It looks like a small desert town, but apparently, in Europe. Not many "petrol stations" or big trucks labeled "petrol" in the U.S.

It’s really weird to see them without Christmas attire. Considering how bad knight rider 1 was, I’m surprised someone allowed Davilex to deface the franchise once again
Got to say, I’m glad they’ve been back to doing these every two weeks this year. When they moved to weekly last year, it seemed like they were tired of them and they weren’t as funny. Now they are must-see content again!
I like it because it gives me juuuuuuust enough time to forget so that each video is a surprise.

It's interesting to think that the '80s was such an incurious time that not only was a fully voiced AI introduced and NEVER ONCE interrogated, but it had a twin AI that was somehow "programmed evil" and also never really interrogated THAT.

Knight Rider is/was one of my favorite tv shows and i have watched them still since as i know almost everything about it. KARR (Knight Automated Roaving Robot) was destroyed twice in the show. KITT does NOT call Michael master in show NOR talk that way. He doesn't have a gun pop out of the hood as it is NOT Spy Hunter as Bonnie put one in the scanner area which only had 2 shots to hit KARR which failed. The game has good graphics for the time but it shouldn't look like Spy Hunter also. KITT should be able to take a couple direct hits from a missle but not many. KITT cannot drive in ski mode that long. KITT CAN go 300 mph in SSM. (Super pursuit mode). The car is perfect, but there's only one thing wrong with it.....The nut behind the wheel.
So, maybe look up Hasselhoff and cheeseburger.
A local company that does driveways actually used the tagline "It's not your fault, it's the asphalt." for a while. I remember the commercials.
Gotta love a game that doesn't teach you how to play it.

Davilex was an old Dutch dev famous for their super campy games. If you like checking out questionable games you should check out more of their stuff like Amsterdoomed or A2 Racer. (btw, not naming evil Kitt 'Katt' was a missed chance)
To be honest, i enjoyed Amsterdoom more i should. Its somehow charming in its campyness.
But yeah, the "X what ever" Racer games got an special place in my heart.
Got most of the Davilex games from PC Game magazines. Spend too much time in them.
Autobahn Racer over here even got so big that a major German movie Studio created an full featured Movie that actually ran in Cinemas!

@@NeiloNeil since davilex is defunct and the games aren't sold anywhere and there is now no one who own the games they're considered as abandonware.
There are already a few davilex games on sites like myabandonware .
Thinking about to upload my collection of davilex games there too. Just need to remind myself to pick my old pc games box from the basement from my mother's flat when I'm coming to visit again.
Davilex did actually an impressive job translating Thier games to German. With authentic music , radio chatter and maaaaany Germany exclusive games. As child i was thinking they're were based somewhere in Germany . Alone because of the music which sounded a lot like ",Assi Techno" such as scooter.

Anyone remember Viper? A mid-90's attempt by Chrysler and friends to evoke the spirit of Knight Rider while also marketing their brand, starring Max Payne, set in Metro City.
I was a dumb kid at the time and don't know if it was actually any good, probably not, but I would like to check it out again though.
Just learned that Danny Bilson created that show and that this is the same Danny Bilson who ran part of THQ and that he also wrote Rocketeer.
My middle-of-nowhere American town has a main road running through town and a bunch of small local businesses, but all-in-all, yeah, pretty accurate.
5:43 and 5:52 that's all pre-rendered stuff, no material used from the actual TV series as was the case with the first game's intro. I guess the reason the clips with the KITT in the desert plus the close-ups of the dash and tires look so good compared to the rest is that they could replicate the exact images from the show.

K.A.R.R was the "evil K.I.T.T". He was the prototype of K.I.T.T, however, something went wrong with his programming, damaging the "protect humans" bit. I watched this show as a kid.
And if you think they PS2 games are terrible, you should play the NES version.
i actually bought both games together on ebay over a year ago , knowing full well how bad they are said to be , but they were cheap and i played through and finished both of them , they were how i expected them to be in a way , but as a fan of the show - i didn't mind really.
They make the game look worse than it actually is by sucking so bad playing it !! It took them 35 mins each game to do the tutorials, and that's horrible since the 2nd game basically does the same thing. I'm stunned these turds have a game channel to be honest.
C.A.R.R. (the evil K.I.T.T.) was in more than one epissode i believe.
the one where K.I.T.T. was thrown in some sort of acid and got complete retooling (with much more unhinged gadgetry) and one where it was posing as KITT if i remember.
upon some research tehre appears to be series i've never heard of: Knight Rider 2000. K.I.T.T. is replaced by K.I.F.T., and also the one where K.I.T.T. is just a common ugly sports car - i THINK that is the "4000" comment as both KITT and CARR were models "2000").

This game isn't that bad. It gets tedious at times shooting all the robots, but the atmosphere and sounds are spot-on. Plus, you can rip the sound effects from the game and soundboard them if you want.

KARR fell into the water once and was discovered to fight KITT again before being blown up. However the CPU was still alive but never seen again (guessing leaving it open for a part 3).
