against BLG. I feel like they'll more stagnate to where we saw T1 last year.

EMEA: Fnatic and Navi ( Fut could be a contender)
APAC: PRX and I would say T1 take that with ease (prx at their worst are still better than most if not all apac teams)
Americas : Lev and sen (interchangeable imo sen could qual through uppers and so could lev but either one will 100% qual through lowers ) (NRG is so overrated and overhyped and they have no structured igl so their performance isn’t going to be as expected) even tho they look insane on paper
Who I think win the titles
Madrid : I would say between either Fnatic Navi (sen or lev being the underdogs to possibly snatch it )
Shanghai: Definitely think a apac team wins this could be PRX but do think If NRG get a igl between the break they would be a contender for this
Champs: Fnatic PRX ( contendors being Navi, and underdogs NRG and Sen) I think zekken goes crazy this year and with the things johnqt and zellsis learn between the masters tourneys just will make them stronger core imo
Tbf with champs it’s really hard to say who’s going to win but I really don’t think Fnatic are going to repeat last year For champs they ain’t really a team to make the same mistakes twice
