YOUR HAIR! OMG I was here searching for leave in conditioners for my low porosity hair BUT I stumbled upon your video and the way your hair is glowing radiate in this video made me stop and watch! Thank you!!!
I just got the Innersense spray as a gift with purchase. I'm excited to try. And I literally just decided last week to use Knot Today as my leave-in from now on.
Tracee did her thing with that leave-in conditioner and with the stronghold gel and the custard. Bravo to her!!! Oh, And how could I ever leave out the mousse!!! It's a banger.
Yes - the leave-in is fantastic, surely one of the best out there. I also buy the “Medium Conditioner” regularly - I get the giant tub; it’s so effective (moisture, slip, quality ingredients).
Brittany please do a review on Giovanni direct leave in. It honestly is EVERYTHING and I know your going to love it. It literally melts my curls and is super adorable with clean ingredients... also, it foams. Lol can't wait to see your future videos 😊
I like and have used As I Am and Kinky-Curly. More often I use Paul Mitchell's The Conditioner, Mixed Chicks Curl Defining Leave-in, or I'll use Treluxe Untie The Knot, but I only use it with the Treluxe System. The smell of Untie The Knot is great it smells like cinnamon.
The Bounce curl cream is a favorite of mine. I love the texture and its very moisturising. Its marketing specifically for tighter curls so hopefully it will work for you. Another leave in that i like is the Treluxe leave in, it has a perfect consistency. Unfortunately the smell is quite strong. Lastly, i enjoy the Aveda (red line) leave in, but more as a refresher as its very liquidy.
Yay I was excited for this one! ❤ I tried the whole no leave-in thing for wash n gos and it just was not for me. I've always been a leave-in girl, I don't know what I was thinking giving into the hype lol. I'm a big fan of the camille rose products I've tried and I find the smell dissipates pretty quickly for me! I've always been curious about the aloe whipped gel, I'll have to give it a try!
I was hopeful, and I really don’t know why. I agree that we don’t “need it” but I sure do if I want moisturized hair lol. I’ve spoken to different professionals and they all have conflicting ideas around it so I’ve just decided to do what I want 🤣😭. Even they agree that there is no one right way to do a wash and go and it’s really all about consistency and paying attention to what your hair needs.
@Brittany Mia right, I totally get the concept and all but it's like...I know my hair and I know leave in has had a very healthy relationship with my hair thus far lol. Just fixing what ain't broken in my case. Glad it works for some though, they can save some money haha
@@BrittanyMiaAfricanHairgod said leave-in is a primer for our hair. According to cosmetic scientists such as Perry Romanowski of the www.chemistscorner.com and Wendy of Scienceyblog and Naturalhairven, leave-in conditioners are the best way to condition our hair since we don't wash out all those fabulous ingredients in our rinse-outs and deep conditioners/masks(which by the way are rinsed out conditioners in a thickened form with the help of emulsifiers). In essence, Leave-In is a MUST for me because I live in a highly hot and humid place and because of the reason above and they help with the process of my styling.
@@BrittanyMia adwoa beauty is great, but if you're sensitive to scents, skip this one. I just threw out about 1/4 of a bottle because I just gave up, despite it literally being the best leave in for my hair moisture and slip ever. I can't sleep with this stuff in my hair. Even days after applying it I'm still bothered by the smell as I go about my day and every night. It's really strong!
Hello Thank you for such detailed information. I'm currently searching leave in conditioner for my daughter's hair. You are a blessing. Thank you keep up the great work!
I found if i have extra time, i like to clip up my hair and use a shower cap or plastic bag, and let the leave in conditioner have time to soak into my low porosity hair for like 10 minutes. I found this worked amazing for moisture absorption and retention because my hair wont soak up anything some days. Also for dry hair days, using spray leave in under a cream leave in work great. I love the kinky curly over the briogeo leave in for the spring weather topped with a gel.
Thanks for the tip! I’ve had many people tell me to let the leave in conditioner marinate in my hair for 10 minutes but by the time I get to that point I want to be done LMAO so I’ll take that into consideration.
You keep dropping gems... back-to-back. 🎉 I just decided on Sunday w/ my wash that I'm gonna use leave-ins. Specifically the KCKT. Also just got Innersense leave-in freebie gift to try. On Sunday I washed and set with UFD + Doux foam & no leave-in... i'on like it. Too dry.
I swear if you like the pattern leave in you’ll LOVE the pattern curl gel. The one in the tube, its a creamy texture. It gives me the vibe of the leave in but with more curl definition
I think I’m gonna try that with the Pattern mousse instead of the leave-in because I’ve heard that you don’t get much hold with the leave-in and the mousse alone. I know you love it because this is like the second time you recommended this lol so imma get a girl!
Just a warning, I tried the Pattern leave in with the mousse and my hair had basically no hold. It looked good, but...no hold. I had better results using the curl gel as a leave in with the mousse on top. That gave me pretty great hold, bounce and shine.
You named a lot of my holly grail leave in. But for the past year I haven't use a lot. The pattern leave in I'm shock how it is good. One leave in that is a holly grail for me is the Giovanni Direct leave -in (og product that never fails me) . The Camille rose butter gel I find I like it as a cream during colder months since I live in the north east (it keeps my hair soft and moisturize).
I’m currently shopping for a good leave-in that doesn’t contain oil/butter. Thank you so much for this video. Can you please make one about moisturizing deep condition with no protein ?
I stopped using leave ins a while back and my hair has been fine, but in this San Francisco foggy ass weather my curls are NAHT lasting. Maybe leave ins and more humidity proof gels will help…
I started back using leave-ins for my wash and gos (especially now that I'm using botanical gels AND mousse) and wow the difference it makes is ridiculous.
where or the products you show i thought you said it in the description box i went look to see what leave in conditioner you use by tracee ross she hve some many leave in conditioner can you tell me which one is your favorite please
I love what kinky curly products do for my hair but can't stand the smell. The classic as I am leave in is my goat. Doesn't work as well as kinky curly but I dig the scent.
Paul Mitchell leave-in conditioner. You can get the generic version from Sally's or you can get the Paul Mitchell from Sally's as well. It's perfect underneath the extreme wet gel that's clear.
That spray is called the Ouidad Advanced Climate Control Detangling Heat Spray 😅 I need to slow down I stay mixing things up!
😂
YOUR HAIR! OMG I was here searching for leave in conditioners for my low porosity hair BUT I stumbled upon your video and the way your hair is glowing radiate in this video made me stop and watch! Thank you!!!
My favorite is the Adwoa leave in. Second favorite is Pattern.
Thanks for sharing!
Fav leave in - kinky curly knot today and Innersense leave in spray
I just got the Innersense spray as a gift with purchase. I'm excited to try. And I literally just decided last week to use Knot Today as my leave-in from now on.
I love the Ouidad Moisture Lock Leave in too! The Ouidad curl quenching rinse out conditioner is my favorite as well ❤

I used that years and years ago and I don’t know why I stopped. Thank you for reminding me of this leave in!
My absolute favorite leave-in conditioner is the “It’s a 10 leave-in (without the keratin)!” ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Thanks for sharing!!

I haven’t tried The Conditioner in a minuuuuute omg. Also, I’ve heard great things about the mixed chicks curl defining leave-in. Tfs!
I love the aloe whipped butter!! I tried it by itself on a twist out and it turned out great
It's so good! Next time I try it, it’ll be by itself.
TGIN green tea leave in with the moouse def is 🔥. Gives great moisture and hold.
Tfs!
I love the Camille Rose Moisture Milk! Idk if it counts as a leave-in but I can use it without anything else and my hair stays moisturized.
Thanks for sharing!
It's just a matter of semantics. It's a hair moisturiser/leave-in conditioner since it is left in the hair without being rinsed out.
The Bounce curl cream is a favorite of mine. I love the texture and its very moisturising. Its marketing specifically for tighter curls so hopefully it will work for you. Miche lavish leave in has crept its way into the number 1 spot for me. It’s so moisturizing. I don’t really plan on buying any others.
Thanks for sharing!

I was going to ask about the products used in your current style. Glad you addressed it. 😂Your hair and cut looks great.
Thank you 🖤.

Yeah. After not using Leave-in for a while, I just feel like my hair got dried out. And that’s with or without the UFD too.

Never seen those beautiful hair ever.
Hey Brittany I never heard you mention Treluxe . The leave conditioner is amazing! It is my favorite and I think you would 😍
Great video. I love the Camille rose coconut water leave in conditioner 🩵
Tfs!
I like the new Dabrat " Kaleidescope" hair products 🎉
I love that Aloe Whipped Butter Gel so much. I had no flaking though.
I’m going to use it up and hopefully it doesn’t flake on me anymore.
OMG what camera do you use?! It looks amazing!
Thanks! I use the Sony ZVE10 with a Sigma 16mm lens.
I’m currently shopping for a good leave-in that doesn’t contain oil/butter. Thank you so much for this video. Can you please make one about moisturizing deep condition with no protein ?
Aloe Butter Gel is lovely and the scent isn't as pungent as Almond Jai.
I love it but its getting too expensive so, I'm looking for an alternative
I stopped using leave ins a while back and my hair has been fine, but in this San Francisco foggy ass weather my curls are NAHT lasting. Maybe leave ins and more humidity proof gels will help…
I don’t know if the leave-ins will, but I know gels will definitely help with humidity.
OKaaay why have i never heard of some of these brands before🤔 I need to give them a try ASAP
Yes, you do! And tie back in with me once you’ve tried any of them out.
I started back using leave-ins for my wash and gos (especially now that I'm using botanical gels AND mousse) and wow the difference it makes is ridiculous.
A world of a difference!
Which ones do you use😊
One of my faves is Kinky Tresses Avocado Infusion Hair Milk... the shampoo from that line is ridiculous
where or the products you show i thought you said it in the description box i went look to see what leave in conditioner you use by tracee ross she hve some many leave in conditioner can you tell me which one is your favorite please
it's their original leave in
They’re linked in my Amazon shop
You're right it's top tier!!! (Camille Rose butter gel) I use that as my leave in and top it with the spiked honey mousse for a bomb wash and go ❤
I love what kinky curly products do for my hair but can't stand the smell.
The classic as I am leave in is my goat. Doesn't work as well as kinky curly but I dig the scent.
If I’m to be honest my old Elasta QP kicks Pattern’ arse any day. I really wanted to like it but no dice.
What camera do you use?
Sony ZV-E10
Do y’all know any leave ins that work with the wet line xtreme clear gel?
Paul Mitchell leave-in conditioner. You can get the generic version from Sally's or you can get the Paul Mitchell from Sally's as well. It's perfect underneath the extreme wet gel that's clear.
For me as far as smells, the Camille Rose honey spiked mousse is just too much! Also Doux Bee girl mousse
Yeah, I can’t handle the smells. They are so freaking strong.
Miche Lavish is my top leave in but I also love As I Am and Kinky Curly Knot Today.
Tfs!
Does the As I am one have good slip? And is it thick or more on the watery side?
